Hmm, maybe I should have done a little more research on this subject. This seems to make sense. I just remember reading a lot about it at the time. It is hard to tell who to believe. Man I hated Backman when I first heard this. I believe your right about why he was not renewed and not given a fair shake at the white sox job. Just the simple fact that that rumor is out there is bad and hard to shake. True or not. Why is nothing being done to the writer that first reported it. Can't Backman sue him or something? I would think he could. There should be something done to that reporter. This could have killed the man's career.

The wierd thing is people say that personal business should not be reported, but then the same people that do so also know players or coaches. Then they share personal information about them. However, it is all good information about them. I mean if personal information shouldn't be shared, then don't share any of it. Good or bad. If that is what you believe. Isn't that hypocritical?

Can't say I really don't see enough Minnesota games to know if Bates is dropping balls or not. Terrell looks scared at times out there. He always looks like he is aligatoring it when he goes across the middle. I would like to see more of Terrell to be honest with you. I think with his size he would be a great posession receiver/end zone target. We could use him like most teams use their tight end. If he is up to the task.

I am in complete agreeance with this. I was a huge fan of his. I wanted him to replace Manuel half way through the season. I thought he could give this team a lift. Then I hear what he did. I couldn't believe it. I can't stand the bastard!

Brockermeyer stunk his final year here and was injured. He wasn't cut, just not resigned. Colombo was not considered a reach. In fact many people liked that pick. He lacked footwork. He was big and had a mean streak. Kiper thought is was a good pick for the Bears. Roosevelt Colvin really that good? Was he really an outside linebacker? Don't you think Lance Briggs was a very good draft pick to replace him? I sure do. Dwayne Bates sucks. Saying he is slightly more productive than Dez White is just saying he sucked a little bit less than Dez White. Big whoopdeedoo! Roosevelt Williams was a bad pick. There are always what ifs. Things happen. Big Cat was awful last year and everyone in the know was glad he didn't come back. Gibson was not that bad. I think he was better than Big Cat personally. I know that will not be a good thing to say as Big Cat was a fan favorite, but he wasn't that good. Everyone thought Ted Washington was done. Angelo wasn't the only one. Hell most were shocked that he could get a 4th rounder for him. Brown is not the only one. You are forgetting Bobby Gray who looked good this year and should be a starting safety. Hopefully Columbo can come back from his injury and also be productive. The Bears 2003 draft was arguably the best in football. Too bad Dick Juron and his staff couldn't get the rookies out there sooner to see what they had. When the rookies started to play was when the Bears started to win. I havent seen much of Reed. From what I heard I like a lot. I really like to see someone play before I become a fan. I think we could really use his OBP and speed at the top of the order. If his minor league numbers translate to the majors that is.
