Kelly picks off Soriano. In the rundown Soriano got by Jose, but Jose quickly got the ball back to Uribe who was able to get the tag in just in time. For a second I thought it was botched.

If there is one thing I've noticed, it doesn't seem like Ozzie is too big on using his pinch hitters, at least not early in the game. I wouldn't of had jose playing at all, but after that 2nd at bat there wouldn't of been a chance in hell I'd let him face Rogers again. I'm pissed at the fact that Willie is feeling good (or at least thats whats reported) and he is now sitting. He needs to get his constant at bats.

two on with no one out. This is big for the Sox. They need to get through this unscaved imo. They also need to get Rogers the hell out of this game. He has done a tremendous job changing speeds and has had pinpoint control tonight.

An Early Prediction
Well, not in the 1st round, and not one that doesn't feature a dynamite fastball.

I can't keep up with it. Been busy working on doing some database transferring for FutureSox as well as studying for finals.

Baseball Prospectus Article
I recommend reading it. BP is usually a pretty damn good read and this one was no exception. Thanks for the link cheat

White Sox - Rangers Series Preview
Its not offspeed stuff, its a breaking ball. His entire career Jose hasnt' been able to handle offspeed pitches. I have never to this day figured out why anyone has ever given him fastballs to hit. The only time he hits a breaking pitch (specifically the curve) is if a batter hangs it up. If you make a decent curve, whether your a righty or a lefty, he will be an easy out.

White Sox - Rangers Series Preview
I said it should be Harris. 15 at bats and people are ready to label him a right handed specialist (don't really know if thats a word). For cripes sake Jose is awful against anyone that has a decent breaking pitch and is smart enough to throw it every pitch (every once in a while busting Jose in with a fastball). For cripes sakes, I could go up their, snap off 3 of my mediocre curves in the dirt and get him out.

According to my other post, 3 feet

What called 3rd strike? Both Jose and Carlos went out swinging. Carlos chased an outside fastball but the way Rogers was jamming him in, it could only be expected. Jose whiffed on an awful breaking ball. The pitch was 3 feet outside.

Why the hell did I ever think their would be a rally when Jose was on deck. Why the hell is Ozzie letting him hit. He looks foolish against Rogers. Rogers ate him alive for the 3rd straight at bat.

Tuesday Texas Game Thread 5-25
Its alright, PK is going to start a 2 out rally right here

Tuesday Texas Game Thread 5-25
Damn Rogers goes with a well spotted outside fastball and gets Clee.

The Sox are just hitting these balls fouls. Come on Carlos, good 2 strike hitter.

An Early Prediction
I'd say the Jays would be another possibility. They are a team that favors strikes to velocity. I'd even say the Sox are potentially that type of team, although I think the Sox scouting is rather unique. They see guys whom they like the potential and will quite often notice players that they feel they could make minor changes and then turn them into real studs. They did that with both Rauch and Wright and while neither has panned out, both had high ceilings at one point in time or another.

Its great how the Sox have basically ticketed Willie as a guy to only play against righties. Especially considering had they waited 15 at bats this season they would of thought Harris was a bum. I think he has a much better shot at the plate against lefties then Jose does. Just look at Jose against a lefty with a breaking ball...it is impossible for him to hit it. And I don't want to see Willies stats against lefties because this is Willies 1st full season in the majors and the 1st time he's ever got the opportunity to essentially play everyday for an extended period of time.

Nah mmmmmmbeer....the pitchers are just getting hit when they leave the ball a little up in the zone.

The Milkman hits a solo homer and the game is tied at 2.

Rowand goes down looking.

Tuesday Texas Game Thread 5-25
I can't figure out Rowand. He has such a short quick swing, I'd think he would be a much more consistent hitter. Come on Arow

Scho with a pretty quick inning (minus Soriano's 2 out single in which he nearly struck out). Textiera strikes out (4 so far for Scho).

I'm sure one day when I'm finally yapping about FutureSox or something, that will be me I can only hope someone hits me squarely in the back of my head so I can shutup and stop making an ass out of myself

This guy talking about softball is really stumbling. Someone needs to get him to shutup so he can get his senses again.

If the Sox could find someone else to provide some left handed pop in the middle of the lineup, I'd think he would be trade bait with Willie and Juan doing there thing in the middle infield.
