  1. QUOTE(Yossarian @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) He did very well. Yeah, he looked really sharp in the games I saw, especially seeing him live in Milwaukee. A lot better than I expected.
  2. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) Curry Out Indefinitely f***. At least they aren't taking a Cubs approach to his condition. Hope you come back soon Eddy!
  3. If Texas manages to beat the Angels tonight we will have sole possesion of the best record in the American League.

    First Jobs

QUOTE(DVsoxfan @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) What kind of truck do you have? Chevy S-10 1996, it's nothing special but gets the job done for me.
  5. Willie. I'm not joking either. I was at a game where he had 5 hits, so it is possible.

    First Jobs

I got my first job last summer at the local university working with the dining services. It is not a fun job, but hey, it's money. I got a truck last summer too after working and I love it. I'm hoping to get a better job this summer (I'm still working at the uni) so I can make some more money and get a system in my truck. One thing you should look at in your job is flexible hours. That is the best thing about my job, I make my own schedule and it really comes in handy.
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) He said tallest switch hitter. Yeah I just caught that on the replay. I wasn't paying full attention at the time, my bad. But still, why is that important?
  8. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) For those of us who couldn't watch the game, can someone describe Willie's bunt play? Were the runners off on the pitch, which fielders were charging, where were they, where was the pitch located, anything else interesting? I'm having a hard time understanding how the play worked. He made an OUTSTANDING bunt, Wickman bobbled the ball and Willie ran his ass off and made it to first to load the bases with nobody out. The bunt was placed PERFECTLY down the 3rd base line. Could not have been any better. AMAZING BUNT!!!
  9. Also, the Cubs replay is on CSN. Its always great to watch them lose to a 111 loss team.
  10. QUOTE(Beastly @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) Last minute is never good. Last minut, IMO, is actually the best type of scoring. Especially when you are at home, there is no chance your bullpen can blow it then. Not to mention, it is the most exciting.
  11. QUOTE(Beastly @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) Hardy, har, har..."laugh it up fuzz ball..." I thought it was funny, okay? Go Sox!
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) At last check the 9th inning is during the game.
  13. I'm going to really like the ignore feature now. What a game today! I can't wait until the Twins series. Here's to hoping for some great baseball!
  14. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) Hold up. We still have this willie harris matter to settle...
  15. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) I'll have to go read the game thread in a bit here, I bet that was a roller coaster... To say the least.
  16. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) Aaron would have made it from second... That rarely happens. Once again, SOX WIN so let's stop this before it gets out of hand.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) Moot.. Aaron would have made it home on Juan's hit. He would have made it to third. Juan's "hit" was a deep flyout to right field. Who cares anyways? Sox win!
  18. QUOTE(FlaCWS @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) I don't even get that. Did I start an argument? No you did not. But anyways, let's enjoy this victory!!!!
  19. QUOTE(CubKilla @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) f***ing beautiful. What a way to end CorpseBall We have risen! Happy Easter to all!
