Today's Game
-Daubach starts things off with a leadoff double; Aaron Miles pinch runs -Aaron Rowand (DH) sacrifices Miles to 3rd. It appears that Rowand's hand took a bit of the ball on the bunt. -Mario Valenzula hits an RBI double into the gap, tying the game at 8. -Borchard grounds out to 3rd. Wunsch is going to come back out in the bottom of the ninth. The game is tied at 8th.

Today's Game
-Wunsch walks the first guy he faces, so there are 2 on with nobody out. (Runners on 1st and 2nd) -Wunsch strikes out Jason Hart (One Out) Wunsch retires the final two, ending the inning. We now go to the top of the ninth.

#5 Dangelo Jimenez
The key stat that has baffled me is how much his stolen base numbers have dropped. This guy was a threat to steal every time he reached base before the injury and I don't think he really lost any speed. Last year, he wasn't running much at all, although he did have quite a few triples, which shows he's got some speed. I'd like to see him really work on getting more steals.

Today's Game
Kelly Wunsch is entering the ball game now. I got to say, even though this announcers suck. Listening to a game while typing up some homework is more relaxing then simply typing up some homework.

Today's Game
8-7 Now. Ginter gave up a leadoff single and then Mark Textierra doubled the guy in. Ginter was hit on the leadoff single and now doctors are checking him out; They just pulled him.

Today's Game
Thats it, the two of them are obviously so good. How bout we just trade Magglio Well, I hope they both kick butt. I'd love to have Rowand, Borchard and Maggs all playing real good.

Rowand had an RBI Single in the inning and was on base for Borchards homer.

Which Mark?
I'm exactly your age, 19. I think there is a valid point though on this whole age thing. I see things exactly like you do Koch. I think that Prior is going to live up to the hype. My big reason behind it isn't from what the scouts say, but what my eyes say. Watching this kid pitch he's just phenomenal. Look at that motion and tell me anyone in the majors that has as fluid a delivery. Its just beautiful. I know Van Poppel was labeled with all that hype, but I don't think he was considered the best college pitcher ever. Prior does some amazing things, and the most amazing thing about him is his CONTROL. Most of these guys that recieve all this hype don't have good control and control is probably the easiest way, aside from injuries for a pitcher to fail. If you can't throw strikes and spot your pitches, you'll never be a great pitcher. Prior is so stinking young and already has pin point control. Then you look at his stuff and he has an exploding fastball, made so much more effective with his pin point control. He also throws a plus change and curve and can spot all 3 of those pitches.

Yep, it was 15-1 (I just checked to confirm it). And yeah, it seems like it was against Washburn. I went with a friend of mine who's a quasi-Sox fan, and he kept wanting to leave early when the game was no longer in doubt, but I refused. I was enjoying the beating far too much, and it was my only chance to see the Sox play that year, so I wasn't going to miss a minute of it. When Mags hit his 2nd HR of the game in the 8th or 9th inning, I remember standing up and clapping and how quiet the rest of the place was. Definitely a great moment for me. I wasn't going to leave either. I had just sat through so many losses agains the Angels. Every year they kick the crap out of the Sox. Usually the Sox take early leads and then would blow every game and end up giving up a ton of runs. It was one of the rare times that I could really see the Sox just pummell the Angels and I loved it.

Today's Game
White Sox go down in order in the Top of the 4th. Borchard flied out to deep center and Armando Rios hit a line shot but got out.
-
Today's Game
Rios makes a run saving catch in the outfield. Rangers are up 7-1 though. They scored a run in this inning off of Josh Stewart.

Today's Game
I'll give Wright some more time. We don't know if he's working on a new pitch or something along those lines. Spring training numbers don't necessarily mean much, but I'd rather have everyone pitching awesome.

I'm so stoked about the Sox coming out here TWICE this season. First the Dodgers in June (6-8), then the Angels in August (11-14). Last year's 19-0 loss to the Angels was absolutely horrid. I was at work at the time, so I was listening on the radio, and listening to the homer Angel broadcasters going crazy was making me want to die. Hopefully we'll fare better in '03. I was at the 15-1 MAULING we gave them back in 2001 (Mags went deep twice and MB threw a 91 pitch CG, or something like that), so if all goes according to plan, there will be a repeat performance of that. I was at both of those games Clujer. I thought it was 19-1 for some reason, but now that you said it, it was 15-1 or so. I remember Rowand had a homer and like a double in the game too. It was just an awesome game and I think we beat up on Jarrod Washburn that day. The same guy who pitched in the 19-0 whooping last year. I'm like you though, I can't wait to see the Sox play in LA and then again in August.

Baseball America Top 30 List?
Yan could shoot up the charts this year if his bat develops. Thats a big if though. Hudler should get a really good look at him this year though. Him and Guillermo Reyes will be a pretty fun middle infield to watch, imo.
