I have a lot of Sox hats that I buy and rarely wear. I always go back to my fall back hats, old school Sox hat, my Bears hat, and my Barons hat.

Was that the first episode? I've been meaning to catch it. Plus you have the Shield (I think its finale is this week??) and than Rescue Me starts back up.

QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) B.J.'s biggest problem is trusting his stuff he thinks he has to throw his Fastball even harder put more bite on his curve when he does not need to. When he goes and "just pitches" he can strike out the best hitters in the league. Great stuff if he just starts to trust it. Hope that helps Thanks, I always enjoy reading your little tidbits. Its just great stuff, I truly appreciate it

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) I guess we can say so much for that garbage about his physical being the best KW has ever seen? That, or KW doesn't know any healthy people. I think we all know that was spin. It had to be. On 2nd thought, enough negativity from me for one night. I'm an optimist/realist and frankly I'm in such a good mood over the whole series. Seeing two wins while in Chicago and than getting home to see come back and beat the Dodgers. Plus Bmac will be in the rotation, WOOT

QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) Yeah and he made a hell of a throw, it had no importance, but the play at 2nd was a closer than it should have been on a tough play. Bogu played a ball off the wall, turned, and fired a strike. I've seen quite a few good plays thus far. Tenn got knocked out and Tulane is looking really good, imo. I'm gonna have to record the finals since I'll be doing training for work.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Did I call it or did I call it? I think your gonna be right with Diz piggybacking with Broadway as well.

QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) He has been pretty bad. I was at his game on Tuesday when he got shelled. He was alright through the first couple of innings, then he just seemed to fall apart. I don't know if it was that injury he has or just him blowing it, but he didn't seem normal. Well I think he's been awful all season, minus one start. He's been insanely lucky, his WHIP has to be amongst the leagues worse (in terms of guys with the amount of starts he's made). You can't keep getting away with that. He's given up way more hits than IP and on top of that has given up a lot of BB's.

Just do it like it was this series. Frank DH's 2 out of 3 while Everett will spell one of the OF's for one game in each series. Play for pods for one game in one series, than play for Dye in another and in another series for Rowand (With Pods in cf). That way your getting Pods/Rowand/Dye starts in pretty much 8 of 9 games, while Everett and Thomas start 2/3 games. Obviously its not quite that easy, but I think its at least the formation to a plan and you mix in who you go with based on certain matchups. As a whole I think it keeps everyone fresh as well as happy (well everyone but Timo).

QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) Who's spot would you want him to take when El Duque comes back. Shingo and Viz have been doing well lately. The only way i see Brandon staying up here is if we trade a reliever. Who says Duque comes back. I'll worry about that when it happens. I'm the wrong guy to talk to about Duque, I think he's been insanely lucky and hasn't deserved to be in the rotation the past few starts (I hope I'm wrong and he comes back and kicks butt though). I just have zero faith in him.

Hey Bham...I was looking at Lamura's stats and they are filthy. I guess this question is for both of you, but what do you guys think of him. I've seen him pitch but he never looked like the guy that could put up these numbers (always had the arm though). Always seemed to struggle with his command. Has that been the big difference this year and you guys think he's got a shot? Is his curve/slider looking like a plus pitch and has he gotten more consistent with it?
-
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) I'm assuming knucklecurve. I believe that is the only curve he throws?? Ya. His knuckle curve is a true 12/6 pitch with a lot of downward action. Personally I'm just glad the velocity is up. I am hoping his command will be the next thing to show and he should start gaining confidence. I am starting to think he's at least on the path back, although he's got a long way to go and is still a non prospect in my book.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) I just did some quick research and calculations. Based on Southsiders posts for that week, a modest 40 wpm typing skill, 6 hours of sleep per night, communting to work, etc. it left exactly 3 minutes and 12 seconds for sex was it good for her too? remember I kid because I care And that would mean he had approximately 3 minutes to smoke a cigarette

Slave Labor. Pretty much everyone alive during that time and around them was essentially forced. Or at least thats my theory. Although Aliens would be way cooler.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) Hey Jason, where'd you get such a good copy of this? I downloaded it off limewire. Although I googled it too and saw WSI had a cool page with other songs which I've been listening too. WSI also has a really good copy of the song (I'm assuming its the exact same copy as the one I downloaded off of limewire). Here's the link to that WSI Page

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:31 PM) Great sweep for the Sox. When you play crappy teams like the Dodgers, the Sox have to win the series at minimum and do everything possible to actually sweep One note though - keep in mind that the winnign run was actually a lucky run since Pods looked out at 1B.....no biggie just a note. In a bang-bang play, who knows whether he was really out or not ONe more note - the ESPN announcers were certainly giving a lot of praise to the White SOx. I loved it Ya, Joe Morgan was really complimenting them. Hell, I was looking at my dad going when are they going to talk about the Dodgers.

I must be the only one who says good riddance. I expected nothing out of Duque when they signed him and as far as I'm concerned he's done more than I ever thought he would (he is well over .500) and now Bmac's gonna come in and kick some butt. If Duque gets healthy later on fine, thats a good problem to have.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) Haha that song is pimp. Bring that back. I'm planning on sending Brooks an email (as if he hasn't heard from enough people already, lol).

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) Jas, you said somethings just weren't right with Brandon when he got back down to Charlotte, could you elaborate?? Can't comment on that, but to say the least Brandon didn't enjoy Charlotte and that ballpark.

QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) I definately think that they should use it during the games. It seemed like our whole section was doing the go go chant during the 8th and 9th inning. It was awesome. Boz didn't like it at first, but I think he was getting into it later in the game. I was going nuts when they were playing late in the game. Its just so darn catchy. Plus it brings back some history to the club. I just think it would be awesome to make it a mainstay at the park.

For those that don't know what I'm talking about: Go Go Go White Sox
-
I've said it for a while, but Bmac is gonna take over the spot in the rotation and he's not going back to the minors.
-
I'm assuming this was the song they used to play back in the olden days for the Sox. Anyway, I don't know what the rest of you at the series thought but I freaking love the song. Personally I think they should make it a part of the game, use it late in games as a semi rally builder. I'm probably crazy with this, but I grew up listening to the Dodgers game and they always start of the radiocast with Its a beautiful day for a ball game (The Song) and for my dad and even me (I'm not even a Dodger fan) hearing that song pumps me up (especially when it signals the start of the season). The Sox should so start using this more. End of randomass rant

Looks like its more likely he's going on Monday now.
