Nice to see he got hit, but buckled back down and got in a groove.

Well when I'm in Iowa in October for my pops wedding, I promise to say it with bad grammar

Been on for a bit, Cheney is on the stage right now, and prior to that was an absolutely terrific speach by Democrat (From Georgia) Zell Miller. Miller had a lot of fire in his speach and to me it was probably the best speach of the convention thus far. The fact that it was a democrat giving it, made it even more effective, imo. I'll say one thing, and it continues with Cheney's speach and that is that the Republicans are on the offensive right here and they are going to go after Kerry's record. However, Cheney didn't once mention anything about Kerry's military record, other then the fact he was in Vietnam and you have to honor that. I thought Zell did an oustanding job talking about Kerry and all the things he voted against. Tomorrow is when some of their national policies are expected to be discussed about by Bush and the plans they have. Its quite obvious that tort reform is going to be a big issue and I for one and excited that this is finally going to happen. Specifically Cheney mentioned the litigation reform for Medicine and how they want to clean up trial lawyers. The lawyers in this country are freaking driving costs up in so many different businesses and I'd say 80% of the time its for the wrong reasons. Its a serious problem and fixing it will definately be a bigger step then a lot of people would think in regards to this country, imo. One thing I really didn't like was the crowd chanting flip flop all the time. I don't know if I was the only one, but I wanted them to shut the hell up. Just let Cheney speak.

Just remember, I've long been a Majew backer.

I'll take your color type by type, instead of those announcers Randy, lol.

s***, reading up on this, I remember how much homework I didn't do during high school. God was high school an assload of work, thank god I'm not in it anymore.

I go Monday through Thursday 8:30 - 11:15 and on Monday's I also have a night class from 4 to 6:45, but I usually get out about an hour early. Way better than that bs 8:00 to 3 everyday of high school.

I don't know if I mentioned this, but I'm so in

Ya, but things may be different in 4 years if that act is passed. I have no idea if it will (I forget the name of the act), but if it does he'll be eligible. I think it says you have to be a citizen for 25 years. I've also heard mention of a democract in Michigan that would be eligible as well and he's supposed to be a pretty strong candidate from the democratic perspective. That being said, I'm sure Hilary will do whatever she can to make sure that doesn't happen.

To be honest, I wouldn't even know if my high school had an exchange student. Our graduating class was more then 1000 students, so between the four grades we had 4500 students or so.

On the whole homosexual issue, I must be one of the rare republicans that could give two cents about the whole thing. I just don't consider it an issue. I really don't pay attention to what my neighbor is doing, nor do I care. As long as he isn't murdering people, molesting children, selling drugs, etc. Imo, being gay isn't in that category, therefor I don't care. People have been gay probably since the cave days. Their were homosexuals in the roman empire and prior to that. Hell, back then it wasn't even looked at as a big deal. Just because god says its wrong, doesn't mean I'm going to buy into it. Hell, if thats the theory, then a hell of a lot of christians would be screwed already because they had premarital sex. Here's a question, whats worse...premarital sex or being gay? (I hope everyone sees the sarcasm in it). I guess I consider myself a christian, but I'm not a virgin and I don't think I'm going to hell because of it. So why should some parts of christianity be looked at more heavily then others. As far as I'm concerned, life is different now then it was when the bible was created. I think the bible sets up some good values and the world would be better if it followed the main rules of almost every religion (if you look, all religions essentially are based on some good morals), but the far out whackos just go way overboard. *end rant*

Well in 2008 their will be a pro choice republican running for office, imo. Whether its Arnold, McCain, or Rudy.

When has John Kerry laid forth any sort of plan. Hell, one of the only plans I've heard him talk about is his college educational plan, which was on MTV's rock the vote special on him. He went on to mention he wants to make college free to all Americans who are willing to join this group. Its kind of like beinga reservist, except you are basically set to help out your community for like 2 to 4 years and you get free school. The thing is, this makes no freaking sense. Sure it would be tremendous to have people help out the community, but so many young americans would be doing this. I don't know about you, but I don't know how the hell they could afford to do something like this, unless he plans on replacing all the city employees with volunteer students, but I'm sure that would piss off a hell of a lot of people. Although Im sure with all the bs city/government jobs their are, it wouldn't be much of a problem when it comes to efficiency. Sorry if someone works in the govt, but its just my opinion that there are a whole lot of bs jobs out there but I'm not implying that yours is one.

CORRUPT???? George Sr. is one of the biggest patriots their is, and Dubya is a hell of a patriot as well. You can disagree with his opinions, but calling them corrupt is plain old BS. They have definately cleaned up what is going on, I'm sure some stuff still gets hidden, its politics, but things are a lot cleaner now then they were during Clinton, imo. In no way does this have any reference to who was the better president, I'm not getting into that, but I think calling this administration corrupt is very inaccurate.
-
Well, I can tell you one thing....I was reading in the Times something about this and it mentioned that roughly 70-80% of the money coming from these groups is going on Anti Bush ads, so the swift boats, while an anti Kerry, it isn't like its only coming from this side, in fact a lot more have been done on the other side. Bush is wanting to get rid of this type of advertising, but I know Newt is against it as are some republicans. I really like Newt, but thats just me.
-
They are showing it on Fox News now. All I can say is these type of ads are definately going to have an effect on the election.
-
I had that happen. I actually scored decently high, but it was still s***ty in comparison. That was a freaking hardass test.

I still think Edwards is a better candidate then Kerry. If they reversed the ticket, I think it would be really interesting. Edwards is definately and up and comer in the democratic party because of his charisma. You can disagree with me all you want and say the politics matter, but if your charisimatic, you can get advisors around you to do the rest, imo. Thats just how this society is. 95% of the people don't know the politics behind it, so they watch a debate or two see whose charismatic and go with that. Both people are going to say things that sound good, and most voters won't think about which ideas actually make sense and are plausible. I completely disagree with Edwards stance and his whole two america bs he always yaps about, but regardless, I think he's a strong candidate and I still think he would of been a much better candidate for the democratic party.

I'm assuming he will get some time. The knights have been desperate for some healthy arms. One thing about Orionny, I don't know if he'll make it, but he has a sweet looking curveball.
-
Well the pundints didn't think too much of her speach, lol.

With McCain, I think he makes a good politician because he isn't afraid to tell someone know or to stand up for what he believes in. I'm a really big fan of that in him. Of course, this tendency could lead to some blowups and that could happen when and if he runs for president in four more years. I'm sure GW would like to get re-elected and then hope his brother would follow suit, but to me, I think it would be really difficult (if everything went well) for that to happen. However, I thought both had good speaches. To be honest, I think McCains was more important, even if it wasn't quite as passionate (Rudy is just a really passionate person who is definately a better public speaker). However, ask New Yorkers what they thought of him during most of his tenure. He was probably one of the most hated mayors ever in New York. To his credit, he took the heat and stuck with what he thought was best and in the end he really cleaned up New York and then on top of that, he did an oustanding job during and following 9/11.

Ya, that was the times she would look uncomfortable to me. She'd kind of get stuck reading the teleprompter too long. However, for most of the time, she looked comfortable, imo.
