  1. Michael Barrett would give this Royals team a spark.
  2. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) Its hard to believe the White Sox blew a 6 run lead to the Royals. They are the most pathetic franchise in all of sports. They make the Blackhawks look good. I beg to differ. At least the Royals have won a championship in the last 40 years. I honestly believe the Blackhawks are hands down the worst franchise in sports. But that is neither here nor there.
  3. Lets hope that the cooler doesn't mock Zombrano tomorrow.
  4. QUOTE(pcullotta @ May 24, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) The great Maddux gave up six runs in six innings including a three run blast by Borchard. Boy, that fight really brought the team together Maddux also took out a cooler with a bat, from what I hear.
  5. It appears that Dempster and Ozzie have made up. Angry? No, they're radio active
  6. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 23, 2006 -> 10:47 AM) Whomever was making the managing decisions last night, they kicked a**! Good calls on the pinch hitters, great call on the squeeze. I though I heard Ozzie say in the press conference yesterday that the bunt was all Pablo on his own. Maybe I heard him wrong.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 23, 2006 -> 10:32 AM) I not arguing or debating, just throwing out what I know and what I think. I haven't found any of the responses to my posts arguing them or debating them either. Okeedokee. My bad then. I will now pummel myself with a chair.
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ May 23, 2006 -> 10:24 AM) Who the hell is arguing? Would "debating" have been a been a better word? Just seemed like a "who does Jerry like more" thing going on. Whatever.
  9. So, what is the point of this argument? It appears that Jerry is quite fond of both of them. Kenny currently has his place in the organization, and Frank will probably have his one day.
  10. Well, being that we eventually won the game, I feel alot better about Frank's homers. Still don't understand cheering for him after he hits them off OUR pitcher, but whatever. I'll continue to cheer for Frank after he leaves town. For now, I hope he goes hitless the rest of the series.
  11. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ May 22, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) paulie... four curveballs... three swinging strikes.... zero legit strikes Honestly, tonight its hard to tell what a ball or a strike is. Eddings strike zone has been all over the place.
  12. Love Frank, and was glad he got the great ovation. But enough with the cheering after homers (heard a lot after that second). You don't cheer when your pitcher is getting bombed, I don't care who is hitting the homers.
  13. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:57 PM) Exactly how I feel. Perfect. You cannot give away these f***ing wins to clubs like the god damn Cubs. This game was ours and Uribe and Cotts pretty much handed them the f***ing win. This pisses me off. I swear we better kick Oaklands ass tomorrow and I will be there. Get used to it. Games like this happen to every team, every year. Yes, it was a tough loss. But the true measure of a team is how they bounce back from tough losses. I'm certainly not happy about what transpired today, but I ain't gonna lose any sleep over it. This weekend was quite satisfying actually.
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) Cotts did his job, he forced the ground ball for the DP. Everything after that shouldn't have happened. This is on Uribe today. Shouldn't have happened, but it did. His job after the botched DP was to stop the bleeding. He didn't get it done. Yes, Uribe is #1 at fault here. But Cotts certainly didn't help the situation.
  15. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) Uribe f***ed us otherwise we wouldn't be in this situation. Even though that is the case, how could you not be concerned with the way Cotts responded. He looked like absolute s***.
  16. QUOTE(ShoeLessRob @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) If this game ends up slipping away ... I mean comon we destroyed them the first two games, I'm very pleased with a series win. I'm just looking forward to jacking some cubs ***s in the face if they try and defend their s***ty team. Just laugh at them. The Cubs performance this series was nothing to be proud of.
  17. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) It is pretty embarrassing really. We made a lot of mistakes and its about to cost us a ball game. I'll forget all about it tomorrow though when we spank Oakland. Take a good look at the records of the two teams, and you'll get a pretty good idea of embarrassment. We have nothing to be embarrased about. Like I said earlier, 1 bad inning.
  18. QUOTE(Brian @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) That is how a lot of people act here after a loss. They usually sleep it off. Lets hope so. I couldn't imagine what they'd be like if we didn't win the series.
  19. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) This is f***ing embarassing. TERRIBLE Are you guys really serious about this "embarrassing" bulls***? Holy hell, get over yourselves. Upsetting, yes. But embarrassing?
  20. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:23 PM) Not until tomorrow. For the next 24 hours, I'm avoiding all media outlets and Cub fans. They outplayed us 1 inning out of 26 thus far in the series. It was a s***ty inning, but I don't think we have anything to be embarrassed about. Either way, the game aint over yet.
  21. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) Entering the Oakland series, what we didn't need is this type of disgraceful game. Cotts is supposed to be our second best bullpen arm, and he gives up a HR to a f***ing LEFTY--Jacque JOnes--who can't hit them worth a s***! Embarrassing. Really is. I'm embarrassed for myself, and all our fans, after this. Embarrassed? Get the f*** over it.
  22. Uribe is ultimately to blame, but that doesn't excuse Cotts for totally sucking ass afterward.
  23. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 21, 2006 -> 12:38 PM) Plus it's 100 years since the 1906 WS. Celebrating a 98th year anniversary is kind of random. Not to mention that it would be a dick move on our part. Why rub it in? The banner in left center speaks for itself.
