I swear to god they must of been hear reading some of our posts. That seems awfully familiar to what me, 2k, JimH, and others have said in regards to Nomar Still, I think Nomar would be a very good fit for the White Sox and he still has star power.

Bull kind of fits the same bill as Josh Fields. Both have put up good numbers everywhere they go but are overlooked by scouts because they don't have that amazing fastball that people like to drool over. I think Rex was pretty much right on in what he said. I hope Bull makes it though.

I've been off all week Well minus having to go in for a couple hours yesterday.

Which is the most dramatic ending to a game?

I'd go with walkoff homer. But an overtime game in the playoffs is something special and I'm not even much of a hockey fan. -
So basically this means he's going to be tradedover the offseason and whoever gets him will be able to count on him for the entire season, assuming he doesn't pull a Ricky, lol. NFL should of suspended him longer then that.

Iowa takes down Texas in a good game. Some ticky tack calls were fouled and Iowa shot poor from the line until the stretch where they stepped it up. It was a really good game though. Pierce made a really foolish foul that gave Texas some momentum late when it looked as if Iowa had it put away. But then Pierce hit a huge 3 late in the game to give Iowa the lead. That was BS though how Texas was setting up a play when they should of been at the line. Horner missed a free throw during that sequence opening up the gates for Texas, but Texas couldn't come through and tie it up. Pierce was hurt at the end of the game though. Hopefully its nothing serious but he couldn't put any pressure on his ankle. -
Ya, we can hold off till like February. Then do a minor league draft around then too

I like Tracey that much. I think him and Bmac are going to be one of the better minor league duo's in all of baseball (in terms of pitching prospects within an organization). Tracey has a very very high upside. I just figured BA would hold him a few slots lower, but Tracey has a fantastic arm. Great movement and he's just learning how to pitch. As far as his arm goes, he pitches pretty much every day on the side. Like Jim says they say he's got a rubber arm (knock on wood).

I'm assuming to Seattle or Bmore. Gonna have to go with Bmore.

What password? Cause I'm registered on the board as either Texas GM or Rangers GM I forget which. Hopefully you can grab the open team since you thought you had a team, but we'll have to wait till someone in charge of this thing comes by the board. By the way RedandWhite/Knuckle/Whoever Else I'm working on the server stuff right now

Hey Smalls. I don't know how you got Texas, but I signed up as Texas GM two days ago. Somehow their was a confusion and I guess someone thought we were co-gming. I don't know for sure though cause I'm just playing in this thing, not in charge

Shush you, I'm such a charitable poster...always trying to delight people in my grammar misfortunes

Thtas pretty cool Killa. We both were lucky then. I was in Vegas this past weekend and one 125. Bears cost me on the over otherwise I had a 400 dollar parlay. I was tempted to put Money on the Sox but then thought, I'll wait. One thing I noticed was the Sox were pretty out their in terms of odds. They were 40/1 at Caesars last week, with the Rangers and Tigers rated right with them. Them and the Rangers were the best bet I saw in picking up good money. Sounds like a fun time killa

Tate is going to be a good one. Only a sophmore, the Hawkeyes get two more years of him

OMFG, DO IT. Nene is a good offensive player, well a developing one who seems to have a good attitude. I like Chandler but I don't know if he's low post game will ever develop properly. Plus they get Sktisifhidi or however you spell it (I know the spelling is far different then the pronunciation). He's thought of as a good defender and both have big bodies. This then opens up a deal of Eddy Curry. Personally I'd unload both of them and start over. I love the base with Hinrich/Deng/Nocioni and I'm even thinking Gordon could have a future as an awesome 6th man. I realize you don't draft a guy in the 3rd round for that, but I'm talking Bobby Jackson type. Just instant offense. Then Skidi/Nene coming off the bench or starting with the Bulls maybe able to acquire Wilcox for Curry in a 3 way deal involving Dunleavy potentially. Besides that they would be able to keep these quality players and be able to make a run at Stromile Swift. Swift/Skidi/Nene Wilcox/Skidi/Nene Deng/Nocioni Gordon/Deng/Nociono Kirk Hinrich/Gordon/Duhon Obvioulsy AD and Harrington would probably get sihpped out, potentially for a good player. I think Harrington is actually a FA but I could be wrong.

Sandy Koufax

I'd be really surprised if Sandy went and joined the Mets coaching staff cause I know the Sox are interested in giving him a position somewhere in the organizatoin. Also, glad to see JM get another opportunity. I thought he'd of been an excellent hire for the Phillies and while thinks didn't work out in Chicago, I think with the right personell, he's going to once again be a good manager, like he was in the early years with the Sox.
-
If Seattle or Bmore both lose out on them that could be a very nice situation. Joel Pineiro and Randy Wynn could look nice, especially if the Mariners desperately want to add power at 1b. The Sox would probably have to include something extra, but thats a deal I'd be really interested in.
-
I'll agree with that. I've long said if the Sox don't use PK for RJ they will try to get involved in the deal anyway and pick up Javier Vazquez. However if that doesn't happen I kind of think the Sox will keep Paul Konerko and instead look towards free agency for a starting pitcher. But Beck a deal with the Expos would be more then fine with me, they have some pieces that would work. But I don't think your going to get Chad Cordero out of Montreal, if they did, I'd be giddy.

Teams may not wait till Dec 7th now since the Cubs are rumored to be willing to offer him arbitration. Although I can't see them doing it with Nomar.
-
Then I take that comment back Steff I forgot the mid-season acquisitions which would of definately boosted that payroll up.
-
3 years is a pretty long term deal for Damian Miller, imo. And your right you'd be nuts to give Varitek anything near what he's asking for. But the Angels have been very interested for whatever reason.
