LOL! This certainly isin't the 1st time I've heard stories like this. Kind of reminds me of the opening scenes of the movie "Payback" where Mel Gibson steals 3 bucks from a "vietnam vet cripple" then chokes him out when the guy gets up to stop him. "I cured ya"

LOL! That thing looks like a rolling deathtrap. One good fender bender and you're pushing up the daisies. Once they declare you dead on the scene they can haul you off to the cemetary and bury you in that thing. Meanwhile the SUV that hit you drives off with a scratch in the paint.

That's what happens when you're as wildly successful as they have been.

Evenflow! BTW Thanks for the flashback to my HS days.

Play with? Dont you mean sit on?

That's what I was thinking. It's not about individual performances but what can be accomplished as a team.

Who the hell are these guys anyway?! I dont know who kidnapped the real Bulls but I dont want em back. -
All I can say to that is..........

I heard on the TV weather it's supposed to be 10 below for the actual air temp on Christmas morning. Charming.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. This guy is nowhere near ready to start on a MLB club.
-
What about him? This aint 1993 ya know. :rolly

In the spirit of the season I recommend renting "Bad Santa". Somehow the idea of a drunken mall santa staggering through the crowd waiting to see him and knocking everything over is hysterical to me. I was laughing so hard at that movie it hurt.

The cold and snow in Cleveland didn't seem to bother them too much I see. -
I dont give 2 s***s about the politics of a firm or business. When I open my wallet its to buy quality stuff at a fair price regardless of where their donation money went. Yet another stupid, petty idea just as the boycott of leftist musicians and movie stars by right wing people is. Intelligent people will not deprive themselves of good music or good shopping or good movies based on something so petty as politics. Intelligent people are able to forget about politics for just a little while so they can, you know, enjoy life.

Potential is just exactly that. Show me something, you know, like being able to hit the ball consistently. I dont think that's asking a lot from someone who wants to play everyday in the MLB. We just unloaded Jose Valentin, in part, cause he K'ed too damn much. Team strikeout guru is one position on this team Id much rather see go unfilled.

I can't believe there were people on this board mentioning this s*** team and the word "playoffs" in the same sentence after that fluke win against Minnesota. Their heart was certainly in the right place but anyone who takes an objective look at this team knew that this team couldn't run the table on a barroom pool table let alone against 4 NFL teams. This is the time of year when the cream rises to the top and, predictably, the B-B-B-Bears are heading south. Jerry Angelo royally f***ed this team over this season by not signing Kurt Warner as a truly viable backup to Grossman but it goes deeper than that. Even if we did have a real quarterback taking the snaps there is nobody there to protect him & no recievers capable of catching a cold let alone a tight spiral. About the only place we're solid on the offensive side of the ball is at RB with Jones and Thomas but even they need someone to block for them. I really feel sorry for the 44 thousand suckers who paid an average of 80 bucks or so apiece for the privelege freezing their ass off to see this s*** team get pwn3d! at home again. Bear weather my ass. If this team manages to score an offensive touchdown the rest of the season Id be completely and totally shocked.

Texas' other football team

I thought about going to a game this season but there was no way I was gonna pay big bucks to go down there and freeze my ass off to watch a s*** team like this get pwn3d! at home like that. I just sat there in my recliner in my warm house laughing my fool ass off at every 2 yard pattern thrown on 2nd or 3rd and long. The announcers on TV were even making fun of them too. "They haven't been in shouting distance of the End Zone all day long." "That offense isin't gonna score the way they're going." They can make all the excuses they want about the cold but David Carr didn't seem to have any trouble making some nice passes for big yardage. The defense played a really great game even without Urlacher but they seemed to just give up in the 4th quarter. Probably worn down from being out on the field too much. -
Is it just me or does the TV treat every little piss-ant 1" snowfall like a disaster these days? I remember when I was a kid back in the 80's we'd have 6" on the way and the TV would barely mention it in passing.

Say we do Pocket this Money, Then what?

We dont solidify this rotation and I guarantee you we wont be in contention come June/July. -
Agreed. Someone in Indy forgot that it's defense that wins championships.
-
I can defenitely see that. I think he'd be a lot more valuable in that role & it'd give the younger catchers in the system a chance to gain some experience.

What a great bet this was for me. Texans and the Under. SCORE! -
That's not saying much. Having Diaz is nothing more than a tee ball stand and if you start Grilli its like moving the fences in 100 feet. Neither of them is a starter in the MLB.
-
I like the fact that we're trying to go more for speed and defense with Posednik but that extra cash has got to get put to use to solidify the rotation.
