He knows better then to f*** with SnR! If he ever tuned in, he'd realize it the jerry springer show uncut. lol Ahhhhhhh............ I'm putting together SnR intros now . Trying to track down all teh highlights and put them on the site so people can have some memories of last year. Damn that was so fun last year. i cant wait to start it up again. I talked to JoeyRehab (joebatters) We're going to bring him back , but he knows he's going to catch hell all season long. He's sober now and doing well. Its great to hear Joebatters is doing better. Hope to hear all ya guys doing Sox games real soon.

I can't disagree with Manny, he's a heck of a player. Is he going to be Dh'ing in beantown this year?

I have always thought Paint It Black should be one of the Sox songs.

If thats the case then why in the hell have Olivo on the major league roster. JM is a deuche if he lets Olivo rot on the bench. Its known Alomar can't start a full season and KW signed him to play maybe 60-70 games. Trust me, KW will have a little talk with JM, cause there is no way he's gonna let Olivo rot on the bench. If he does, then that would be the final straw. If in fact Olivo is the starter, then it will be yet another time JM opens his big mouth and says crap about a players role that won't come true.

If it is a Sox it will be Jon Rauch and I do like his chances. Otherwise, I'll go with one of the Devil Rays outfielders.
-
I can't tell with him sitting down, but Franks always looked in pretty good shape to me.
-
expects 3-4 allstars from the sox 1)mags 2)colon 3)MB 4)open paulie I'm thinking Koch could be there, and then maybe Pk or Frank.
-
I like Sandy way more then MJ, because the pitchers like Sandy a whole lot. The flaw is he can't stay healthy. Good thing Olivo is our starter and I think he will do good.

I'd count on fizer. The guy has a ton of heart and has played his butt off. He took so many shots from the media, getting benched this year, but he came through it and was playing awesome. I'll miss watching him, he's one of my favorite Bulls. The Bulls need to concentrate on solving there shooting guard situation. Can Erob do it, cause Hassell isn't a starter. Then when it comes to the big men, Curry and Chandler are going to probably avg 30 minutes or so for the rest of the season, just my guess though.

Jordan could still probably score 26 or so a game if he wanted to. He doesn't want to though. He wants to be a guy that helps the younger players as he can make them all so much better with his passing etc. He still looks very similar, but you can see the rust and age. Still, near the end with the Bulls, he wasn't exactly dunking all over the place, he was more of a shooter, and he was still the best player in the NBA then.

Welcome aboard Shamrock and thanks for the link. I actually thought it was all right. What he said made sense, minus the fact that he thinks Willie Harris is our starting 2nd baseman.

Man, Tejada is one of my favorite players in the majors. The kid has a strong arm, good glove and good range. He's way better then Jose defensively, and lets not even talk about his offensive abilities, cause he's huge at the plate. I'd stick him in the 2 hole where he'd get a large arsenal of fastballs. If we were to get him, I'd assume we'd give up Carlos and Manos and something else. Then stick Daubach in left, which gives left handed pop in the back part of the lineup. The move would definately make sense. Of course, the key is what it would cost, cause I couldn't see the Sox signing him, Colon, and Buerhle. Pk, and Maggs are signed for a bit longer and we will have Buerhle, but he'll be making more no matter what. Still, Colon's contract won't go up too much. He already makes 8.25 million, and I can't really see him getting more then 12. I'd look for the Sox to give him a 3 yr, 36 mill contract or a 4 yr/48 at maximum. They seem very interested in resigning him. That alone would increase the payroll 4 mill though. Buerhle will increase it probably another 3-4 million as his will go up a lot next season, as long as he keeps pitching awesome. Then you look at Tejada, who made like 3.6 mill or so last year. His would probably go up a whole lot, towards 8 million, but if he hit the open market, it could go up even more. If they signed him long term, that would add another 5 million over what they paid him the year before. Thats around 13 mill more then the year before. Then the Sox make a decision on Big Frank and Carlos Lee, if both of them go, then you easily can afford this move and resigning everyone else. I also see the Sox raising the payroll next year if the team is very sucessful. The key is a couple sucessful seasons in a row and the Sox are just due and they got the team that can do it, but some things will have to fall into place. As far as why the deal would make sense now, simple, if we move Manos, then his contract is probably a bit more then Tejada's. I don't think the A's are looking to dump payroll, but rather to find a replacement who won't make as much during free agency. I'm assuming the deal would cost you Valentin, maybe Lee (I don't know if they want him or if they want his salary) and if they don't go after Lee, either one real good position prospect; not Webster or Borchard; and one good pitching prospect, maybe Malone. The deal would definately be worth it, because Tejada is fantastic. I'd love to find a way to get him, without giving up anyone other then Jose and some minor leaguers that wouldn't ever reach the majors; but it is Billy Beane and I don't see it happening. I do think he'd like getting Jose in return for Tejada, because it gives him a guy whose contract is up and can produce solid power numbers.

Since your familiar with the area, how do the fans support these teams? I think the Redskins got a ton of fans, but I don't know about the rest.
-
I'm pretty sure it will be a one day type thing. I'm gonna be like you though and try to make it to all 3 games, but I'll probably only go to two.
-
Very sad indeed. My prayers go out to the families and friends of thos that were harmed.
-
I think Mark is a very confident pitcher, just doesn't want to start something in the clubhouse. Also, I think the Sox are very serious at picking up another starter or going with possibly Josh Stewart and carrying 2 lefties in the starting rotation, and if they do that, then Buerhle would have to be the 2, cause JM doesn't want to throw 2 lefties back to back.
-
Well, if Harris rocks at the start of the season, Rowand will lose his starting job. I'd love it if Harris got it into gear, cause him and Jimenez at the top of the lineup would be sweet. We'd have some serious speed.
-
Kevin Towers rocks. He knows minor leaguers and typically pulls off very good deals, despite working with no payroll.
-
I'm with you all on that. One thing, the hosting team should always have a player make the all star team.
-
Disagree; Alou has proven he can put up huge numbers, health is the only Xfactor with him. With Carlos, he's yet to prove anything.
-
I definately disagree with this in many regards. Now I do think he's broughten up some big time weaknesses. I'm not comfortable with Manos and his high k totals and low batting average in the two hole; not to mention his low obp. I love Jimenez but still, he's got a lot to prove. Then when it comes to center and catching, its something many others have questioned? One thing I do know is that Olivo is a big time defensive catcher and may be better then many catchers in the majors in his Rookie season, but I can't guarantee anything yet. Still, that aside, Frank, Magglio, Pk, Caballo...thats a very strong middle of the lineup and i don't care what handed they are. Bottom line is, good hitters will hit a pitcher whether they are right or left handed. You don't hit for a high avg, as a rigthy if you can't hit other righties, since the majority of major leaguers are righties. An all lefty lineup can get whipped up on when they face a lefty pitcher, but thats simply because since they started playing ball they don't face as many lefties and aren't used to them. Righties still have an advantage on righties, but when you got good hitters, they'll get it done. Also, Crede won't have too much pressure and if he keeps up what he did last season, it should be sweet. The last player to make a callup late in the season and hit like Crede hit was Magglio and he just kept getting better. I hope Crede can do the same.

You may end up getting lucky, it doesn't look like Heather is around today. Trust me Doub, your team is far better then mine. Cal State Fullerton blows at basketball. Good think they rock at baseball

Whimpy and Hawk are awesome. I also think Steve Stone is an awesome announcer and would be a great pitching coach.
