  1. Ya, Clemson played hard but UNC finally played like the team they are the final few minutes. Good god did Felton play huge. When he hit that three from deep the game was over. And McCants had two huge 3's down the stretch. Big win for UNC cause McCants can get some more action before the dance. I just wonder how his legs will hold up since he has dropped like 10 pounds.
  2. Will do, if not for the simple reason frats are useless
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) Wow, down 14 to a 7 point win in about 15 minutes. Carolina is the one team that I can see matching up really well with Illinois. Problem is we will see if they can keep their heads in these games to get that far in the tourney. I think Sean May will be the difference when the two teams meet. I really think that is gonna be the national title matchup.
  4. Who would of figured they would come back the way they were playing. There was one difference in the end and that was that UNC started playing some defense and was forcing turnovers left and right which led to transistion baskets (what UNC does best). IU-Minn now started, locked up at 9. Its gonna be a good one. I picked a good day to take off work
  5. Did you guys see the preview last night? I just watched the OC this morning and saw the preview. Holy s*** is it gonna be badass.
  6. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 10:54 AM) i still dont see how they could possibly reach over Minn with a 10-6 big ten record for Iowa with a 7-9 BT record Only one reason...Iowa has more big wins then any of them. They also have more bad losses and the poor conference record, but I don't think the committee would look past the fact that Iowa has beaten quite a few tourney bound teams and a win over MSU would further that resume.
  7. Ya, I was watching the Illini game for the most part and they just hammered NU but good god is Clemson clobbering UNC. I haven't seen them do anything good all game pretty much (well i've only been watching the 2nd half).
  8. Clemson is gonna win. UNC is playing god awful defense and defense is what wins championships. Clemson is playing there collective asses of. On a sidenote, I would think this would help Maryland.
  9. All I can say is what a game Clemson is playing. They are beating the piss out of UNC in every facet of the game. Right now everytime the ball goes down to May the entire defense collapses and he's getting triple teamed and they are failing to kick the ball out and even when they do UNC is missing the shots. They are gonna lose this one. I keep waiting to see UNC kick it up a notch but they are playing absolute GARBAGE defense and offensively they haven't gotten a quick transistion basket in a while. Bout 7 minutes to play and Clemson is up by double digits.
  10. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) How is said WSI poster mistaken if he got it directly from Brian's mouth? Brian could be mistaken, sure. However, being borderline ready for MLB now, I doubt he is wrong. Well I should of said it a little better. I think Anderson may be mistaken. Now odds are he goes to Charlotte, although if I were in charge he'd be getting more AB's in AA because he still has some flaws to work on and didn't do as good as I'd like to see him do in Bham to warrant a promotion. Although part of that definately had to do with some injuries that hampered him late last year. But players don't know at this point, they can soley speculate. In his case maybe he was told but I think thats simply where he feels he will be and your right he'll probably be there, but I wouldn't be one to complain if he got two months in Bham. He's not going to play in the majors this year unless something really bad happens on the southside (well he may be a sept call-up, but thats it, imo).
  11. Has Sickels gone mad? Saying that Rogo is a power guy? Rogo is a hitter, but last season was the first year he showed much any power and still he projects as a 15-20 guy at this point although he's strong enough that those projections could change, but he's done nothing at this point to show that he'll be a 30 HR type guy. Sickels is definately right in in regards to Whisler. He's gonna be a project and I think he's saying something similar to I in Anderson. I Think Anderson will be good, great...no. Mainly I think the Sox are nuts because they are rushing him. He didn't blow up AA and some more seasoning will do him some good, especially since he won't be playing as a starter in the majors this year unless some really bad things happen on the southside.
  12. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) There is absolutely no way the Bears should trade the 4 for Edge. At 4 you have a chance to draft 1 of 3 backs who have much better health than Edge. RB's wear down over time, some draft people talk about how Benson already has 2-3 more seasons than Brown. Well Edge has far more seasons than any of them. I would consider trading our 2 and RW for Edge and Colts 3 or 4, at worst the 2 and RW. But the facts are we are doing the Colts a favor, this is a salary dump and they are not going to get close to a fair deal. Personally Id rather have Brown, Cadillac, and Benson than Edge, but if we get to keep our 1 than we can draft BPA, (probably Rolle or Johnson depending on the starter traded). SB I totally agree. No way would I give up the 4th overall selection for Edg. The only way I'd even consider it is if the Bears got the colts 1st, 2nd, and 3rd plus Edg. That 4th pick is so valuable. On a sidenote, Bears met with Mike Williams agent today. Probably just a prelim thing, but I think with his most recent workout him and Braylon are quite similar stock wise and the Bears will have a chance to draft one of them if they want it.
  13. However, I should point out were all gonna have a debate on this. Because there is gonna be some sort of mandatory innings pitched so relievers aren't the only thing people use. I was just waiting to see what everyone thought the inning total should be.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) Couldn't he be on the 60 day DL without taking a 40 roster spot? Yep, kind of like the Sox did with Escobar.
  15. Sox seem to like going after these type of guys. OF course with him out all season they'll have some time, but I could definately see them putting in a claim. But so will a lot of other teams, or that would be my guess.
  16. Ozuna has talent guys, I wouldn't doubt that. However, no reason to get rid of Crede. Plus he's hitting good of late. Of course I can't make any of my usual bold predictions during ST since I won't be going till the very last week So for the next few weeks I should just move out to Chicago, LOL.
  17. f***ing Bulls***. The Iowa-MSU game isn't televised, instead the UAB game is. Hores*** I tell you.
  18. Well today the ESPN people are talking and they are saying no way Indiana gets in without a win today against Minnesota. On the other hand they think there is a shot Minn gets in. A couple of them even said if IU wins and Iowa wins the big 10 could actually get 6 teams. I think the only reason something like this would happen is because a lot of other bubble teams have tanked it already. I love the big ten so I would love to see it happen. Also, St. Mary's better be getting an at-large bid.
  19. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 09:28 AM) How's Northwestern doing? I'm at school, unfortunately... Can someone give a quick update, within the next five-ten minutes? Its about a 8 point game by the Illini. That was about 5 minutes ago, which was when I last looked.
  20. Alexander is now on the block for reportedly less than a 1st round pick. If given the choice i'd take Alexander over Edgerin due to Alexander being the healthier of the two.
  21. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 06:46 AM) The Bears Oline is gonna be very solid next year. Tait-Brown-Kruetz-Q-Miller As long as his contract isn't murderous on the cap, get er done JA. Having a good RB would help the oline as well because they'd be bulldozing the opponents and with a good RB teams wouldn't be blitzing the QB near as much. I'd be a fan of this move, but salary wise, it would be tough to fit him in. Also, I'd think our 2nd would be enough to get it done. Then obviously I think the Bears would draft Braylon.
  22. Remember, when Fullerton wins the big west tourney, big west will get two teams in, Pacific and Fullerton Oh ya, Go Hawkeyes tomorrow. I'm starting to like this team again, which means they'll get there asses dropped tomorrow. The loss of that turd Pierce has been a good thing, mentally for them.
  23. Good news everyone, the real Orange Crush...Cal State Fullerton beat UCSB in the 2nd round (Fullertons 1st game) of the Big West tourney. They play the 2 seed (Utah State) tomorrow. GO TITANS
