  1. Was watching - Curry went off and Bulls completely fell apart. Nuts. Buzelis had good first half.
  2. I preferred Wilson as a bounce back flip candidate in 25.
  3. This is a very good post - it’s why I’m not taking an rb in round 1. I think in round 2 - that is earliest you can do it and round 3 is fair game. Now if Bears moved down 10-12 slots and picked up a few more picks - than maybe because you don’t have a Sewell type player on the board (unfortunately he probably isn’t in this draft anyway). Simmons is my go big or go home candidate at 10 - otherwise I’m in camp of go dline if you think blue chip is there or move down and try and grab a high end guard prospect and live with Braxton with goal of making interior strong.
  4. Damn it. I wanted the Lakers to get Vooch. Hornets made a good deal and Lakers are betting on Williams being healthy (he’s young and ascending but hurt a ton) but I wanted Dalton from Lakers and was hoping Bulls might even get a 2nd round pick to boot.
  5. 2yrs 20M total - that is a deal I can get on board with. Seems like the type of move that if it backfires and his leg blows up, it doesn't break the cap, but if it works out and he has a good full season and trends the right way - he helps other players, but at the same time, he probably has real upside as a trade asset depending on where they are in the rebuild.
  6. I prefer assets - but I will admit that Lonzo is a really good player and probably the type of guy that makes it easier to develop younger players around him. What did they pay him?
  7. I would have done that for Vuc..perfect move - get a first while taking on a bad contract. Than try and restore Middleton's value a bit and flip him next deadline when he's an expiring.
  8. Exactly - it’s now or never. His value won’t be any higher except maybe in his final year when he is an expiring… Matas has a career game today. They need lottery luck. Cooper would change the whole dynamic!
  9. Johnson reported similar. Hopefully we see something rally. Feels like right time to sell Vuc. I’m not expecting a ton but free up cap space and get a pick or two and than use cap space to help in short term asset accumulation. My hope is a future first plus a short term bad contract for Vuc….
  10. It’s where I am good with investing in a back in rd 2/3 as long as Bears address oline with 2 of first 4 picks plus two free agent starters (one center and one guard). Clearly all of this gets easier if Cunningham goes to Jags and / or Bears move down. But let’s say Bears sign Kelly or Falcons center and blow their wad on Smith from Chiefs. Take the bama guard in first round (or whatever other guard you have). You will have upgraded entire interior, Wright is ascending and Jones is passable and probably plays better with more talent around. Add more depth picks. You than get a dlinemen with one of 2nd rounders and than maybe grab RB and TE (or db or whatever) with next 2 picks (or a wideout or another guard). I think Bears have a good chance to fill a ton of holes if they do this right and some chips fall their way.
  11. I think the potential LT might be in question. If you don't grade one out - than Bears might be able to move back 7-9 picks, still get a strong interior prospect and pick up an extra 2nd rounder. But overall I align on your principals and I might argue they could go 2 free agents - one being a big time guy, the other potentially an upgrade at center (which won't break the bank and just might be worth doing - especially seeing this is supposedly NOT a strong center draft).
  12. Tremendous news - he was always my preferred get.
  13. If you told me they paid Trey Smith 23M a year I'd be absolutely good with these first few picks. I won't pretned to know how good they will be - but right positions in general given depth of the draft. Than find a center prospect and a TE given depth of TE in this draft. You can still sign a free agent center too - such as the Falcons center.
  14. Well the last one had some stacked teams and this one has always been s%*#.
  15. Let’s trade White to Magic for one of their first rounders and one of the first round picks this year or in last years draft (ideally DeSilva…but knowing nothing else take a flyer on Jett) plus a filler.
  16. They also get a 26M TPE. Knowing Bulls they won’t use it but I would think they could leverage it asap to help another te clear space and facilitate something and get some picks (even if it is buying 3 crappy for like the Suns did a week or two ago - stock up those picks cause you never know what happens and you at least can turn them into cheap depth). Now get rid of Patrick…albeit maybe if he plays like this off the bench they can pawn him off in the offseason. Good god just burn the whole thing down….
  17. This is true - albeit Bulls have far more resources which makes it even worse for how bad Bulls are ran. Knowing Bulls AK will get fired a few weeks after the deadline but they will let him be the one who starts the blow up…
  18. So I was in my car when the espn alert went through. I glanced at the text on my watch and was like oh s%*# - Bulls are getting Fox…alright let’s see what they are trying to do…. Than I turned on radio and realized I was wrong. I hate AK and everything about what they have done but at least this is starting to reset things. The pick they got off their own is worthless since they are likely going to talk but I guess this prevents them from messing up that and not even having a pick. Got to think Vuc ends up in Golden State or Lakers. What will be real interesting is what happens with White, Giddey, Ayo and Ball. Can they find ways to get some more picks or package them for a more intriguing long term candidate? Can they flip the guys they got? Maybe Collin’s or Huerter for more assets?
  19. This is huge for Lakers - get way younger which puts them in far better spot for when Bron retires.
  20. Blockbuster - Luka for AD
  21. Very good hire
  22. I agree with this - but Danny Ainge would make a deal like this, than figure out a way to get more for Beal a year from now. Maybe Bulls can do that but I doubt it. Have zero faith in AK or Reinsdorf owner franchised right now.
  23. It seems that way.
  24. Shaw and Allen would be great as coordinators.
  25. Flus is good DC hire but Cowboys are nuts. Jerry must just have wanted someone he could control?
