If the rumors that Jerry Manuel all but guaranteed Daubach a roster spot are true, I don't think there will be any space on the Roster for Borchard. I think Borchard will start the season on the farm, and maybe by the All Star break, if it appears as if one of our OFers is incompetent, then he'll get the callup. I'm thinking Rowand will start the season on the DL, with Harris the backup centerfieler. The most likely scenario is Rowand starting with Harris backing up or Harris starting with Rowand backing up while he gets to 100%.

Rosenthal responds to the Twins as #1 overall

I think everyone is underestimating the Twins rotation. Lohse pitched really well late last season. He looked great against the Sox especially. They also have Radke whose good when healthy, Joe Mays and Eric Milton as well as Rick Reed. None of them wow ya, but they are all quality pitchers. -
Great Story. Now I am afraid that Georgie Porgie is going to get a hold of this and like the idea.

I hate WCIU games. I can never get them, even with MLB Extra Innings. As far as the internet radio, I heard it was good, but you may be able to catch SnR depending on if they are doing those games that are on WCIU. Sox and Roll (SnR) is a internet station ran by Red Pinstripes, Guido, and Joebatters. They can give ya more info on that.

They will sign him next offseason.

I'm with you. I think Borchard makes the team after having a monster spring and ends up hitting .265 with 20 hr's and 65-70 rbi's. Joe won't wow anyone this year, but he'll learn a lot and shorten his swing enough. Then the next year he'll really improve. I just got a hunch Joe makes this club out of spring. I can't explain why, I just see him having a great spring. He's a really smart kid who knows what he has to do. He has a good eye, which tells me he can shorten his swing at the major league level. I also think he's made good progress with the swing. Either way, he's up here by June 1st. Jon Rauch, Joe Crede and Jimenez will also have pretty good years. Olivo will likely struggle, but play very good defense and show growth. Garland and Wright will also grow, but I think they are already pretty good.

The prospects that are going to be ready soon are why I believe we are going to dominate the central for the next 10 years. Hopefully with Jim and co. leading the way. but Jim will prolly win 20 games, a cy young, and leave the organization, because JR wont pay him the money he's worth. Cleveland's farm system is better than ours, as of now. Too many high level prospects (in AA, AAA) to pass up, compared to our high level prospects who are in A ball. The Expos really helped the Tribe out.

He's a solid hitter. He has a ton of speed and hit like .304 or so in AA last year with some pop. I don't think he'll win any batting titles, but his best trait is his arm. He has an absolute rocket and could win numerous gold glove awards. Plus, catchers don't need to be great hitters. An ocassional clutch hit, shutting down the opponents running game, and calling a good game are whats really important.

I'd like picking up Rogers. I don't know if he can still do it, but he pitched pretty good last year. Plus, having another veteran, this one in the back of the rotation couldn't hurt. Then Rauch could start the season in AAA and come up later in the season. Although I love the idea of getting to watch Rauch pitch.

God, I hope that will be one of the games that is blacked out in my area

I got a Belle autograph and I'll never forget it. I think it was right after he signed his new deal. It was the first time I was ever at spring training and he just started signing so I ran down and waited behind like 4 people. The person in front of me had an Indians hat on and an Indian card. He refused to sign it for him and then got all upset and swore at the guy. I was all worried thinking he was going to be an ass to all. I get up there and he was a really cool nice guy. He just told me he didn't like the Indians, but was excited to be on the Sox.

I get suckered into that MLB Extra Innings package every year. I think with the 130 bucks or whatever it costs, you should be allowed to get every game. They shouldn't black out the Wednesday games.

Very Cool. I think he has a good point when it comes to there middle infielders. There shortstop Guzman didn't have too hot of a year. Still a lot of there players did. -
I'm already getting used to calling it the Cell.

most of the pitching prospect are about 1 yr from being ready, except for maybe rauch. Well Almonte is ready. I think Sanders is ready too. Munoz is ready, but since he threw so much the Sox would be best off working him slowly this year.

http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=3106 I don't know what time it is, all it said was it was on Wednesday.

My favorite part about this contract is how its the first corporate deal structured to the point that the owner can't pocket the money or say he spent it on players. He has to use the money towards renovating the stadium, which assures sox fans that the park will look a lot different in the coming years. I wonder what the plans will be for this offseason and the next, cause once 2005 roles around, they will be done. Homer porch, redone upper deck; What else?

I am starting to like this Suggs guy and I also like Newman from Kansas State. Either one of them would really help the defense; The Bears could then draft someone like Suggs from Virginai Teach (Rb) in the 2nd round or go with Ragone or Simms or Bollder in the 2nd and then take Mcgahee in the 3rd. You deal a 7th for Kordell and redo the contract and then you have Kordell, Miller, and a pick. Thats 3 qb's, you have a stud rb, a stud de or cb and money to go out and sign someone like David Boston. You may even have enough to get Colvin resigned as well.

Thats pretty good Sec. As far as that whole phone scam, I can't believe that hitting #90 would do anything. Thats something anyone could hit on accident. Maybe it works if your both using the same system at the same school or something, but I don't got to worry about that. If your worried about a scam, be aware if people call you claiming they are from a major company and that you have an overdue bill and they ask you for your credit card number. This happened to me once, but the idiots called at like 3 am so I knew it wasn't some company. Plus, you never give you credit card number out over the phone, unless you call the person/store.

In the very last sentence were you referring to Guerrier or Munoz? Also, do you get to watch quite a few Birmingham games? Thanks for all your comments on those prospects. I liked Guerrier in spring last year. I was angered when they dealt him for Marte and Edwin Yan, but in retrospect it looks like a good move. Marte is filthy while Yan has amazing speed and could turn into a pretty good 2nd baseman, although he has a ways to go.

Welcome aboard Hudler. Or should we call ya the wonder dog This year the Barons could be fun to watch if there pitching comes through like I think it will.

I'll have to check that out. What time does Instant Replay come on? Thanks for the info John.

It always seemed like MJ looked to walk and would just hope they would throw balls.
