  1. I still don't have a problem with Chacon, assuming it won't cost much in terms of minor leaguers. Chacon has loads of potential and could turn into a very good setup man and if all things fail or an injury happens he can also be an effective back of the rotation starter. By the way, I would be thrilled if the Sox signed Matt Clement.
  2. I think Kenny has already hinted that they don't intend to use Everett as RF. I think they either move Konerko and just live with Everett as a part time DH/outfielder or move Lee and go with Everett or Gload in LF while picking up a RF like Dye/Guillen/etc.
  3. If each of them produced at least years rate, I'd say it would be a top 3 outfield. The Angels could be better if it acquired Carlos Beltran (That would potentially be the greatest outfield of all time).
  4. Maggs is an ass; Jose sucks ass and Konerko is only going to be traded for another valuable player, imo. Plus that hasn't happened yet. The Sox also added Freddy Garcia, Jose Contreras and potentially a good starter via fa/trade.
  5. Hey, since Williamson is hurt I just edited the poll to include Osuna instead (since u mentioned that). Tell me if you want me to change it back and I will
  6. Yes, but I charge outrageous interest rates
  7. It wouldn't be tough for the Sox to get me, they'd just have to give me about 100,000 a year
  8. Ya, roughly that. I don't have the numbers on me right now, but thats essentially how it works, give or take a million bucks.
  9. I think its like a 2.5 million buyout. So instead of the Sox accepting his 9 or 10 million player option (not sure what it is) they could instead buy out his contract (meaning he can't accept his option either) and he becomes a free agent but does get his buyout from the White Sox. For example the New York Mets declined the 10 million dollar option on Al Leiter, instead choosing to go with his 2 million dollar buyout, making him a free agent.
  10. Its an expensive photo program if you buy it at a store. Its what a lot of graphic designers use (although they typically go with Adobe Illustrator). But I think most of the people use it and probably download it (I am not condoning this, hehe).
  11. This is potentially Thomas's final year. The Sox hold a buyout on his contract after this year if I recall. Well its likely his final year under this contract, although he could very well resign again for less. While Kenny doesn't like Frank, him and JR have an outstanding relationship. Just like JR and Arn Tellem (his agent) have a great relationship which is why I think if Nomar doesn't get much loving out their that the Sox could swoop in and be a player on a one year deal.
  12. Plus with his work ethic his shot should just improve slowly and slowly. He could turn into a Eric Snow type player (how his offense slowly developed into something rather decent). Love the way he plays defense and picks apart defenses as a rookie though.
  13. God, Duhon is a good passer. Bulls show nice ball movement and then Duhon drives and dishes to Curry for a beautiful two points. Now that was something to get excited about.
  14. Polanco is a good player. I'm getting more and more into the idea of him and Kendall at the top of the lineup.
  15. I'd love Peja here, but I think we'll have to wait until he becomes a free agent. Unless of course the Kings are way out of it and decide they'd like one of the Bulls younger players and a smaller contract to go with it (so the salaries even out).
  16. The Bulls are looking good when they get Curry the ball. Curry is rebounding too, not just the easy rebounds but he's gotten some difficult ones.
  17. Cause they all seem to hate each other or something. I'm as puzzled as you are though, because Webber is better then Vlade and they didn't have him much at all last year. Maybe Vlade was the cog that made all of them get along.
  18. I was thinking maybe he was talking about Leiter but just didn't say the name. It couldn't be Floyd cause he isn't a free agent. Plus if I recall Floyd is from this area so I'm sure he'd welcome a move to Chicago. Problem is he has serious health issues, although he can play when he's healthy.
  19. I was intrigued and appalled at the same time. I lived with it thinking about how Falk said he wouldn't have his players go to Chicago (Elton being one of them). I was more appalled when the Bulls traded Artest and when the morons signed Pippen instead of Posey.
  20. That be a great offseason if the Sox didn't get Ortiz, but instead opted for someone else. I would be a fan of giving Leiter a 1yr 5 mill deal and maybe consider a 3 man booth with him joining DJ and Hawk if he were interested. Leiter has been good in the booth during the postseason, plus I think his leadership would be very valuable on the southside, although he isn't necessarily an innings guy (but the rest of the arms seem to be).
  21. I wish we had Brad Miller instead. Krause knew talent, for whatever reason the coaching staff and players never gelled. Part of which the Bulls had Artest get hurt and in a sense some things didn't work out. Of course his Chandler for Brand deal was atrocious in hindsight.
  22. Trust me that was the same feeling I had when I saw it scroll on ESPN News while waiting for Rob Neyer to come on. I was scared those news reports would be right (although in my mind I thought Kenny couldn't be that foolish).
  23. IT was a good pass. At the same time, Curry was inside the paint and should of just taken it up strong. Twice he's done that tonight and not gotten the foul call though.
  24. Burnitz may not be all that bad. He'd be in a good lineup and while he whiffs a whole lot he plays hard. Plus he'd provide a left handed bat. I've never been much of a fan, but in this lineup and out of the spotlight in a sense he could do some things.
  25. And I've long agreed with your assesment on that
