What's up with this "good fifth starter" bulls***? I'll admit that Garland is better than Rauch, Diaz, Munoz, Stewart, Grilli, or Cotts this year, but I would rather see us have a rotation that pitches 1-5. I'm not satisfied with a 5th starter going .500 for us next year. If we are going to sign or trade for some quality pitching, it'll probably cost us some offense. Let's get two quality pitchers for next year and see if we can move Garland for either some bullpen help or a bat. Please come to the White Sox next year Russ Ortiz and Odalis Perez.

According to Rotoworld, it is a mutual option for next year. Burnitz is trying to get a 2 year 6.5 per year deal from the Rockies.

I could've sworn he has an option for next year of only 3 million, this is why I heard Colorado wanted to keep him.

I transfered into U of I last year and I miss it already. It's alot more fun to not worry about your parents and stay up really late every night. I can't wait for the next semester to begin (but not for the classes.) I'll be turning 21 as soon as I get down there and will be watching the Sox play in the playoffs with everyone else in the U of I White Sox club.
