Soxtalk Fantasy Football
whitesoxin' replied to MinnesotaSoxFan's topic in PTC/Contest/Fantasy Board
I signed up. I am "Bears". A few questions, are we having a live draft? I think we should. And is it Rot. or H2H? -

I guess that's what happens when I turn the game off. I won't watch anymore and hope for a comeback.

1st half fantasy baseball busts
whitesoxin' replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I have five guys on the DL now. I suck in every category. I traded Aramis Rameriez for Morgan Ensberg at the beginning of the year and then dropped Garrett Anderson because Rotoworld.com said he could be out for the year. And now my most consistant player, Melvin Mora is on the DL. And how could Sidney Ponson be left off the busts list? He is 3-11 and on my team. -
I will be in school then. It's a half price Monday too.

What is Sox record in games you attended???
whitesoxin' replied to quade36's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This year they are 3-1, but the one loss was the first game of a double-header against Baltimore when we lost 1-0 and Garland threw 8 innings of 1 run ball and lost. -

You should try changing your fake email address about every 25 to make sure the votes are registering.

Cool. You will like "Da Region" a lot. It is close to Chicago, but isn't too busy. It is really growing in the last decade. We built a house in the country on the outskirts of Valpo and new houses and businesses are taking over. If you like Deep River, you should check out Tubing Tuesdays, it's a great deal.

But we got the Phillie fans on our side as long as we vote Abreu which helps keep Rameriez out. Also, the Boston fans will be voting for Frank. We can do this! Don't have an attitude that we can't make a difference. Get to MLB.com and vote!

Thanks for the recap. It's good to hear what KW has to say.

I love to go there. It has gotten a whole lot bigger in the last 5 years or so. I had a season pass the first year it was open and had a blast. I've only been there once this year but am probably going to go a lot more once it gets hotter out. So do you live in Merrillville, Yoda?

That is great news! Hopefully he can come out and show the home folks just how good he can be.

Yeah I know that we had to set up the DP and play the percentages, but when you need two more outs to push the game into extra innings, you should just go out and pitch to them. It was 7 and 8 in the lineup IIRC and if you are afraid of the Cubs 7 hitter you are in trouble. I was just so pissed last night....

That's what I have been doing. Abreu has had a good year and deserves it. I feel Phillie fans pain because they are in first place too and only have one representative.

I watched Tennis for the first time in a long time this weekend just for Sherapova.

I know one person who went to Marquette and then transfered to IU. I know it's a big party school, but that isn't a bad thing. It is near the top of my list for now, but I still have three years to decide. My sister is actually being recruited by the Navel Academy to play volleyball and she loves it. She went to what is called a summer seminar a few weeks back and had a ball. I know the acceptance process is long and stuff, and I will try to find out exactly how it is. I will ask my sister tonight if I see her. One bad thing about the Navy is you only get a few weeks off for the summer and then have to commit five years. I visited the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and really enjoyed it. Nice campus with nice people.

Same thing for me. I only saw Sunday's game and was shocked. It was the only game I saw out of all 6 this year and it was just hard to watch. Carlos almost saved the day, but then out two best relivers couldn't even throw a strike. It just proved to me why IBB are stupid. Never give the other team a free base, especially in an NL ballpark.

I missed something here. Have your so called "fun" I guess.

It is fitting how we get screwed in by the fan voting and then the manager selection, and then they decide to put two Sox on the final ballot going up against a Japenese Yankee. All the Yankees fans and Japenese people versus Sox fans who have to vote for two guys. :headshake

Yeah, it does. But I will be having fun in Northern Michigan spending the Fourth with my cousins. We will go Jet-Sking, Speedboating, and setting off illegal fireworks smugled in from Indiana. Hopefully I can listen to Saturday's game on the way up there and I might be able to see some of tomorrows game because I will be downtown and we might spend some time at ESPN zone. I am on my way out right now. I hope to come home to White Sox winners on Monday.

Well I wasn't old enough to remember that. I didn't really start truely following the Sox until about 1998 when I turned 10. That's what I meant by my post, for me to see him start an all star game. I was pissed off last year when he didn't make the team in his home park because I had the honor of going to the game only to see Carl Everett there over Frank.
-
Only 35 of our remaining games are out of the division. I would be shocked if the Sox didn't run away with it in July and August. It might be close at the All-Star break because we have to play the Cubs and Angels, but then it is a lot of AL Central teams that we should feast on.
-
Last weekend I missed Saturday and Sunday's games and they won both. I will be leaving tonight to go out of town for the fourth, so I will miss this whole series. Let's hope we get the same results. Let's go White Sox! :fthecubs
