  1. I read some reviews on it and think I'm gonna go for it. It is only $40 too, so that's a plus. Thank god for my poker skills, I'm buying this one because of my friends money.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) There is no monthly fee, just the cost of the adapter. You'd probably want to have a high speed connection like cable or dsl if you're gonna be playing online. I've got a cable modem, so that is no problem. The adaptor is about $50 isn't it?
  3. Earlier this year we beat them by 25. They have been on a roll since then though. Coach Punter said this is the best team he has had since the Bishop and Drew years, which is pretty solid. The amazing thing is we only had one returning starter from last years semi-state team.
  4. CLASS 4A 1. MICHIGAN CITY Concord (22-1) vs. Gary West Side (17-4). South Bend Clay (13-11) vs. Valparaiso (21-2). It looks like it will be a Valpo versus Concord matchup. Last year we beat Concord in this same game in Michigan City as well. I sure hope its a repeat this year.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) The network adapter. MVP online. About PS2 online...I'm thinking of buying it. Is it just the cost of buying the adapter and no monthly charge like on XBox? Also, is the adapter all you need to play online? Thanks in advance.
  6. I got my ticket for regionals today. Courtside, baby! I can't wait til Saturday!
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) C.C. Sabathia will take a week off after suffering a strained oblique yesterday. It's unlikely that he'll be ready for Opening Day. It's only a mild strain, but since it'll be a week before he resumes throwing and another week before he again takes the mound, Sabathia might not be ready to rejoin the rotation until mid-April. Jake Westbrook is likely to start on Opening Day in his place, with Jason Davis set to occupy a rotation spot. I can't wait for opening day..
  8. Valpo lost to Chicago State in the first round of the Mid-Con tourney last night. :headshake It was VU's first opening round loss in 18 years. :puke

    Only In America

Only in America...do people pay money to ruin their skin and increase their chance of cancer.
  10. It's nice to see clips of Frank working out! They say "He hopes to be back sooner than anyone expects."
  11. QUOTE(AstralSox @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Ah yes, the MLBPA...hmmm I wonder if Bonds and Damian Miller don't belong either....because they're never in games either. Thanks for the info though... Yeah neither of them are in the games. Barry Bonds is John Dowd in MVP 2005. I'm not sure about Miller though. If you play MVP, you should check out the thread in the formerly named sports bar. Its now AJs Oldtyme Pub or whatever.
  12. Nope. Since he hasn't played in a major league game yet, he isn't in the MLBPA so he can't be in the game yet. You can download roster updates later in the year if you play online.
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) Hmm.. Giants falling apart..? I guess so. The first AB I saw today was Borchard's second home run. So I haven't seen any outs and three runs.
  14. 6-5 on an error by the SS for San Fran. Why didn't Ozuna make it to 2nd?
  15. 6-4 now.. The offense is picking up and Ben is impressing. Valdez with the RBI btw.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) With the NFL's nonguarenteed contracts, it doesn't matter. You can release someone at anytime, and you don't have to pay the rest of their contract. Gotcha. I don't keep up with all the contract guidlines in the NFL.
  17. Why do they keep signing 32 year olds to five plus year contracts? At least they are getting some talent. Let's see if they can stay healthy.
  18. I'll be watching for sure. I love this show. It wasn't on last weekend though, because of the Oscars.
  19. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) Good basestealers maybe, but whoever is saying that is a real dumbass... It's simple -- the catcher has a longer ways to throw the ball to get to second, thus, increasing the chance for a more innacurate throw, and giving the runner more time to steal. Yeah stealing third is much harder than second. When I catch, I love when idiots try to steal third on me. As long as your pitcher doesn't fall asleep and not pay attention to a runner, no matter how fast he is, a good catcher will throw him out.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 10:21 AM) Are regionals at City? Yup.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) Over-rated I agree. You should get out to the HS and watch the regionals next weekend. It's going to be us, SB Clay, Concord, and the winner of the West Side-Munster game Monday night. I'm really stoked about our team, it's cool when my friends are leading the team to the sectional championship as sophmores.
  22. Valparaiso 64 Crown Point 36. Sectional champs. It's now off to Michigan City for the regionals.
  23. In the opening round of the Mid-Continent Tourney, the 7 seed Oakland upset the 2 seed UMKC so this means Valpo will now play Oakland in the semifinals, assuming they beat 6 seed Chicago State tomorrow. VU has never lost to Oakland in their history.
  24. Wow, what an ending to the Oklahoma State-Texas game. Ok State was down by three and Terrance Crawford threw up a half court shot and got fouled. He had to make all 3 free throws to keep the longest home winning streak alive and he missed on the second one. On his third try, with .3 seconds left, he tried to miss it but it went in. Edit: I'm a little late on that one
