  1. After six straight free throws from Xavier, which resulted from Technicals on Barnes, Xavier is going to the Elite Eight. 79-71 over Texas is the final, it's Xaviers first trip to the elite eight, and makes it two A-10 schools in the final 8.
  2. 72-71 Xavier with about 15 seconds left. Should be a good ending, Xavier is taking the ball out of bounds now.
  3. He threw six shutout innings in his last outing. Even if it isn't against the regulars, 6 shutout innings is good. Hopefully Wright can have good control, because that is all I believe kept him from being on the staff all of last year, barring his injury.
  4. That's awesome. The more White Sox sites the better. Good luck.
  5. No, I was out of town since last Friday, the game was that Saturday at Layfeyette. I know they lost though. Wasn't the score in the thirties? Anyways, almost all of the school was out of town for spring break, so having no crowd could have made a difference, I don't know. And, my dad threw away the newspaper that had the article in it so I don't know a lot about what happened.
  6. At least you weren't on a plane. My flight left Tuscon last night at 4:50 (5:50 our time) and we didn't get to Chicago until 12:45. The flight went from Tuscon to Alberquerque then to Kansas City and finally to Chicago. We were grounded in New Mexico for almost 2 hours. I thought I would at least be able to see the end of the later games, but I guess not. BTW- Go Illini! I never thought I'd say that, but I hate Duke.
  7. What is the Sox overall record in ST now? I know they have won a lot this past week, but I lost track.
  8. Anybody who wants some outfielders, make me an offer. My OF is actually very good, I just have way too many of them. I am need of a SS or 2B, but mainly a good to average SS.
  9. I wasn't sure until I saw it this past week. Defiantly Juan.
  10. I was at the game today and Mark looked very good. He was sharp all day long and only gave up the one solo shot. One thing I was surprised to see was 3 of the first 5 or so outs were on the base paths, they should have scored a few more in the first and second innings. In the two games I saw in person, I was very impressed.
  11. I just got back from Tuscon a few minutes ago. I was at last Saturday's and today's game. Buehrle pitched both games and looked great. Uribe impressed me and I hope that he gets the starting spot at second. For all of you that have never been to Tuscon, I recomend going. I had never been there and was very impressed. I stayed at the Tuscon "El Conquistador" and it was an amazing golf and tennis resort in the foothills. It was pricey but amazing. As for autographs, I got Crede, Wunsch, Konerko, Baines, and Sweeney. Not bad for only one day getting there early enough. (My sisters slowed us down and we got there late today)
  12. I was at the game yesterday and was very impressed. 14 runs was great and Gload killed the ball out to left. It was a great time. I'll write more when I get back home.
  13. I take it you haven't been to TEP park. The "ceiling" is really weird. I was there yesterday and saw a lot of people get hit off of deflections. It's hard to explain and I'm wasting some of my 30 minutes allowed time to use the internet here at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tuscon.
  14. At least they put up a fight for a good 30 minutes then Gonzagas scrubs owned Valpo's scrubs.
  15. Wow nevermind. VU chocked in the second half.
  16. Valpo cannot hit a shot. If they were shooting even 40% instead of 30% they would be very close. Don't count them out just yet though...
  17. Well, I'm only 15... Now I know where to go in 6 years.
  18. Damn it! I went to get my pizza out of the oven and I missed the ending.
  19. Whoa! 5 seconds to go, SIU down by 1 again after both teams hit shots.
  20. Yeah, it's always hard to come back from a knee injury. My sister had a knee injury during a soccer game her senior year and never played again. Congrats on making it too. Our school had 35 freshman alone try out and they kept 15, so I'm not bad. I was surprised to learn this week that I will be a starting outfielder, because I have mostly played infield and pitch/catch all my life. But as long as I start I'll be happy. Our coaches go so die hard because they pride themselves in being the "best program in the state".
  21. It turns out here in Valpo, they will not broadcast the Valpo game because damned DePaul is playing at the same time. CBS would not allow our local cable company to carry it because of Direct TV's package for the tourney. Now I have to listen to the game. :fyou CBS and DePaul.
  22. Lucky bastard. Ours has the most wins in Indiana in the last 10 years. It is almost impossible to make Varsity. I envy those "garbage" and small schools unless I do make Varsity and then we kick ass.
  23. Yea! That's about all I'm concerned with doing other than watching some baseball. I can't wait!
