QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 02:53 AM) To be using "because he won a World Series" argument, I guess we should sign every crappy player who has a championship ring because he won a World Series right? Don't make me get into a stats argument now either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How many WS rings does Scott Schoenweis have?

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) And we wonder why we can't get a winning team here, Ozzie over Cabrera.. 42 HR's ...Hitting coors light.. Makes a overrated player like Uribe look like a stud. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> USCF was not as homer friendly in 2003 as it was in 2004.

QUOTE(winodj @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 08:24 AM) I'm a little scared that you were able to decipher this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Me too, and I was sober! QUOTE(shagar69 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) wow, i cant believe i always start one of these when i come home wasted, lol. I guess it shows how good i do with girls at the bar, lol. And how can you not like One World? 6 bucks for a large, and u have to wait like 1 min to get it. Bonnie Jeans tastes better but its 2 bucks just for a slice! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You have to realize it's more than just 2 bucks for a slice (well actually it's $2.25 for one, and $4 for two, but that's besides the point) the whole of point of going there is to interact with other drunk college kids, and see which basketball players will show up.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 02:32 AM) I have no idea how to relate to that, but damn you guys eat a lot of Pizza over there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had some frozen pizza (jack's) for lunch today!

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Not if El Duque does his usual and falls apart after 100 innings. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> KW was very impressed with his physical and even if El Duque (God forbid) pitched only 100 innings, it still 100 innings not pitched by Wright, Munoz, Rauch, Cotts, Grilli, Diaz, or Stewart.

I'm going to have to steal this from WHITESOX TROLL from the MLB message boards: Buehrle: 2.63 ERA, 1.07 WHIP Garcia (White Sox stats) : 3.25 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 10.15 K/9 Santana: 2.58 ERA, .93 WHIP, 9.73 K/9 Radke: 4.06 ERA, 1.18 WHIP Buehrle and Garcia's numbers are really inflated due to USCF. Last season the Twins had the better 1-2 punch, but it isn't as largeas a gap as you think. Radke is a very consistent pitcher, but he has averaged 12.7 wins per season. That's very Jon Garland-like.

QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) HAHA. The Twins Rotation is probably the best in the A.L. There is a reason they have held you off the past 3 years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We have a fifth starter this year troll boy. Care to explain why all these rookies from last year won't undergo a sophmore slump like Jody last year?
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Santana, Radke >>>>> Buehrle/Garcia <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No they aren't. Just look at their road splits. The back end of their rotation isn't capable of winning as many games as our back end.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) We can talk about pitching all we want, but I'm not going to say the Sox have a good starting rotation. El Duque is as fragile as china and Garland and Contreras have proven absolutely nothing in the majors thus far. So the Sox have Buehrle, Garcia, and the rest questionmarks in my book. We shall see, we shall see. I do love the Sox bullpen though and I'm not saying the Sox won't have a good rotation, but by all means I could see some experts thinking we have a rather crappy rotation. Just look at the career numbers of Garland and Contreras, nuff said. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh come on. It's still best rotation in the AL Central. Contreras career as a starter: 19-10, 228 IP, 4.70 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 8.17 K/9, .236 BAA Garland will be fine as the #5 starter.

Dog show beats NHL Stanley Cup Finals The NHL officially has gone to the dogs, at least in the television ratings. The USA network's coverage this week of the Westminster Kennel Club show outdrew the rating the Stanley Cup Finals generated last spring. The two nights of dog-show coverage were seen in an average of 2.91 percent of the nation's homes with a TV, according to Nielsen Media Research. In comparison, the Stanley Cup Finals (two games on ESPN, five on ABC) generated a 2.2 rating. Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) Have fun when clowns like Cliff Lee, Westbrook, and Belliard don't magically have career years again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please. Lee and Belliard only had career halfs last year, but this asshole troll just sweeps that under the rug. :rolly

QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) You know what pisses me off is you guys can never realize or accept the fact about things. You guys say the Indians MAY finish fourth. s***..... You are just saying that because you are pissed in every single preseason poll the Indians are ahead of the Sox. Sorry if you don't like it that way but it is true. Say all the s*** you want you guys may be competing for the 3rd spot with Detroit. I try to be fair but you guys flip out so I will to. Your Sox offense SUCKS. You guys have, watch out, Jose Contreas and Garcia. Oh I am trembling...... April 4, 2005 tells the whole story. INDIANS WIN! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Millwood, Elarton, Lee. Laughing my f***ing ass off!! Our offense scored the third most runs in the league last season with Frank and Maggs missing 198 games ASSHOLE!!!!! Dye>52 games of Maggs, Borchard, Timo 162 Games of Rowand> 140 games of Rowand slumping in the first tow months Lee>Podsednik, but they are two completely different players Uribe>Valentin the 2005 version of Crede can't be worse than the 2004 version Konerko is back this year. Iguchi could be better than Harris and Uribe at second. AJ>>>Burke and Davis Garcia is the third best pitcher in the Central, and how did Contreras pitch against your s***f*** team last season you f***ing troll? Thought so. Just wait until the f***ing games are played this year.

QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) Look at the lineup. Look at the All Stars? I think we have you numbered there.... But yes these mean nothing. But I think my Indians will be at least 2. I have to give the Twins my #1 for now. They have it 3 years running. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For f***'s sake how many times do I have to get this through your thick skull? You traded Lawton, Belliard hit .254 in the second half and CC Sabathia had a second half ERA of 5.14. Some All-Stars Millwood is broken down, Lee was abosultely atrocious in the second half, Elarton is not as good as our #5 starter, Boone is another NL that can't cut it in the AL (You mentioned his HR in the ALCS before, but didn't bother to mention that he hit .254 after he was traded to the f***ing Yankees,) and the Indians are actually expection production from chumps like Jose Hernandez, Arthur Rhodes, Alex Cora, and Juan Gonzalez. BTW, this isn't "ESPN's" power rankings, it's Buster Onley's power rankings.
