I'm gonna have fun with this one. Subverted democratically elected governments in S. America? I hear you cry about what the CIA did back in the 70's and 80's but I never hear you utter 1 word of complaint about what the Soviets did to the Hungarians, or the Czechs or the Poles, or the Latvians, or the Estonians or the Yugoslavs or the East Germans etc...etc...etc. They didn't really have any government beyond the walls of the Kremlin & anyone who dared deviate from the communist party line had tanks sent down main street to remind them who was in charge. They suffocated nearly a whole continent for 50 years and would have done so with the rest of us had it not been for the U.S. and its big, bad awful military. I just love your pinpoint selection of a few historical events to tell us how awful America is. Osama has beat us? Nope. Osama has not beaten anything except himself. He did manage to pull off the greatest terrorist attack in history, but all it served to do was piss us off. Now he is underground, the government that supported him doesn't exist anymore and he cannot threaten us in any greater capacity than making blustering tapes talking about death to America that most of us make jokes about now. Since you obviously know nothing about what happened on 9-11 allow me to refresh your memory and educate you about military operations. What would you have had Bush do? Jump into a waiting F-16 outside the school and haul ass to NYC? (Laughing at this point) Nah. Instead he did what he was supposed to do and what any other president would have done. He ordered the FAA to ground all commercial flights and land those that were in the air, he also ordered the Air Guard to scramble fighter jets to begin intercepting and, if necessary, shoot down suspect flights. He did all this in minutes and then went aboard Air Force 1 a short time later when he was thought to be at risk. By the way, it does take time to get planes in the air when there is no previous threat and pilots are not on ground alert (i know you are clueless about military operations but I'm trying to help you here). They have to be called in, the planes have to be pre-flighted and armed and then they have to travel from air force bases scattered throughout the region to the Combat Air Patrol area. Does this help you? Probably not as myopic as you are but I tried. To say Bush did nothing while we were under attack is as stupid and baseless in fact as it is mean-spirited. A few last points. Slick willie had Osama there for the taking and let him go. PERIOD. He does his job and the rest of the "intelligence failures, which by the way were caused in large part by onerous federal restrictions on the sharing and collection of intelligence placed on their heads by the democratic congresses in the '60s, would have been moot. The patriot act, by the way, corrects a lot of these problems and if Patriot 2 which is in the works gets passed we will have gone farther.

The vast majority of Iraqis are happy we're there? Look at the photos from the fall of Baghdad that had a few hundred people out there when the city has over 5 MILLION INHABITANTS. Also, look at the fact that the government wants to take control in the name of the people. They don't want the US there. AHHH WRONG AGAIN! I was in Baghdad during the fall of the city and the two months after that and we got nothing but a positive reaction from the people there. They thanked us EVERY f***ING DAY for getting rid of Saddam Hussein and his murderous sons. When my unit left Baghdad for Fallujah the people in my sector were sorry to see us leave and BEGGED US TO STAY. When we got to Fallujah, the heart of the "Sunni Triangle" we got more of the same reaction. Your read on this is meaningless. I was there & you were not. I talked with these "disgruntled Iraqi's" every single day while I was there & you didn't. If you don't know what the f*** you're talking about then please shut the f*** up.

Nearly all the people I've served with over there and all the folks I've met that are about to go into harms way are not only willing, but EAGER to go and do their part. APU. I shudder to think about what the world would have been like had your ilk been in charge after 9-11. We would have done nothing. NOTHING. Myself and the rest of the military would have been forced to sit idly by while more jets crashed into buildings and thousands more were killed. Had there been a patriot act before 9-11 then 9-11-01 would have been just another Tuesday, two tall buildings would still be standing and a lot of innocent people would still be alive. For a person as eager as you are to trash the Bush White House over it's conduct of the war against terrorism I think it only fair to ask what you would have done different? How would you, Mr. Can't Be Wrong, have dealt with the situation.

I'm a big Hawks fan from way back, but my enthusiasm has really not been there lately. Maybe it's cause Dollar Bill and Pully f***ed over Amonte and added his name to the long list of awesome players that were f***ed in the ass by the organ-i-zation. As for the Bulls I think there's a ray of hope for them this season & I may even go to a game or two next time I'm in town.

I hate to break this to you but the season is far from over. How about waiting a couple of weeks to see just wnat a "dissappointment" this team will turn out to be.

Patience at the place? This guy is the best hitter on the team and a serious contender for the batting title. You should save some of that venom for those who deserve it.

Finally some sanity.

We lost a game to Minnesota and now the season has ended. Or at least that's what the prevailing opinion on the boards is. COME OFF IT!!! We are 1.5 out with a game in hand on the Twinks. Why don't we wait and see if the Sox are scheduling plane trips to Yank-me stadium or Oakland in October or if they're scheduling tee times in Florida before we start running off at the mouth.
