  1. And a great one at that. I think your idea of RJ and Leiter owns too. Insert Delgado in with that and oooo yah We can dream
  2. Trust me, I wouldn't want Everett playing RF, but Delgado is an adequate first baseman. He may be big, but he actually is a pretty solid athlete.

This is obviously just a AAA move.
  4. Sox Acquire: Tim Hudson, Carlos Delgado, Nomar Garciapara How: Three way deal with Konerko going to Pitt, Kendall and cash going to Oakland and Huddie coming to the SouthSide. The Sox then sign Delgado to like a 2 yr 16 mill deal with some option years. They then sign Nomar to a 1 yr 7 mill deal. Payroll wise it would essentially fit right into that so called 75 mill payroll. Only weakness this team would have would be the bullpen. But could you imagine: Hudson Buehrle Garcia Contreras Garland Harris Nomar Lee Delgado Thomas Rowand Everett/Gload Crede Davis/Burke
  5. Wow thats got to rank as one of the best sigs ever
  6. To Point something out. I know many Sox fans were concerned about Nomar's awful road splits away from Fenway park the past couple years when the Sox had acquired him this past offseason. Well if it helps at all, he hit .308 with a .365 OBP and .842 OPS combined last season...although he appeared in just 81 games. Although at 31 he still has some good years ahead of him, imo. However in 43 games with the Cubs he hit .297 with a .364 OBP which was still very solid and would be a definate upgrade in the 2 slot. Just make sure Uribe spells him every once in a while. 6 to 7 mill over 1 year and maybe an option year if Nomar's people want it would be fine by me. In fact, I'd be exstatic. Also his splits this past season were better on the road then home. I don't know his status but he did play in 156 games each of the previous two seasons.

  8. Nah, gets to hot during the summer. California Winter is just perfect. A cool breeze...now if only their would be a little snow. This past weekend it snowed basically to the base of the mountains which was cool, but didn't quite make it to me.
  9. Ya, I kind of thought the same thing. But of course I'm one of the few Harris supporteres on the board
  10. The other big thing that hurts Perez is his record, even though in a sense he didn't have that much control over it.
  11. Umm, what injury problems is everyone referring to with Clement. We are all speculating that he is hurt or something. I realize he's had some minor injury problems but he throws innings pretty much every year. On the other hand, Odalis Perez, whom I happen to like, has missed starts pretty much every season due to arm troubles.
  12. I think they expect to make more money, but until figures start coming in they aren't going to know for sure. I'm sure JR and the other owners have estimates and its giong to be one of those things where they probably make a little less this year while the whole thing grows, but in the end should make the same or a little more while having a lot more freedom.
  13. Nenn isn't going to sign a major league deal. His people have already prepared him for that and he's prepared for that. I feel because this is the case he's going to end up sticking in San Francisco, but I know he lives in the Orange County area (at least part of the time). My best friend works at a physical therapy place that Nenn goes to. But ya, I'd offer him a minor league contract and I'm pretty sure you can still offer him incentives and stuff.
  14. Ya, Omar Minaya is doing pretty much the same stuff every other Mets GM has done lately which is overpay players and make stupid trades.
  15. I swear to god they must of been hear reading some of our posts. That seems awfully familiar to what me, 2k, JimH, and others have said in regards to Nomar Still, I think Nomar would be a very good fit for the White Sox and he still has star power.
  16. Bull kind of fits the same bill as Josh Fields. Both have put up good numbers everywhere they go but are overlooked by scouts because they don't have that amazing fastball that people like to drool over. I think Rex was pretty much right on in what he said. I hope Bull makes it though.
  17. I've been off all week Well minus having to go in for a couple hours yesterday.
  18. Wow thats horrible s***. Cerb went to Valpo and another poster WhiteSoxIn goes to Valpo if I recall. Hope everyone makes it through alright.
  19. I'd go with walkoff homer. But an overtime game in the playoffs is something special and I'm not even much of a hockey fan.
  20. So basically this means he's going to be tradedover the offseason and whoever gets him will be able to count on him for the entire season, assuming he doesn't pull a Ricky, lol. NFL should of suspended him longer then that.
  21. Iowa takes down Texas in a good game. Some ticky tack calls were fouled and Iowa shot poor from the line until the stretch where they stepped it up. It was a really good game though. Pierce made a really foolish foul that gave Texas some momentum late when it looked as if Iowa had it put away. But then Pierce hit a huge 3 late in the game to give Iowa the lead. That was BS though how Texas was setting up a play when they should of been at the line. Horner missed a free throw during that sequence opening up the gates for Texas, but Texas couldn't come through and tie it up. Pierce was hurt at the end of the game though. Hopefully its nothing serious but he couldn't put any pressure on his ankle.
  22. Ya, we can hold off till like February. Then do a minor league draft around then too
  23. I like Tracey that much. I think him and Bmac are going to be one of the better minor league duo's in all of baseball (in terms of pitching prospects within an organization). Tracey has a very very high upside. I just figured BA would hold him a few slots lower, but Tracey has a fantastic arm. Great movement and he's just learning how to pitch. As far as his arm goes, he pitches pretty much every day on the side. Like Jim says they say he's got a rubber arm (knock on wood).
  24. I'm assuming to Seattle or Bmore. Gonna have to go with Bmore.
  25. What password? Cause I'm registered on the board as either Texas GM or Rangers GM I forget which. Hopefully you can grab the open team since you thought you had a team, but we'll have to wait till someone in charge of this thing comes by the board. By the way RedandWhite/Knuckle/Whoever Else I'm working on the server stuff right now
