  1. Laura had a very good speach, imo. She looked a little stiff on ocassions when she was reading the teleprompter, but overall I thought she looked pretty comfortable. She also did a nice job painting what went on in Bush's mind, which I think was very good politically. Laura is a very sharp, respected women. I also liked the fact she brought up women in Iraq and Afghan, because for a long time I have wondered when they would mention that because politically it makes sense. The women, especially in Afghan had absolutely 0 rights and what they had to go through was absolutely absurd. Iraq wasn't as bad, but it was still awful and the type of torture chambers they had and the way that country was run was awful. Overall, I think this speach will definately help Bush. Unlike Heinz, she didn't talk all about herself and she tried to set a frame of who Bush is (although Its not quite as important as it was for Kerry, cause most people know who Bush is, while far fewer know much about Kerry, who hasn't been in the spotlight all that long, even if he is a long term senator). Only part I'd really argue with was when she talked about health care, because I still think this country needs to do a lot more whne it comes to it. I'm not saying do it like it is in Europe or Canada, but the prices of medicines is absolutely ridiculous.
  2. Finally someone hit the ball. Hopefully my intramural team isn't that bad, but I'll be happy as long as I'm not the worse player. As long as one person sucks more, then its all good, lol.
  3. Would that be interference for the team in the field
  4. And now, Laura Bush I sure hope she does a better job then Hines or however you spell it (Heinz).
  5. Shouldn't he be worried about getting hit with a foul ball???
  6. Now the daughters are on to ligthen the mood as well as announce the next speaker....George W. Bush from Village Park PA (You better be paying attention Alex).
  7. Well if its any positive, the national GOP officials asked them to stop. I agree though, I'm not for sending that message. Regardless of the type of injuries and you can debate what type of leader he was down in the jungle and out on the river, but only his troops know that and I'm not going to tell him he was a pussy, cause he was there. He may of b****ed about it and what not afterwards and said some really stupid comments that I can't believe were said, but he went there and that earns something in my book.
  8. Now if only she was better looking...first women president *Now I'm gonna run like hell*
  9. Damn, someone is gonna get an A on Porn Star Spelling Bee
  10. Nah, I wanted that female porn star...that would of been way cooler...Marie Kate or something like that.
  11. Thats right, Arnold...representing California and making me proud. Finally the state has a man to get the problems solved and the leader it needs.
  12. I'm in. For once I'm going to win instead of fading when I forget a week or two.
  13. Morally devoid, have you seen the stuff that used to go on in the greek and Roman empire? I don't know if I would go that far and you couldn't blame television for that. I enjoy my tv and I don't like it being sensored. I don't see Europe having that big of a trouble and their television is way more off the walls then US's. Agree with what you said on the war though.
  14. Cause in all honesty, were all wondering what the hell Blockbuster was thinking
  15. I don't know if you could say that. I mean, 9/11 was a huge event and its something that would make a president, but who knows what he would of done had 9/11 not happened. Its too hard to say, I mean what would FDR of been without Pearl Harbor?? FDR could of went down as one of the worse presidents ever, instead, completely different, but whose to say his ideas wouldn't of worked on their own (I don't know), without the aid of a war.
  16. But Ted Kennedy still took some shots at him. He was one of the few guys though and he didn't do it near as much as you would of expected. I know Kerry is having a rally with Edwards around midnight on Thursday and plans on making a response speach a few hours after Bush officially accepts the republican nomination.
  17. Ya, I think they are trying to show the party as a party of many diverse opinions, but all with similar base opinions in a sense. I mean, Arnold, Rudy, and McCain all are more middle of the line republicans.
  18. Its because Garcia was scratched again, so Grilli pitches Wednesday and Diaz on tuesday. Plus at this point I don't mind telling him, just go out and pitch and see what happens.
  19. Especially because McCain stayed away from it and while Rudy said some stuff on it, it wasn't like total stuff. The thing I Find garbage is, I watched the DNC and I remember FoxNews (the so called conservative station) having people even saying, this is a time for the democrats to get their say and there wasn't much negative, and CNN kept talking it up, especially Bob Dole, saying basically put, this is a time when the republicans will be quiet basically out of respect or what not.
  20. Wow, that was interesting to say the least.
  21. I guess the Bears offered him a one year deal at the veteran min. Philly was a good fit for him though. He knows their system and is familiar with the players, coaching staff, and of course city.
  22. Damn, a wore or two...is that anything like a whore Ya, I ended up taking out a bunch of wires and it still works. Of course, usually when I Try doing it I say I'm not going to let the wires go all over the place, but in the end, they still do.
  23. It was amazing none the less, but one homer doesn't make a guys career. The only thing it shows is that he's got power potential, but thats useless if he keeps his long slow swing.
