My guess is he'll be back on the DL and they'll be a little more careful with it this time. Get well soon Bull

Thankfully I refuse to watch that crap.

Willie was placed on the bereavement list and I was wrong. Uribe/Ozuna may be good to go today. Story on FS updated, also has updates on some minor league moves.
-
Just created a thread about it and have sent an email to the media guy to see who it is. As of now the Sox have yet to make the name public. The theory is one of Ozuna/Uribe is going to be placed on the DL.

Ya, plus Van Gundy isn't backing down one bit from this.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2005 -> 06:52 AM) The thing is Larry Brown goes half a step short of saying this every night, and nothing ever happens to him. This punishment is a joke. Agreed...its what head coaches do. They try to make the refs look closer at different things. But did you all see the calls in that game...its up there with some of the horses*** I've seen called in the first couple games of the Bulls-Wiz series.

JR is a tremendous basketball owner and honestly he isn't near as bad as some say in regards to baseball.

Konerko contract year....want him back?
Chisoxfn replied to Hideaway Lights's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ May 2, 2005 -> 07:43 PM) Hey guys, I'm new...just stumbled onto this place today....seems like a really cool forum. Been looking for a place like this for a longtime online. Glad it exists. anyway, as my first post I want to know whether you would want Konerko back if he hits something like just .250 but has the power numbers (40+ home runs)....is this enough offense from your first baseman? Also, is his value after this season going to be overrated or underrated with a season like that? Depends on the contract he wants, but personally I'm more of a fan of average and if Paulie only hits .250 I will not consider it a worthwhile investment (assuming he gets 10 mill plus). However if Paulie puts up similar numbers to last year, I think it would be quite wise to bring him back, especially since he's becoming one of the teams most popular players and a very marketable one at that. Welcome Aboard -
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 3, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) I'd go one step further and say they should take the TV feed from Comcast and play it with Spanish broadcasters on a Spanish station. Maybe only a few games at first to test the response, then go from there. Set it up where you can use the SAP button the TV. All they would have to do is tie in the feed from the spanish station.

QUOTE(longshot7 @ May 3, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) They should broadcast all the games in Spanish. Chicago has what - the 2nd highest Spanish-speaking population behind LA? Definitely an untapped market. Agreed, Fernando has been doing Dodger games for a few years. Of course the new ownership really screwed Fernando and treats him like crap. But its about time the Sox did this. Nice job Brooks

Badass Job Ian...peronally I'm using the 2nd one, I just don't want to see Bruce's face, LOL.

SNR is a live radio station put together by a few Sox fans that talk about the game. Its not for the faint of heart though. There is swearing and other stuff going on, but they are diehard Sox fans talking about the Sox while the game is on. On a sidenote, Welcome Aboard

I'm assuming this info is all on the White Sox website, but this is just a reference for those that want access to it. Plus you need to remember you can only use the codes if you are eligible.

SNR will be on the air tonight @ 6:30 central time. For High Speed Users For Dial Up Users Check em Out and Remember, SNR contains Adult Content and is NOT for KIDS

Come on Bulls...for pete sake Box out and hopefully this game isn't called as tick tack.

Why, they haven't tested positive, plus it happens with age. Hoffman used to throw quite a bit harder, but to me Foulke never did. I understand wear and tear, but if your healthy and lose 5-6 MPH off your fastball all of a sudden, I'd say there are good odds its roids. However I'm not one to point fingers..I'd rather let positive tests be the proof.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 2, 2005 -> 05:47 AM) Brandon McCarthy and Brian Anderson, minimum. And personally speaking, considering Duque isn't necessarily going to hold up...I would tell them go to hell. With all the good prospects the Sox have its going to be harder to not give up top notch talent.
-
QUOTE(soxfan420 @ May 2, 2005 -> 12:08 AM) i would have to say a closer? as it is our only real weakness besides injurys I'd tend to say a bat. Problem is I dont know if it would be financially applicable. But if Dye continues to suck and Anderson comes up and struggles and Thomas stays hurt, then you could definately see them add a bat. Otherwise I don't see any holes at this point (I do agree w/closer though...potentially at least). Injuries to the rotation or other areas could change the needs though.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 2, 2005 -> 01:32 PM) Yeah I think that the perception is that steroids cut your muscles but they can add strenght in a non-weight lifting way. I do think it is interesting to hear about how many relievers have had their velocity drop this year Ya, it makes no difference. I'd bet at most 1% of starting pitchers in this league use it, but relievers could greatly benefit from it. Hell just watch more relievers then hitters get busted or something along those lines.
