Folks this game isn't over, which will be shown this inning or the next and tomorrows game is no guarantee. NOW GET SOME RUNS WHITE SOX
-
He's out. Flyout to Maggs to end the inning. NOW its time for a COMEBACK
-
I figured for sure this game would be nationally televised.

The Matrix (both of em) American History X Oceans Eleven Saving Private Ryan Blue Streak Lord of the Rings (Both of em) Animal House Fast Times at Ridgemont High Old School Others that I can't think of

Personally I'd say Carlos Lee is the MVP of the offense.

Thats very classy. Paniagua is classless. Good day Jose
-
Sounds like one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Two teams is plenty in Chicago and some would debate even that is too much.
-
Thats about the first time I've heard of JR really get involved in that fashion. Can't blame him considering the way Panigagua pitched. His velocity wasn't that great and I saw absolutely no movement or reason for optimism.
-
Some pretty damn good players on that list. I'm with ya on Barfield or Reed. I'd take Reed cause he did it at a higher level.
-
I'd do that every damn time i hit a homer if I knew it was gone. If it were close, I'd be busting my ass all the way. I never had huge power though, as I've only hit about 3 homers (Actual out of the fence homers) in my baseball career. None of them were absolute shots so I was hauling ass on everyone.
-
Plus Jose isn't getting any younger and he's a whiff machine. This guy could come in and fill the leadoff void and the Sox would probably then let go of Alomar Jr. and Everett and pick up at least a pick for one of them. Then if they could somehow get Jacque Jones to play center and you have Matsui and Jones 1/2 you'd have a damn good top of the order, imo. This is just my little pipedream. I'd keep the rotation the same and I wouldn't make any changes to the pen.
-
Ya I remember those discussions. I think the two of us would be great additions to the Sox staff as well as some other people here. I know Cerb/Rex/MN would be my minor league guys

When everyone in ur pen is doing well, ur a genius When everyone in ur pen is sucking it up, ur a moron You are what your pen does. Bringing anyone in with a 6 run lead really can't be a bad decision in and of itself. Quit blaming JM sometimes, hold these damn pitchers accountable Also, a lot of you manage in hinsight, and we all know that's 20/20. To put a pitcher who hasn't faced major league hitters in a year, and was released by Detroit, and cut by Tampa in spring training, in the game, a must game, is the dumbest decision I have ever witnessed a manager make. And to leave him in long enough for 4 people to reach base against him is incomprehenisble. Especially when you have Kelly Wunsch sitting on the bench twiddling his thumbs & being bored cause Manuel hardly ever plays him. That's our Jerry though......tinker tinker tinker! Scho was easily available as was Wunsch. Those would of been my guys. I had no problem giving Paniagua a shot, but after two batters I saw he had absolutely nothing. Get him out then, instead he gives up another hit and a walk. With Panigagua in I'd of had Wunsch or Koch already up and ready. I'd of made a point to not go with Gordon and Marte. Those are the guys that need the rest and the best way to ensure that is go with some guys you trust. For me I got enough faith in Wunsch, Scho, and even Koch to get 3 outs with a 6 run lead.
-
I'd of left Shoenweiss in their personally. I don't gripe with the decision, but Scho or Wunsch would of been the guys I went to. That or Koch.
-
Sox would make it back, imo, in the increased ticket sales they'd get from the Asian market. Plus, they'd have a guy they could market internationally.
-
Lots of motivation now for the Twins tho... Well Gordon shutting them down fired up the rest of the club.
-
I've been hoping the Sox would get him for a while. Would be a great addition to the club from both a on the field standpoint as well as a marketing standpoint. If he plays like he's capable off, it would be a great way for hte Sox to draw the Asian market into the Cell and in turn increase payroll.
-
Agreed. Garland needs to step up as does the bullpen and offense tomorrow so Gordon can get the night off. Hopefully the Sox can put up about 20 and they can use some of the not used too often guys in the pen.

He looked really good that inning. Hopefully its a sign that he's got his dominate release point back and that he's gonna dominate the rest of the way. -

They whine about everything, that's why it's so great to beat them. I'm sure they'll have some interesting quotes after this one if this score holds up. Let the quotes come after the division is over. I'm sick of the Sox talking too soon. As far as the Twins go, they can yap about whatever they want to. Just more things for the Sox to put up in the clubhouse as motivation. And the game isn't over yet. I take nothing for granted. Now come on Sox, put up a few more runs. -

Did it turn out to be foul? I couldn't tell. At first I thought no chance he made contact, but the Sox didn't show any replays. -

Velocity seems up from his first couple outings with the Sox.
