  2. Ah thats great news. I really like Deiningers arm. He's got a good fastball with some life to it.
  3. - Camping at the beach next weekend - Spring semester ending at the end of May - Roadtrip to Vegas with my buds (almost all of us turned 21 within a few days) - Summer - Sox whooping ass - Summer School Ending - FUTURESOX Roadtrip
  4. Someone needs to talk me off the ledge
  5. I can't stop laughing over the whole thing. I'm just hoping the media coverage will be much like Bonds and they'll just act as if he never won anything
  6. Mrs. Warner is the best...her comments crack me up. I love it when wives control athletes, its pure comedy. First Glen Rice, then Doug Christie, now Warners wife.
  7. Tracey pitched pretty good, minus the 5 walks. didn't give up a run and he's really been berring down, plus he had 8 k's. He's one of my favorite prospects, I'd love see someone who played ball in my hometown make it
  8. Nah, I got dignity...I'll just break his typing hands
  9. I agree at the end of the season the Sox will be choosing between Lee and Maggs. However, what if the choice ended up being between Lee and Konerko. Both will be due pretty good money and if Konerko has a good year he will also be marketable. I think as of now, the Sox will hold, but I'd look for KW to be agressive if a player is out their to really put this team over the top.
  10. This quote from Tex in the 2k4 Posting Race Remember Jas made most of his posts in the days before expansion. There wasn't as many forums and threads to post in. Kind of like Babe Ruth and Bonds.
  11. He's very agressive at the plate, don't worry Dan...it will all work out, Young = Potential STUD (if I had to say it again..I just like pissing you off, lol)
  12. OMG, after reading through this whole thread, all I can say is :lolhitting This was pure comedy, I'm with aboz, this has got to be up for nomination as the thread of the year.
  13. Exactly...we need some type of testing system
  14. Baj has been pitching outstanding. Oh ya, Young had a double in the first game. (For kanny)
  15. I'd say Kelly, but I still don't really see much need for Burke here either, so I wouldn't be shocked if Burke went down instead.
  16. Kanny ended up splitting the double hitter.
  17. I don't have a freaking clue. I'd have Neal Cotts in their or would of had someone. No point having mark pitch on 3 day rest this early.
  18. Its just one game and knowing Ozzie, he'll use this game as motivation and I think tomorrow the Sox will play a really crisp game. Also, want to say welcome aboard
  19. I've only seen Arnie pitch in spring training, but I think he tops out at 90, but is more in the 88-89 range, although he could very well throw 91 or so.
  20. Guillermo Reyes Demoted to Birmingham By Danny Santaromita and Jason Gage May 4, 2004 FutureSox.com The Charlotte Knights sent shortstop Guillermo Reyes back to the Birmingham Barons to make room for Dan Wright, who was optioned to the minors after making his last start for the White Sox. Wright struggled in the Sox rotation going 0-4 with an 8.15 ERA. The Sox hope Wright can regain the form which helped him win the job this spring. If he can, he will likely rejoin the White Sox when they need a full time 5th starter. Danny made 15 starts for the Knights last season after spending all of 2002 with the White Sox. Reyes joined the Knights on April 20th when Kelly Dransfeldt was promoted to Chicago after Jose Valentin was placed on the disabled list. Reyes hit .083 in four games for the Knights while batting .143 in in fourteen at-bats for the Barons this season . Last season the 22 year-old switch-hitter hit .210 with 34 RBI and 15 stolen bases with the Barons. Impact on the Barons: Red hot Mike Morse has been playing shortstop for the Barons and should remain the starter. Reyes could be featured as a utility man behind Morse and 2nd baseman Ruddy Yan. Reyes played two games at 2nd when Yan was nursing an early season shoulder injury. Impact on the Knights: Danny Wright will force the Knights to go with a six-man rotation. Up until last nights shelling, all of the Knights starters have been spectacular. The six man rotation will be a temporary move as the White Sox will likely be calling up a pitcher from Charlotte to join the rotation. While Wright is in the rotation, Jose Valentin will continue to be the starting shortstop as he finishes up his rehab stint in Charlotte. Valentin should be with the White Sox by the end of the week with Drasnfeldt likely being sent down to Charlotte where he will be the starting shortstop.
  21. Lol Dan...I'll work on combining them.
  22. That was a bulls*** 3-0 strike call on PK. That pitch was well outside.
  23. Yep, won't happen till June 1st, but maybe the Bears feel confident they can sign a deal with him once he's released.
  24. Well, Kelly gets a single. Maybe he can be the start of a rally.
