  1. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan @ Jan 1, 2005 -> 11:43 PM) Who will have the biggest impact on Chicago sports in 2005? Prior and Wood. :headshake Does anyone really give a damn what the Cubune or the flubby trolls that read it have to say?
  2. Wasn't that the hip injury that ended his football career?
  3. Damn, the Chi Sox having a bandwagon?? WHO KNEW!
  4. A little winning streak does not a season make. I don't think they'll make the playoffs this time but they should at least be more fun to watch than they have been in recent years.
  5. There're 2 Air Force Bases near D.C. Bolling AFB and Andrews AFB. Both of them have fighters stationed there but like I've said in numerous posts before it takes time to call the pilots in, brief them and get them airborne. That was not the 50's and 60's when we had pilots on ground alert ready to fly air defense missions 24/7.
  6. From Family I got a total of $350 cash. I always steer my folks toward cash or gift cards because they never know what to get me. With that I bought a new PS2 with some games: Metal Gear Solid:3 Metal Gear Solid to replace the scratched one I had Gran Turismo ( the original one ) HALO 2 for the X-Box The remainder went for the following DVD's 48 Hours Euro-trip Casino Also as a Christmas present from me to myself I went down to Grandstand by the Cell and got myself a kickass reversible White Sox jacket and a license plate frame to help personalize the car I bought a few weeks ago. All in all it was a really good Christmas.
  7. Lou Malnati's is awesome, but instead of Just-a-pizza Take yourself a couple of miles up Archer to the new Home Run Inn which is between Austin and Narraganssett.
  8. If you're the avid X-Box dude you say you are you already own HALO and HALO 2 so I suggest you wait till like March cause Doom 3 is supposed to come out for X-Box then.
  9. According to Fox News the death toll has passed 24,000. Unreal.
  10. Signing Duque. Without the 5th starter any of the other moves would have been for naught.
  11. I hope everyone's holiday was good as mine was. It sure was awesome to have the whole family together again for the 1st time in 3 years. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
  12. Yup, It's certainly about time for their end of year el-foldo job.
  13. Not this year for me.........and that is a most welcome change.
  14. 25+ wins?!? That's one hell of a poll choice considering that I dont think anyone's done that since Either Bob Welch or Dave Stewart did in the late 80's.
  15. For most of today I was watching the inside of my eyelids. I got totaly destroyed last night. When I woke up this morning I felt like a train hit me.
  16. If you knew anything about me, or read any of my posts for that matter, you'd know that I've slammed KW for ths s*** moves he's made and slammed him all of last season for leaving us without a viable 5th starter ( Tee-ball stand/roulette wheel posts ring a bell? ) but I just happen to like where he's taking us this season and most of the board agrees with me. Kool-aid sipper? Hardly. I'm a realist. I'm not going to jump up and down saying we're gonna win it all but I do think we're truly capable of at least winning the division this season. Prove me wrong.
  17. I guess someone forgot to tell him that hitting a ton of homeruns only won us a 1st round exit in the 2000 season and nothing else. :rolly
  18. Sometimes I wonder if "fans" like you want this team to fail just so you can talk s***. Give it a rest already. We blew ass last year and we retooled to make things better. How does taking Willie out of the lineup negate anything? WH couldn't steal a base to save his whole families life so what good is his "speed" anyway? You're long on talk and short on facts. Had we done nothing..........People like you would complain that we did nothing. Had we overpaid for every big time FA out there.........People like you would complain that we overpaid and that we'd suck anyway. Now that we did what we did.........You're complaining that we're gonna suck again.
  19. If Eckstien can be brought over for the right price then I say pull the trigger. I wouldn't shed too many tears if it falls through but I still would like to see it happen.
  20. I had issues with that article. I do agree that they went the cheap route with Duque but that clown will be eating some serious crow if a healthy Hernandez ( and there's no evidence to think he's not at this point ) wins 14-15 games for us. My biggest beef with that, though, is that he was lamenting the loss of Lee and Ordonez. As several posters have noted in other threads we had become a team with nothing but boppers on board. Now that Ordonez and Lee have been replaced by Dye, Posednik we are weaning ourselves off our total reliance on the long ball in favor of a good balance of speed and defense while retaining Konerko and Thomas/Everett for power. Also we have significantly strengthened our bullpen by adding Vizcaino and Hermanson. As other posters have correctly noted, we havent won anything the last 4 years with the players we have now so a retooling was needed and I think KW accomplished that. If they bring over Eckstien like they are talking about then that's just icing on the cake.
  21. I wonder if Daddy having to potty train him again was part of the deal?

    Car questions

If it's being left outside you may also consider a tarp to cover the exterior. Auto parts stores will sell you one that is made specifically for your size car.
