If you told me they paid Trey Smith 23M a year I'd be absolutely good with these first few picks. I won't pretned to know how good they will be - but right positions in general given depth of the draft. Than find a center prospect and a TE given depth of TE in this draft. You can still sign a free agent center too - such as the Falcons center.

Well the last one had some stacked teams and this one has always been s%*#.

Let’s trade White to Magic for one of their first rounders and one of the first round picks this year or in last years draft (ideally DeSilva…but knowing nothing else take a flyer on Jett) plus a filler.

They also get a 26M TPE. Knowing Bulls they won’t use it but I would think they could leverage it asap to help another te clear space and facilitate something and get some picks (even if it is buying 3 crappy for like the Suns did a week or two ago - stock up those picks cause you never know what happens and you at least can turn them into cheap depth). Now get rid of Patrick…albeit maybe if he plays like this off the bench they can pawn him off in the offseason. Good god just burn the whole thing down….

This is true - albeit Bulls have far more resources which makes it even worse for how bad Bulls are ran. Knowing Bulls AK will get fired a few weeks after the deadline but they will let him be the one who starts the blow up…

So I was in my car when the espn alert went through. I glanced at the text on my watch and was like oh s%*# - Bulls are getting Fox…alright let’s see what they are trying to do…. Than I turned on radio and realized I was wrong. I hate AK and everything about what they have done but at least this is starting to reset things. The pick they got off their own is worthless since they are likely going to talk but I guess this prevents them from messing up that and not even having a pick. Got to think Vuc ends up in Golden State or Lakers. What will be real interesting is what happens with White, Giddey, Ayo and Ball. Can they find ways to get some more picks or package them for a more intriguing long term candidate? Can they flip the guys they got? Maybe Collin’s or Huerter for more assets?

This is huge for Lakers - get way younger which puts them in far better spot for when Bron retires.

I agree with this - but Danny Ainge would make a deal like this, than figure out a way to get more for Beal a year from now. Maybe Bulls can do that but I doubt it. Have zero faith in AK or Reinsdorf owner franchised right now.

Flus is good DC hire but Cowboys are nuts. Jerry must just have wanted someone he could control?

I think it was what you said - now if he gets an offer from Seattle than maybe Johnson than has go ahead to also make an offer.

Talk about a home run opening day. Means nothing in long run but talk about nailing the press conference and the subsequent radio interviews.

Combine the above with say a big free agent oline signing (even if you have to overpay say the Chiefs guard) and signing the Lions center to a short-term deal (and draft his replacement in the 3rd - 4th round) and add at least one 1st or 2nd round pick on the oline to go with Wright and that is a better line. Bring back Pryor as a depth move and you still have Jones and Kiran, plus Bates I suppose (if you think he is healthy) and that is a much improved line and the interior would be pretty strong. You than can take one more bite at the apple in terms of pass rush too - maybe its a shorter term deal on Mack (or someone else - until you have enough draft capital) and than add a speedy wideout, certainly a running back (in the above scenario I would be on board with a RB in Rnd 2 or 3), a db or two and a dlinemen plus some more free agent moves and I'd feel like that is a HUGE step forward.

Alright - I'm going to go on a sidebar - but once the coaching staff is finalized, Bears focus has to be on the oline. From a way way too early perspective, I'm thinking Bears have significant work to do on the line(s) and are going to need to do it through a combination of free agency, the trade market, and the draft in a year where I don't know that the Bears will have a LT on the board worthy of the #10 pick and if they want to focus on oline they may need to actually move down to better align with positional value. So hypothetically - I'm thinking Bears trade down from 10 to 20 (this is hypothetical - not sure whether Broncos would be a fit), Bears would get 20 plus a 2nd & 4th to make up the difference in value (per Jimmy Johnson trade chart). That move gives you 20, plus 3 2nd round picks, your 3rd pick, and than the 4th rounder you got (since we traded ours for Keenan). With that - you now have quite a bit of ammo to handle the interior of the line plus add a potential skill position upgrade or two and some defensive candidates. You still have cap space and you have flexibility to make a deal. Say a strong guard is on the market - maybe you trade a 2nd rounder for the guard and a 3rd rounder?

Shoutong doesn’t make you a leader - how you set the standard and get players to buy in and how you hold them and your coaches accountable is how you are that. Being consistent - holding yourself to another standard - and your talent has to show off too…winning helps but you got to do that other stuff. Im excited - but like I want to see results.

I don’t know enough about them in that regard - but the staff is better already than it was under Flus. Johnson is a proven good offensive mind with playcalling experience and Allen is a two time head coach who has a history of being a good DC. If they get the Saints interim HC as special teams coordinator that is another solid experienced get. Flus meanwhile filled his defensive staff with position coaches and has far less depth. Now I don’t know how Johnson will do as head coach and none of his assistants are officially in but I’m hoping we see him pull a strong staff. I think his contract and message bears sent bringing him here is a good start though. I like how they aggressively handled this.

This shows they knew what they were doing. They knew what they wanted all along but did diligence and than struck. Is Dennis Allen really confirmed - that would be a great duo!

This 5 game losing streak against crap teams is such a blessing. Would think this would finally force the front office into a move to improve lottery position and start setting them up for future. And man, I always thought Pwill sucked but geeze does he suck.

George is a good dude to interview. I actually have come to appreciate (thus far) the process they have taken. Now I hope they actually hit on the hire.
