  1. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) I dont know about you but i was screaming a lot more at my TV at the game yesterday vs Charlotte. on a sidenote Kirk looked really good coming back today. I only saw the second half and I thought Kirk shot way too much, especially in the fourth. All in all, from what I saw, it wasn't bad for his first game back. Deng has me worried though because he has been very rusty after coming back from his ankle injury. His wrist needs some time off now IMO.
  2. Congrats! I'm going on my first college visit tomorrow at Marquette. I am also interested in DePaul, Loyola, and Louisville. It's something about going to college in a big city that interests me.
  3. I can't wait until tomorrow to see some White Sox baseball at Miller Park. Winter is finally over. The Bulls beat the Cavs on national tv and are on their way to home court advantage. My internet is working once again after being down most of the day. I'm on spring break!
  4. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 05:04 PM) It's just a shame she looks like a horse. I beg to differ.
  5. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) Letterman is on a roll this week, anyone catch Penelope Cruz last night? She was looking very scrumptious. Anyone? Yep I saw her. Her accent is sexy.
  6. That's awesome! I still can't believe all the growth that this site has seen. Great job Jas and the gang!
  7. We just booked our hotel. $44 for the Sheraton in Brookfield which is less than 10 minutes from the park. If any of you are still looking for hotels, try Priceline because that is what we used and found a great deal.
  8. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) I would rather face the heat than the heat than the pistons honestly. It depends on what Pistions team shows up. They can be dominating, but sometimes they lack the heart. If Brown stays out, I think we might be able to suprise some people against Detroit. As for the Heat, I think we could take them at home, but winning in Miami would be tough and with no homecourt against them, we would have a major uphill battle.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) I'd just love to see them get the home court in the 1st round and somehow pass the Wizards. That would be great...but then we would have to face the Heat in the second round. I wouldn't be too mad about getting the 6th seed because then we would have a legit shot to beat the Celtics and then maybe even Detroit. I'm torn over what seed would be the best. I'll take any seed though after the last seasons.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) You might want to rethink that one. Jaime Burke has 5 ML at bats that were not with the White Sox. The Sox are the one team that has given him a real chance at the majors. And as for "proving" himself, Jaime got 120 ABs last year, which was 10 times the ABs he had ever had in a season. I would hardly call him proven with a career total of ABs that is just barely past the number that would lose him his rookie status. Yeah I guess you are right. He was just a nice guy to have on the team. He got some clutch hits and can play basically anywhere.
  11. I was watching that last night and didn't know it was her. I thought whoever that was was hot, but watched Jay Leno because Tyra Banks was on and she is hotter and much more intelligent.
  12. What a start to the game. How huge would it be if Carl can return to his All-Star form?
  13. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Burke has already been sent down. Why does the organization s*** on Jaimie so much? He has proven himself numerous times in the big leagues.
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) (On a sidenote, I dunno what to think about this fantasy baseball trade -- Ichiro, Marcus Giles, and Guardado for Willis, Nixon, and Vidro) -- Thread hijack over, my bad. If you were the one who got Ichiro that's a great trade. If not, thumbs down.
  15. I'm sure there will be a big walkup and it should sell out, especially if the weather is nice.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) They are trying to make room for Bmac. They don't want anymore pitchers. Yeah I understand that but I don't want them to rush BMac up after seeing what it did with Cotts.
  17. I dont think you can ever have too many pitchers.
  18. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) ESPN 1000 also said the Rox are trading Charles Johnson to Tampa..and the Rox are getting B Kim from Boston.. not sure for who. Maybe the Sox will trade Ben Davis to the Rox for B Kim....not likely but who knows. Total speculation here. Hmm, I would definitely like that trade.
  19. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) 19/M 1) Yes. 2) The city. I was thinking parents at first, but just thinking of all the horror stories we see just in the SL&P forum of SoxTalk of crazy parents, the city seems the safer choice. Yeah my parents are crazy about curfew. It is usually 10:30 but sometimes 11. The city's curfew in my town is 1 am I think on weekends and 11 during the week.
  20. 16, Male 1. Yeah 2. The city/mayor or whoever
  21. This reminded me of my old Fossil who's battery went out a while ago. I'll stop by Target tomorrow after work. Thanks for the advice Soxy.
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxfan56789 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 10:28 AM) http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gaged That's awesome.
  23. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) You guys know where you are sitting yet? If so PM me, and we'll stop by and say hey if we have enough time. Nah my Dad just wants to buy tickets the day of the game. If plans change I'll let you know. We'll prolly end up sitting in the outfield bleachers though, it's something that reminds the old man of his glory days in the Tiger Stadium $1 bleachers.
  24. We are going to both games and staying somewhere Friday night. I guess my mom is finding the hotel. Thanks for all the info Jim, I will be sure to get there early and watch some BP.
