  1. Gordon dosn't deserve more shots until he stops turning the ball over and plays better defense. However, I will give him credit, his defense has improved a lot the past 2 weeks.
  2. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) Hinrich shot selection is not the problem. It is the fact that he misses wide open f***ing threes all the time. He usually does not just hoist shots from 15 and farther up. Have you ever seen crawford play? I am seriously asking you because the shot selection is not comparable. So many knicks fans wanted him out of there even before they got him. Plus I think Crawford did take like 50 shots a game when he was with the Bulls
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) yes Hinrich hustles but i still dont see how that makes it ok for his poor shot selection. So your saying if Crawford hustled more and shot it 50 times making only 10 it would be ok because he hustled? I don't see where you think Hinrich has poor shot selection. He's probably the most unselfish guy on the team. Yes his shooting % is lower then you like but thats because when Gordon's not on the court he's forced to put up the bad shots when time is running out.
  4. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) Paul's numbers are actually solid this year considering how much time he played, only 26 mpg. Shelden Williams played almost 8 more minutes a game. If you add the extra 8 minutes of production to Davis, his numbers would be. 15.4 ppg, 9.94 rpg. Which is very solid in his own right. Does Shelden own him whenever they play? Yes. But that just happens, Sean May always plays very well against Shelden for some reason, Shelden owns Luke Schenser, and Luke does very well against Sean. You never know who is going to play well against another player, for whatever reason. If Duke is going to beat Michigan State, Redick will have to have a big game because MSU is notorious for crashing the boards very well. Shav and Shelden have a tendency to pick up quick fouls also, they have to stay away from that. MSU has to find someone to contain Redick for 20-25 points, and force others to step up. MSU didn't crash the boards in the Iowa game and thats the big reason the Hawkeyes beat them in the big ten tourney. Still I like Izzo's coaching, but in the end Duke is going to pull it out.
  5. Oh no, I was just agreeing with you and then going on a tangent. We all know that Hinrich is my favorite player on the Bulls too. I love him, Chandler, Noc, and Deng. They all put in 100% effort. Gordon is fun to watch but not one of my favs. If you notice all the guys I like flat out play defense.
  6. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) Crawford is better offensively...? Please explain why. The defense is also not comparable even though crawford is not that bad of defender. Who is the better passer and floor leader out of the two? Good lord, two players I never ever thought would be compared...Hinrich and Crawford. Crawford = ROYAL PIECE OF s***. If you were going to compare two players it would be Crawford and Curry because both are scorers and nothing more. Curry is a superior scorer though, imo, plus he's a center which is a premium.
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) That's because Hinrich busts his f***ing ass every night, Eddy Curry couldnt hold that claim for a week. Even when Hinrich shoots like s***, he's an asset to the club because of his defense. He's one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and is a very smart passer. Hinrich is the shiznit. Curry when not scoring doesn't offer much at this point. The key will be for him to just slowly get better. However, he is the lone low post scorer at this point. I don't know how much he'll get, but I do think Atlanta would be interested and Harrington would definately make some sense. I also think Paxson would like a pick somehow as a role player. I could see him drafting a big man at one point or another.
  8. Eddy returns as well. With 9 points in the 1st quarter. This is a healthy bulls club. THey have some nagging injuries but hopefully they'll get nearer to 100% and like spiff said in some thread, no team is 100% at this point in the NBA season. You just got to play through it.
  9. Well think of it this way. If Buehrle goes down for the long haul its definately Buehrle. In the case that Buehrle may miss 1 or 2 starts, I'd go with Frank because his bat when 100% and coming off a completely healthy offseason is an MVP caliber bat. However, if Buehrle is out a while the Sox lose there best pitcher and while I love Bmac, now have him and then the other questionable guys. With Thomas down, something the Sox have known about the entire offseason, they still have Gload and Everett, two very capable performers.
  10. Happy Birthday Baj. Hopefully you get in a little more action with the big leaguers near the end of spring and then can begin doing what you did last year, getting out AAA'ers in an attempt to work your way back up to the majors. Baj is definately a class act and I'm glad he's a part of the Sox organization Have a good one
  11. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) Contusion = deep bone bruise. They vary in extermity of course, seeing as my wrist contusion made me unable to lift anything for two months. But seeing as how I am frail like the elderly, Rowand should be fine.
  12. QUOTE(thelatinoheat_30 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) just saw on comcast that rowand was in a single A game today(to work on a hip flexor injury) and got hit by a pitch on the shoulder. he now has a contussion, dunno what that means and that's all they said on it. Contussion is basically a bruise. Hopefully everything is alright with Arow cause he's gonna be an integral part of this team.

