  1. In case anyone else doesn't know it, he was released by the cubs. I know thats what you were trying to say Brando...but the excitement got the best of you
  2. Agreed. I still don't see the flaw in Harris. He's slowly been hitting more and more and his average is around .290 or at least it was at one point on Sunday. He also has great speed, can drop a bunt, and is a good fundemental 2nd baseman with average to above average range (very good range on the fly balls). And as long as Uribe is hitting the ball, you can't complain about him. He also is a good defensive shortstop, although he's been known to make the ocassional mental lapse (been good so far this season though). I also don't mind Jose because he does provide left handed pop and leadership. Right now, I have no problem with giving Reed more time in the minors and moving Willie to CF. The only thing I don't like is it jumbles Willie Harris, then again I see Chone Figgins play a ton of positions in Anaheim all while starting and it doesn't seem to effect him. The two players seem like clones to me (Figgins and Harris). Now if the Sox cna move Carlos or PK for a good starting pitcher I'll be even more happy. I'd prefer to keep Carlos, soley because he has better speed and in general I think he has more upside. But if the two of them can get on track, it will really help this offense. Plus you got Maggs in a funk and Crede is still not even near on track. Heck, as of late, the top of the order has been the last thing to worry about (well, at least the first two hitters). Still, considering how poorly the offense has played (minus the homers) you can't be dissapointed to have the record the Sox have.
  3. Damn, didn't he have a 3 homer game like two days ago?
  4. Thank goodness Heads favorite is doing worse then my favorite in Chris Young
  5. Must be the new name Speaking of which, AIM
  6. Ah man, this is good stuff.
  7. I don't know, I think Mario could somehow turn out. For whatever reason he seems like a pure hitter although his numbers as of late wouldn't reflect that.
  8. Haigwood had a perfect game going through 5 and then hit a jam in the 6th. He's been pitching tremendous.
  9. Sweeney would be sweet Also, when I get off my butt, I'm going to upload some more video footage I got from late last year on a few of the Sox prospects. Slowly that type of archive should build up as well. I'm also going to set up an interview archive
  10. I can only think of one reason why the Sox wouldn't bring him up and thats that they are planning on acquiring another starter so they are only looking at Grilli or whoever making just one start. If thats the case then you may not want Diaz to come up and potentially get hard only to get sent right back down to the minors. Personally, I think before the Sox make any trades, unless they are getting a truly damn good pitcher, they should give Diaz a shot because he has the stuff to be a sucessful pitcher at the mlb level. Grilli also has good stuff and he has major league experience so I can see if they wanted to go with him if it was more of a spot start type thing becuase he'd be more likely to handle this. Still, I don't find the above very likely and I'd be pissed if Diaz wasn't the man called up. Plus, i'd also be puzzled as to why he was brought in from the pen.
  11. Agreed, I think espn 1000 just didn't do enough research on this. Its no secret the Sox are going to be leaving espn 1000 when their contract is up with the score replacing them. Or at least thats my feeling.
  12. Ya, were working on getting players from different affiliates as well. Were going to try to make this more of a regular feature of FutureSox.
  13. Welcome aboard. I think a few of us are perplexed but the Knights pen is so crowded their isn't any room, at least not yet. If he keeps kicking butt though, they will have to make room.
  14. Diaz was skipped because he will likely be called up to join the Sox.
  15. Enemencio Pacheco Placed on the Disabled List By Jason Gage May 9, 2004 FutureSox.com The Charlotte Knights placed right handed pitcher Enemencio Pacheco on the 15 day disabled list with a sore shoulder on Monday. The move is made retroactive to May 9th. Pacheco hurt his shoulder in Saturdays start against the Louisville Bats. Pacheco pitched just .2 innings in what was his first start of the season. He gave up 4 hits and 4 earned runs in the start, before leaving with soreness in his shoulder. He was 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in six games this season. Last season, Pacheco went 12-2 with a 2.56 ERA in 30 games (24 starts) for the Birmingham Barons. Pacheco will be replaced on the active roster by Kelly Wunsch, who was activated from the disabled list by the Chicago White Sox and then optioned to Charlotte. Wunsch pitched in nine games with the Knights already on a rehab assignment. He was 0-0 with a 4.26 ERA in 6.1 innings of work.
  16. A little off the subject, but you going to be back in Cali when the Sox are in town against the Angels?
  17. Ya, although I think the Sox will first give him a little more time in Winston Slame. However, if he keeps hitting for the next couple weeks, he'll definately be in-line for a promotion. The Barons outfield has been pretty weak with the exception of Michael Spidale.
  18. Just think of how much fun it will be to grade it
  19. I get that crap a few times a week.
