But we are better. You cant expect everybody going to Sox games to be Mr & Mrs Flanders and their kids. Fact is that at about half your crowd at any sporting event is gonna be young men and when they start drinking they sometimes act stupid. I think it's good that we dont have the violence problems as bad as other venues but it really sucks that we're the only ones who get that much publicity.

He's facing the Flubbs again in the middle game. Now we're gonna see what he's made of. Does he have the balls to hold down the Flubbs hitters a second time in a row or is he gonna fall on his ass and revert to his usual T-Ball stand form from his 1st 2 starts. We'll soon find out.

Polish Joke alert!!! There were 3 guys walking down the street, an Englishman, an Irishman and a Polak. The Irishman is next to volunteer and knowing the Irish the choice seems clear. "I'll take a swig 'o' poison" says the Irishman and seconds later he falls over dead The polak is the only one left standing and he gives the Grim Reaper a look like he's slick and he's gonna fool someone. "Gimmie the Aids Virus" says the polak and the GR waves his hand and gives him a very advanced form of Aids. The polak laughs out loud while the GR stands there wondering why someone seconds from death is laughing so loud. Finally the Polak explains " HAHA Jokes on you. I was wearing a condom."

Any time you mix sports, alcohol and young men you are going to have the potential for some of this type of stuff. You throw in a few loudmouth assholes who cheer for the other team and that's a 2X multiplier.

I agree. We need to make amends for rolling over the way we did the last month of last season. This is a much better team than we had then and we need to play like it.

I can't say I rule out anything this year. Attendance is already way up from last season and it'll only get better with this move. Plus there's a buzz around this team which is even stronger, I think, than the 2000 team. Add to all that that Jerry has already given KW more money to work with. Anything is still possible.

It's hard to say that because we haven's seen either of them in a playoff game yet. You said yourself that pitchers always elevate their game in the post-season. Why are these guys any different?

I totally agree that we should have gotten Garcia in the off season and I have derided KW for trying to take the cheap way out again. It obviously didn't work & it cost us about 4-5 games in the standings. Maybe this will serve as a lesson learned but it probably won't.

The Stro's have to show me something before I'll consider them contenders. Right now they look like their bark is a lot worse then their bite.

Everybody knows you aren't gonna get 8-10 runs a game against the best pitchers in the leauge, that's why we needed the quality starter that bad & we paid so much to get him. I think MB, E-Lo and Garcia are going to do very well in the playoffs and we'll get em just enough runs to make some noise there. That's just my $.02 though we'll have to wait a few months to see how this plays out. That all being said I think our lineup is about as solid as its gonna get. If we're going to go get another big bat then it's gonna cost us more than we can afford to pay for it and it'll end up doing more harm than good.

Agreed about the Reds. The only two things holding them up is Griffey and Larkin. One of them goes down with injury ( as they both are prone to do ) and they are toast.
