  1. Ya, Sisco was very highly rated and I think he had some arm trouble. I think he's the tall lefty who threw really hard with a power slider. Could be wrong, this if off the top of my head. I think he would be well worth the pickup, and you could give him the preseason and see if he would have what it took to be a lefty in the back of the pen, but I doubt the Sox do it.
  2. Boise State doesn't deserve a BCS game so I sure as hell hope they don't get one. The BCS sucks ass anyway. Their are better and more deserving teams then VaTech and BC.
  3. Hate to say it, but I don't think the Sox will take anyone in regards to the RuleV, although I think Rex's pick Drew Meyer would make some sense since its a position the Sox would have to carry anyway. Webster could be taken by someone cause he is a great athlete and still very young.
  4. Do it Do it DO it Thats all I got to say. If it costs the Sox Anderson, so be it. Randy Johnson is something the Sox haven't had in ions. Its a ballsy move and its the kind of move that can bring a world series to Chicago and I'm talking about the South Side of Chicago
  5. The Bears are in good shape when it comes to the cap.
  6. Who knows, but I was a proponented of signing him and still think he wouldn't be that horrible of a signing. What I do know is Krenzel and Quinn are garbage. And with Grossman coming back from an injury and the Bears defense having the pieces it does, I have no problem with the Bears and I think the Bears should have an open camp. In fact if they have a shot at Hasselbach or Brees, spend the money.
  7. Kurt Warner didn't get 9 million over 2 years. His actual salary was incredibly affordable. I don't know where this 9 mill number is coming from but its obviously coming from unlikely to earn incentives. Taken from a quote, he had a 1.5 million signing bonus which would be split cap wise over the two seasons. His base salary was 1.25 million and his cap hit for this season is 2 million. He has 8 million in unlikely to be earned and won't be earned incentives. If anyone wonders where I got the cap numbers from http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...8-2004Jun3.html The reason Warner is gonna be a FA is cause he can void the deal and because the Giants would cut him anyways since he will make 6 million in the 2nd year of the deal. The Giants never planned on actually going two years with Kurt.
  8. All I have to say is this. These sacks aren't necessarily a product of the oline. Now the oline has played terribly the past two games as its pretty banged up and Rex Tucker is showing that he wont' be a Bear next season. But watch when they do get time, they have some of the worse pocket presence I've ever seen and never, ever make a quick read and throw. When was the last time, other then on a screen pass, where you saw Krenzel actually do something like a 3 step drop or anything where the ball quickly left his hands. Krenzel and Quinn suck, but the play calls suck too. No one is going to tell me their is a good reason that Gage isn't playing and that Clark/Lyman aren't getting balls thrown to them. The Bears have a good weapon in Gage who has been lighting it up in practice. The Bears receiving coach has been begging Shea to get more playing time, yet he is barely on the field in the games. As far as Clark/Lyman go, no they aren't Tony Gonzalez but both are semi explosive tight ends with solid hands that can actually make plays, yet the offense is looking away from them. I will reiterate the fact that Terry O'Shea is garbage, the Bears need to cut their losses and hire Mike Martz after he gets canned by the Rams (I'm hoping no one else gives him a starting job and then he'll come coach for Lovie).
  9. No, Warner wanted a spot where he could have a competition for the starters spot and Angelo said it was Grossmans job. Thats the only reason Kurt Warner isn't on the Bears cause he wanted to come here.
  10. Well if you guys read rotoworlds article it says Tait has an ACL injury, doesn't specify if he tore it yet. And says Brown has a kneck injury and may be out the rest of the year. I wouldn't play Brown though cause the season is over and their is no reason risking permanent damage.
  11. Now I ask you this, John Shoop had a decent offense the year the Bears made the playoffs and he did things with lousy qb's, Atrain was always going down injured and the Bears receiving core was nothing with the exception of Marty Booker. The Bears also have had banged up oline the past couple years anyway. I don't accept excuses. I could see if these plays weren't working but he's calling absolutely garbage plays. For example he alwyas calls that stupid running play with the fake reverse. Problem is the Bears maybe actually run the reverse once or twice a game on average, so the other 8-10 times you run the play your telling the entire team that its going to be a run and they can be better prepared for it. Shea's play calls are garbage. Its as if he has no pattern or idea of what he's going to go. Pieced together his game plan is just TERRIBLE.
  12. Oh I know, I just wasn't one of them. He wasn't a good OC, but his offense was 10 times better then this Bears attack. He did thing with Matthews/Jim Miller and suffered through plenty of injuries. No one can really tell me he had that many more weapons then Shea, if anymore weapons than Shea cause he had to suffer through numerous injuries the past couple years.
  13. I'd think as of now it would be Cal/Utah, but a loss by Cal or Texas will likely put Boise State in it with Utah.
  14. Just look through and if you have a question if a guy was in the org post it and I'll tell you. Best thing I can say is look through the stats and see what names stick out. I don't have a list or anything, thats what I do when I write up pieces on the winter leagues.
  15. I don't get it. Are you implying Oakland is going to deal Kendall for Bradley? Or are you somehow implying the Pirates are going to acquire Bradley for Redman/Rhodes Cause I can tell you the Dodgers would be retarded to make that deal, just like the Pirates were idiots for making that Kendall trade. They could of done better, imo. And I'm assuming Kendall wasn't considering the Sox. I have no problem, while I love Kendalls numbers his contract woudl of probably made things tough on the Sox. I want pitching; A stud starter and a stud reliever. After that I could give a damn.

I can tell you I b****ed like no other when the Sox acquired Damaso Marte for Matt Guerrier. I wrote an article calling for Kenny's head. I was already bitter over his previously retarded deal of sending Kip Wells for Todd Ritchie. Of course my main gripe was why give up a guy who was fighting for the 5th spot for a guy that was about to get waived (Marte). Little did I know
  17. I don't think I"d offer 12 mill over two years for Liebs. I like Lieber, but at the same time I'm a bigger fan of Clement and I think he can be had for roughly that. Plus I got a feeling Odalis Perez gets something like 5 mill a year and he'd be a good pickup too.
  18. Shea is crap, he is a piece of s***. He is 10 times worse then John Shoop.
  19. First things first, get that piece of s*** Shea the hell out of Chicago. Krenzel and Quinn can go with him.
  20. Remember what Wayne did with the Marlins???? Sure they won a world series and then he absolutely dismantled them. However, I'm a fan of Mark Cuban
  21. I'd be all over this. I've long said dealing PK for Vazquez and cash would make sense. The Sox rotation would be taken care of and the Sox can then focus on a reliever and maybe even picking up Nomar or Delgado or whoever else to round out the offense.

I know one thing, they've signed Redmond and let Borders/Blanco walk, so with me reading between the lines it makes me think the rumors of him never catching again are false.
  23. Also David or Darren Bennet the good wide receiver of the Titans who was originally a QB at UCLA.
  24. Guys just relax. R&W is working his ass off. Let him take his time. One day or two days isn't a difference. Lets make sure this thing is set up right.
