QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 12:04 PM) What are the official rules there? The announcer was saying Manning's feet were outside the goal line when he was tackled. It's not where the ball is? It is where the ball is.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:56 AM) Colts cant seem to stop the Steelers ground attack. This could be huge cause if the Steelers can start dominating on the ground, they can keep their defense fresh while keeping the Colts off the field. Ben just took a shot though.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:47 AM) lol yeah congrats. Sorry I announced it when you guys could've but I just looked and saw we were getting close. Are you kidding me. I'm glad you pointed it out. I never notice stuff like this. Hence the fact I've had some strange things in my member title area before (you can also thank, Heads, Greasy and Boz for that). I get a kick out of the name though, but Heads and all of you guys deserve the credit.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:43 AM) The Colts wouldn't have had enough time to do anything with the ball. The Steelers had a 1st down with under a minute left. The Colts also get the ball to start the second half. You can't play that conservatively against the best offense in the NFL. Whoa. I'm talking about they strated the drive conservative running the ball. There was like 1:20 and there would have been plenty of time. Had Pitt just thrown the ball they could have went 3 and out with maybe one pass completed. That means Indy would have 2 Timeouts and probably a minute left. And thats plenty of time for Indy. Thats why I have no problem with what Cowher did. Your going to the locker room with the momentum knowing your up on the Steelers. You don't want to ruin that, imo. However, he'd be a genius had they drove down and scored more, but I guarantee you had they went 3 and out and the colts got the ball back and scored, people would be pointing the blame at him yet again. We'll see what they do in the 2nd half ,cause I think they need to be agressive, but at the same time they need to do what they can to keep their offense out on the field and the Colts off it.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 10:48 AM) That should go down as the worst game of Tyson's career when all is said and done. I tend not to look at current results and just stick with my assessment of his tools and what he could accomplish in the future. But there's no doubt that Chandler backers aren't too happy right now. I'm not going to abandon him, but I should probably stop defending him for the time being. I was at a bar last night, and some dude was talking all kinds of s*** about Tyson. Of course, I kept my mouth shut, and I should probably do likewise on here. I don't want to be the only guy in Chicago defending Tyson, basically. I need some dudes on my side, but as Hawk would say, they gone. Here's the thing. At some point or another, production is what matters. Its the end result. Talent only takes you to a certain point. Hell, as much as I slam Ben Gordon, he hasn't been bad as a starter and for the most part seems to be more agressive going to the basket (about the only guy on the team willing to consistently drive). He did not have a strong 2nd half though, but he's made some big time strides compared to when I was really slamming him earlier in the year. Would love Paul Pierce though...but I'm sure thats not going to happen.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) If the Steelers end up losing by a field goal or TD, Cowher will be ripped for that ball-less end of the first half. I agreed with the call. You have the lead and played a good 1st half. They go for it agressively and the Colts probably get the ball back and have a shot to make it even closer. On a sidenote, that was a smart ass penalty for the Colts cause if they didn't have that holding call on Randle El, they may have been down 21-3 going into the half.

QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 10:43 AM) With their offense, yes. Seriously...everyone knows the Bears can't come from behind. The same can't be said for the Colts. They finally had an offense that looked like the Colts offense at the end of the half. Still tons of time left in this game.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 09:52 AM) Indeedy. It's kinda weird, cause I now have to root for two Iowa guys every weekend in Clark and Sanders. And I love them both now. Thats what I like to hear. Didn't someone on ISU yesterday fumble in one of the games or something? I think it was maybe the guy who returned the kick for the Patriots at the end of the 1st half.

I expected more out of this, especially coming off of a World Series win. ROFL....I know that was you who updated the thread. Hopefully the addition makes this a wortwhile Soxfest for ya

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 04:29 AM) Neither do I, but then again the Angels do overrate Erstad's abilities. I suppose they want to stick with Carrasco as the 5th starter perhaps? Which is a brainless move. I'm gonna make sure I stay away from the park when he's pitching.

Was that the guy who went to spring training a few times with the Cubs? On a sidenote, I'll stick with Gloadie.

Is Buehrle hurt?
I'm sure he was sore. He just pitched in back to back games. Sore doesn't equate to hurt when it comes to pitchers. They normally are quite sore after a start. Its if that soreness prolongs where you have issues.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 09:43 AM) I don't think people have the Colts on that pedestal you're thinking of. A lot of people have doubts, since they haven't played a meanable game in a month. The Steelers have been in playoff-mode since the Week 12 or so. The spread's at 9.5. I've been saying the Colts beat the spread, or they lose. Greasy, I just want to say thanks. I now know someone else can ocassionally create words like meanable. Your my hero I really just wanted to see what it felt like to correct someone else for a change
