On one of the news channels, I think it was CLTV made a positive out of his blowup. They said "It's great to see Kerry Wood and the Cubs having emotion. This is a real good sign for the Cubs." How the hell could you say that?! :headshake :puke

They gave away 3,000 complementary tickets, so every seat was sold/taken. Since when is giving away 3,000 tix not a good promo for a team? More fans will eventually come, so don't worry.

White Sox fans have work. Some White Sox fans have school. Some White Sox fans live over an hour from the park. Cubs fans on the other hand are either retired, tourists, or business people that don't know anything about baseball. Day games shouldn't be scheduled for the Sox, even if it's cold. I haven't seen one home game all year because of school/baseball, yet alone be able to make it to the park. If the Yankees games don't average about 25,000 then I'll be damned and then begin to wonder why nobody comes to the park. On a side note, a "sox fan" called into the Sports Page on CLTV and claimed only 10,000 people attended Opening Day. All they talk about on that station is the attendence for the Sox. :fthecubs

Another great thing about this game is Baker left Wood in for 133 pitches. It's only April Dusty, you're going to throw Wood's arm off. Thank god we got a good manager who doesn't harm his pitchers. Edit: He threw 131 and I didn't realize it had been mentioned earlier.

Once I hear a press release saying he is out for the year, then I'll believe it. There has been a lot of speculation, and I certainly wouldn't complain if it is true.

After the 7th inning, I just went to play that game. It worked well as I played against my uncle, who is visiting, and won 3-0 against the Cubs and Loaiza pitched a complete game. I then beat up on the Tigers, 12-2.

The Channel 9 news just showed a new commercial from Pepsi. It has Sammy Sosa walking up to a taco stand and then he takes a bite of the taco and it is too hot. He then drinks a Pepsi to put out the fire or whatever and then the guy who put hot sauce in the taco to make it hot walks away and puts on a White Sox hat. He then does the sammy salute that Scammin Sam does after homeruns.
