I saw Micah fielding grounders during spring train and he seemed to have very smooth hands. He's still learning 3rd, considering he is a former second baseman, but this guy and Valera are both really good 3rd base prospects. Last season was one of the best drafts for the Sox, position wise that I can think of. They did pretty good on the arms too, although I'm hoping for a real good arm draft this year.

I don't know what HSC has, but I'm talking about InDemand. That's on cable, right..? I had a cheater box at the townhouse in Alsip and I think that's what they called their "Pay per view" thing. Ya, its on Cable, but you can also get it on any satellite provider.

Well, I think it is good for the Sox to play against their AA team. I think they should of just played on game against Houston, played on Saturday against Birmingham and then headed to Kansas City where they had a few days to relax. I know the Angels don't go travelling around before the season starts. They usually play one game in LA, one game in Anaheim.

I think thats how it should be. The reasons salaries were so ridiculous were that guys like Loaiza, Rogers and Hitcock were getting 6 million plus or so and thats just ridiculous. Of course, I don't quite put Beltran in the same class as Thome yet.
-
Rex did a heck of a job on that one.
-
Yes it is, and in my opinion this move makes sense.

witesoxfan, you will get at least 120 Sox games. Could be more like 130 or so. Plus the playoff games

SN Report: Sports Authority Approves U.S. Cellular Name By Mario Scalise April 1, 2003 SoxNet.net The Illinois Sports Facilities Authority approved the naming change from Comiskey Park to U.S. Cellular Field on Monday, making the 20-year $68 million deal official. Following the approval, the White Sox revealed the rennovations that will be ready on opening day, Friday, April 4 against the Detroit Tigers. The renovations include three new video screens: One being a "state-of-the-art" scoreboard screen in center, which is almost twice the size of the one previous; along with two 300-foot-long LED video display screens along the front of the upper deck that will be the largest continuous video ribbon boards in MLB and the highest-resolution video ribbons in professional sports. Other changes to the ballpark are as follows: >A "fan deck" was built on the center-field concourse. The fan deck, which will be open to all fans, will consist of patio tables, food and beverages. >The outfield concourse canopy has been painted a dark gray, while pedestrian ramps and seating area concrete has been stained dark gray. >A brick overlay and stainless steel countertops have been added to the outfield and upperdeck concourses, matching the lowerdeck concourse renovations of last season. >Iron gateways and lamps were added above aisles in the outfield.

Damn it Rex, that sucked horribly. U just got that in in time too. 8 minutes till its the next day. Damn, you set us up, continuing with the gag, and then bam. Oh well, I hope the Sox read it and are all thinking that they were screwed and they are gonna just come out tomorrow and score 17 runs. I'll give ya credit though Rex, cause u suckered us good.

Thats what I wanted to see the whole time.

119 or something like that. I forget, they just automatically renew mine, and typically something goes wrong and they end up giving it to me for free.

Gary (cy young porzio) is in.

In his 2ND post in this thread, Rex said, "I think there is a 17 yr. old clubhouse helper that feels really bad right now." Gotcha.

What kid? Your lost me Rex.

It has to be bs, judging on the fact that they are basing everything on one day. It could of been a serious article, pointing out to those that are jumping off the skyscrapers after just one game just how the season isn't really over.
-
That was hillarious. I didn't catch todays show either. I slept in and then went to the beach and then work. I love spring break
-
Is that supposed to be a serious article? If so what a joke, and if its an april fools joke, I must of missed something.
-
Neverhad them, but If I get out to Birmingham this summer like I want to, then I'm gonna have to try some. I'm assuming they are from a place nearby the stadium?
-
Ya, forgot about that. You can also watch that, and they do another free preview right after the All Star Break.
-
Guys, you may see some new colors on THIS Board, as we are going to try to keep it around as long as possible before making the switch. For those reasons, I'm going to try and get some work on it tomorrow and work on sprucing up the colors. This probably won't be noticed for a few days and knowing me, it could take longer, but if anyone experiences any weird colors its cause I'm tinkering.
-
Are you serious on the Frank part? I swear, you must be setting me up for April fools here. If not, then I am going to take it as an excuse for why the Sox sucked it up this year. I'm also even more excited for Wednesdays games, cause I'm assuming they'll have the bats back. Either way, I'm a lot happier after reading this thread. You rock Rex
-
how are you watching that .. with 500 channels and over 50 of them with sports i dont have a single baseball game on tonite.............. Well, I just watched the Angel world series ceremony and now am watching them play the Rangers. I wish it were the Sox I was watching though
