    PC help please ...

    I haven't got the slightest idea. Try going online with Dell through tech support. Maybe they can help?
  2. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) Yeah, the Orioles posters seem to love him. Ask the schmucks if they know who he is cause I think they are nuts. If he was some god of a prospect (not saying he's not a good prospect, honestly I don't know) he wouldn't have been throwing strictly out of the pen in rookie ball. Everyone has to start somewhere, but for them to say he'll be in AA is laughable. The guy has yet to start a game in the minors. He has pitched in 16 relief games.
  3. Why the f*** is everyone raving about this Woodson character. Is there something none of us that follow the minor leagues know? Maybe this guy has some studly arm and just has been quietly talked about. I can't remember his name but when I get some time i'll look through the notes I compile during drafts and see if I wrote something about him.

    QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 11:19 PM) No, that would only be you.
  5. QUOTE(whitesox1976 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) I also question that Selig would let MLB play in Las Vegas. As was previously posted it would never take off unless it was in a domed stadium, because of the heat. Ya, just like the Dbacks needed one due to the heat.
  6. QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 12:02 PM) The O's won't take Option 1 because they have no need for an expensive, aging pitcher who is in the last year of his contract. However, they might be interested in Option 2. That said, I'd like KW to wait until June or July before he makes another move. If our guys are scoring runs, there's no need to part ways with McCarthy. I don't think the Sox would do option two. That would put payroll around 100 mill and I don't see them doing that. By the way, Alex Woodson pitched in Bristol last year. Maybe he's better than we all think. He was a 16th round selection and must have been at some junior college, because he was originally selected by the A's in 03 out of some high school in Puerto Rico. 1-0, 2.55 ERA in 16 relief apperances. I couldn't tell you one thing about his stuff and I've never heard anyone talk about him.
  7. Yes, the Pac 10 is folding like nobodies business, just as I predicted. ND may lose to OSU, but they won't get blown out and everyone who said Oregon was more deserving of a bowl game can just shove it. That said USC is a great football team and they can beat Texas. I don't know if they will, but its gonna be a hell of a game.
  8. Iowa will defeat the Illini in Iowa city pretty soon. Your undefeated season will come to an end Sure, I said the same thing last year and we got damn close, damn close.
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) Makeshift? Wiseass
  10. Pretty f***ing badass. Motivates me to get back off my ass. I wrote a story all about how trading Garland would get us prospects. I held off over Christmas to put it up and than when I was going to Garland signs an extension so now I got to rework it, lol.
  11. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 10:41 AM) Isn't he gone soon, like after the 07 season? I think he'll be here for a while.
  12. I wouldn't play him. He's banged up and no need to risk it. Of course I dont' exactly want Rex playing under a megshift line.
  13. As long as Selig is commish, MLB will never play regular season games in Vegas, imo.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) First off that TE for Michigan was a moron because he should have given the ball to Breaston. The officiating in that game was absolutely terrible. Quite possibly the worst officiating in any sporting event ever in which there was not outright cheating. Twice Michigan has to burn timeouts because the replay officials are inept. A terrible missed pass interference call on the goal line. And then apparently Nebraska is allowed to have 85 guys play defense. How there wasn't a flag on that last play is beyond me. Everyone of those officials deserves to lose their jobs over that game. Michigan also had players on the field (both teams did). I think this game did show that they need to change the replay system and allow coaches to be able to challenge. It was crap that Michigan had to lose two timeouts just to get two calls over-turned (however, that was a very good job by Lloyd Carr in calling those TO's). Aside from that I wasn't watching the game too closley, so I can't comment on the officiating (other than the way they handled replays).
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 07:16 PM) Chipotle Good stuff. I love the chicken tacos or burritos and on the ocassions I splurge for guac and chips (the guac rocks). I had steak, sweet potato and salad. It was yummy
  16. Talk about a rough bday Josh. Aside from the Michigan game, I hope it was a good one. You were only 20 yards away from a miraculous final play comeback though.
  17. Wow, great Alamo Bowl. Michigan loses at the end and it almost looked like Michigan was going to come up with a miracle of a play to win the game. 3/4ths of Nebraska stopped thinking the game was over and Michigan kept lattering and moving the ball and finally broke things open and both teams had most of there benches on the field as they were doing it. Lucky for Nebraska two guys at the back of the play continued to play it out and made the tackle. Had they not done that, it would have been something talked about for years and years to come.
  18. QUOTE(Felix @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) afaik, Sweeney doesn't play CF, and Owens is pretty bad defensively. Not completely sure about this, but if im right, Rowand wouldn't be a bad addition at all as a fourth OF, or even a starter depending on how Anderson adjusts to the majors. I never said anything about Sweeney playing CF. He can play RF or LF. I just said he needs to show something in the minors before he lives up to all the hype he got a couple years back. I think we'll see a big time year out of Ryan though, especialy if he can stay healthy.
  19. QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 07:20 AM) Jon Garland for Brandon Wood, straight up. Would you take it? Jon Garland and Joe Crede for Brandon Wood and Kendry Morales. Would you take it? [edit] FYI- The Angels reportedly offered the Royals Brandon Wood AND Casey Kotchman for Mike Sweeney. Allard Baird, not knowing his head from his ass, reportedly turned the Angels down. I smell BS. The Angels have always said they won't deal Brandon Wood and they sure as s*** wouldn't do it for Sweeney. No GM would be stupid enough to turn that deal down either, but I guarantee you the Angels didn't make that trade. Stoneman doesn't give up his untouchables and Brandon Wood is as untouchable as it gets.
  20. Damn it. Had I known it was coming out that early I wouldn't have sold my Xbox. I've just been playing my old Super Nintendo lately. Dug out Big Hurt Baseball the other day.
  21. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) The same goes for Vazquez. The idea of moving an arm at that cost to the pen is ridiculous. He's definitely going to be in the rotation for the White Sox. Now I'm happy. We have a pitcher we can move any time (Vazquez or Contreras) to better ourselves in another area. I really have no problem with Bmac pitching out of the pen as long as our plan is to eventually slide him into the rotation. Plus, considering the workload our guys took, its inevitable that someone goes down (hopefully no one does and if they do it won't be for an extended period of time) but if it happens we have Bmac ready to jump on in.
  22. Dude...I moved yesterday and this is the first thing I see on Soxtalk when I set up my wireless network this morning. AMAZING. I'm so giddy. Great signing by both parties. I'm really glad to have Big Jon back on the southside for a couple more years. Of course, if he doesn't pitch like he did this past season (I think he will) than I think you'll see him dealt since his contract escalates. However, its really nice to have him back. I have the upmost faith in him and I think we'll see him put up very similar numbers to last year.
  23. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) Garland re signed, 3 years 29 mil. This is f***ING AMAZING
