QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 11, 2005 -> 10:23 AM) Double Dribble and Blades of Steel are two of the greatest sports games ever! I still play Tennis on Game Boy... MARIO-KART 64 is my all-time favorite. We'd put away madden, ncaa, nbka2k, halo, and the rest and break out the N64 to play first-to-25 Battle wins in 4-player when I was living with some friends in college...World Series 2K1 is another game that got a lot of play in the apt... Any Legend of Zelda is good too...and almost all the NES games are great... I've been playing tons of Mario Cart lately...both the original and 64. Freaknig outstanding games..from battling to doing the actual circuit. f***ing Rainbow road

QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ May 10, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) got the thread idea from SoxNBears01 My favorite video game from way back has to be NBA Jam for SNES. 2nd: Ken Griffey presents MLB Baseball-N64 3rd: Pilot Wings-SNES Alright PilotWings was very badass. However, I'm going for NES...CONTRA I also liked SNK baseball for Nintendo. I remember I'd be the all girl team and whoop up on my friends.

That sounds really cool. Of course I don't want to see Buehrle or someone going 7 innings a few times during this tourney as opposed to him getting his normal work in spring training.

Flat out impressive Dan

QUOTE(danman31 @ May 10, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) You'll get better once you get a feel for it. I remember that and dasox24 went through that last year. Just don't rely on Jason to edit your papers all the time, he's bad with grammar and rather untimely. Ya, once you get a hang of it I can set it up where you can put them straight up. Farm, you had one thing pretty much perfect and that was grammar. I did everything I could to flat out stay away from it. Really it was a nice job, especially for a first piece. Looking forward to more

Did you guys read the writeup. Saying how the Sox are desperate for lefties. Did they get the freaking memo...Sox drafted Lummy, Gio, Whisler, and Liotta last year.
-
This is laughable. If the Blue Jays take Ricky Romera 6th overall I'll be in shock. I'm a Fullerton fan and all, but no way does he deserve to go near that high.
-
Personally I think thats a reach for the Sox, imo.

Sweet stuff Jim...you the man
-
Well some of the stuff this article said is different then what I had read it would have. Cause from the prior readings it sounds like they were going to be getting rid of some of the things that made this xbox great. Also the new PS3 is supposed to be BlueRay/HDDVD. THey won't price it anymore than the original Xbox and PS2 did when they came out.

Very well written....and I agree.

2005 Winston Salem Update By Trevor Seymour (FarmTeam) May 10, 2005 FutureSox.com The Winston Salem Warthogs are currently 16-15, putting them 2.5 games behind Southern Division leader Kinston. The Hogs are led by manager Chris Cron, pitching coach Andy Tomberlin, and hitting coach Sean Snedeker. The Warthogs don’t have any of FutureSox’s Top 10 prospects on the roster, a stark difference from last years club which had the entire Top 5 at one point or another (Brandon McCarthy, Brian Anderson, Ryan Sweeney, Josh Fields, Sean Tracey). However, they what looks to be a good pitching staff and have thus far got surprisingly good protection out of Chris Amador and sport one of the better infields in the Carolina league...MORE Welcome Aboard Trevor!!!!

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 9, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) We traded him in late January of 2002. I am almost 100% sure of this. Unless that is what you are trying to say. They traded him during the offseason for Willie Harris. I remember cause I was in Vegas at a conference when it happened. I was sad because Singleton was one of my favs. It wasn't a bad move by the Sox though.

Best of all I'm pretty sure the new DVD players will be backwards compatible so people won't have to replace all there old DVD's. They better be damn it.
-
For some reason I remember that movie being sad or having some sad parts and I never get sad during a movie...especially a Keanu Reeves movie

I always liked Chris too. Man did he have a hell of a rookie year. Hit for the cycle with the Sox during his career as well. Plus he played an awesome center field. Its too bad his offense went downhill after his rookie year. I wonder if DJ said anything about him. I remember the two bonded in 99 (Chris' rookie year and I think it was DJs final season).

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 9, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) Is this BlueRay? BluRay and HDDVD have basically merged formats. It was just a matter of time until it happened and it finally did. Otherwise there would of been some major compatability issues. IT should be pretty badass and I guess its getting closer to being a reality.

ATO: BMAC Wins POTW By Jason Gage May 9, 2005 FutureSox.com Brandon McCarthy's first dominate start of the season earned him International League Player of the Week honors for Charlotte. Brandon went 8 shutout innings, giving up 5 hits while striking out 10 (2 walks). It was Brandon's 3rd straight win and was the only start he made all week...MORE

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 9, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) I can't call us bandits yet when we supposedly insisted on dealing Reed instead of Borchard. Sitll happy with what we got though, we just didn't fleece them. It was going to be Reed all along supposedly. The big question was whether it would be Crede or Olivo.

For the Tigers its a good thing its not his hip. Thats supposed to be really bad. They thought it was career threatening a year or two ago.