Holy f*** its working for ya RPS..aka Maury. I don't know what I did, probably nothing, but I guess its all set now. Just tell me if you want me to change your old posts or if it doesn't matter. Good to have ya back and its gonna be even better hearing ya guys again...And its a must to have Critic on for his impressions. I remember they were f***ing HILLARIOUS.
  14. I'm not cursing my bracket anymore. Anytime I say I'm in good shape another one of my teams goes down so I'm shutting up. But hopefully I beat you all.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) who is in that film? Bruce Willis. I saw it the other day. Cheesy ass plot, but it wasn't a bad movie. Would recommend renting it as opposed to paying to see it at the theatres.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) I watched The Punisher, 21 Grams and Spring Break Shark Attack this weekend. I didn't mind the Punisher. The acting was lazy and completely boring but the action scenes were very good and fairly entertaining. The fight against "The Russian"(played by wrestler Kevin Nash of all people) was awesome. The last scene on the bridge was very good and I wouldn't mind seeing the sequel which is apparently going to be made. 6/10 21 Grams as I expected was a fantastic non linear tale with fabulous acting from all involved. A 100% must-see. Alejandro González Iñárritu's second film is no less a masterpiece than Amores Perros, but I liked Amorre Perros more. 9/10 Spring Break Shark Attack was obviously bad but nonetheless satisfied me with decent shark effects, hot chicas, and alcohol consumption. 5/10 At least I wasn't the only pathetic person to watch Spring Break Shark Attack. Nothing else was on tv and I was exhausted from a busy day. God did it blow, but your right, there were some hot chicks on it.
  17. I need to get Caple out to Fullerton to watch tomorrows NIT game. I could show him so really fine girls Of course I'd have to use my celebrity status....err owner of Soxtalk Seriously though, thats real cool Krush. Sounds like a total blast. I wish my school had the atmosphere you guys have for college basketball.
  18. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 18, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) Shuf works for the Sox now... Posting on a fan message board is frowned upon. You probably won't see him post here ever again. Ya, I think for the most part he just browses now.
  19. Depending on what really went down between QC and Bill Parcells I'd much rather see Carter on the Bears then any of the other backup candidates. Quincy has won, is a good athlete, and would be more then a viable option off the bench. Assuming that his situation in Dallas was overblown. Funny thing is I thought Herm Edwards liked him and instead they let him go and opted for someone else.
  20. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 19, 2005 -> 12:56 PM) Steroids would make sense. The guy is a 5th OFer for quite a few years of his career, and he becomes a very solid player just like that at around the age of 30? Got injured in 2002 early in the year, as a starter for Arizona...though I can't remember exactly what his injury was...and he is now guaranteed $1.9 mill by the DRays, yet retires? Put 2 and 2 together. But Bautista had long been talked about when he was with both Florida and Arizona. It always seemed to be health that got in his way because both teams were high on him at different points of his tenure. I don't even remember which expansion team drafted him in the expansion draft, but it was one of them and I know he's been on both teams.
  21. Bahaha. Sam Smith keeps getting dumber. First off, Skiles was Paxsons guy. No one else was even considering him for any NBA jobs and then Pax came a calling. Secondly, the Bulls aren't gonna get rid of Skiles. Him and Pax mesh, there ideas of where this team is and where it should go are pretty much one and one. Thats a positive relationship and its going nowhere anytime soon, imo. Lastly, no one is dealing a draft pick for a coach. This isn't Bill Parcels were talking about.
  22. On a sidenote, I can't think of more good teams firing coaches or having coaches resign mid season then any previous year in the NBA. Its been ridiculous in a sense.
  23. I was in definite shock. Gooden is having a career year and Lebron has turned into a total stud with Silas around (he would of anyway though) but still I dont' think the Cavs could be any more pleased with James progression. Silas has a s***ty team and they are playoff bound, despite the recent skid. Fact is there is Lebron, Gooden, and Ilk followed with some bums. They aren't that talented of a team and the Cavs are dumping a good coach. I guess the rumor is that they'll grab the former Twolves coach Flip Saunders, but they'll probably have an interim guy the remainder of the year. Stupid decision, if your going to fire him wait till the end of the year considering they are a playoff bound team (most likely at least).
  24. f***...first thing I thought was if this was April fools day. SOB, this is a big loss. Best to a speedy recovery Mark. And I guess Bmac is gonna break camp with the Sox afterall.
  25. Nah...I hated Jose Valentin and my guess is they just replaced him with another Jose that I'll dislike (ie Contreras). But I hope to hell I'm wrong. Its just it doesn't seem to me that he's figured out how to pitch in the majors. The stuff is there, but that isn't everything.
