Harold Baines.
The thing is what can you do if the guy hasn't officially retired. Its not like the Sox could of said hey, why don't you play another year for us even though your over the hill and need to retire. They let him go and gave him the shot to play for another team, which is exactly what he wanted.

Whats Everyones Favorite Band?
I also like Zepplin, Hendrix, The Doors, and for more recent stuff I'd have to say Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Strokes. Eminem is good, but I'll give it up for Ludicrous and Big Tymers, etc.

Jordan Playing His Final Season
Rodman is crap...although he helped the Bulls get another 3 rings.

Whats Everyones Favorite Band?
Not the Get Up Kids....I saw them in a concert with Weezer and Ozma down in San Diego and ugggh... Well, they have really changed their style from when I heard them. They used to be very very heavy and now they are like the exact opposite.

Frank Thomas
I'm happy keeping Carlos as long as he can play 60-70% of his games at the DH position. Otherwise, I think its pretty well known the Carlos is going to be pumped from the outfield when Joe Borchard comes here.

Sn Report: Sox Sign Wunsch To One Year Contract
3 yrs is fine. We can always talk to him about reupping during the final season or so.

Harold Baines.
The problem is, Harold never said he wanted to go. He still feels he can play at the major league level. You can't really have a retirment ceremony when a guy isn't ready to hang it up. Still, they aught to have a Harold Baines day this year. I'd say they could retire his number, but they already did that a few years ago.

1978-1981 Sox Jerseys
Welcome aboard, hopefully one of the many posters that are from the Chicago area can help you out. Me, I don't know a thing about game used jerseys other then the fact a player wore them during a game.

Jordan Playing His Final Season
He's announced that he will hang it up for sure at the end of the season. I say its about time you piece of crap Michael. I used to think a lot more highly of you, now you really screwed things up by coming back. It wasn't your basketball skills, but all the crap you have been hiding in your life. You did a great job of it. Of course I think many now know that you retired the first time because of your gambling problems that supposedly led to the death/murder of your dad. Man, the media does a great job hiding things when your winning championships. I won't ever forget all those championships, but you no longer rank up their on my list of idols, like you did when I was a kid. I always thought you were an amazing player and you didn't get into trouble like so many others. Still, your better then most, it ain't like your out beating women or anything. Now get the hell off the basketball court and get back to screwing up the Wizards. GO BULLS GO!!!

Frank Thomas
I just don't think Borchard is ready. He strikes out way too much, and their will be nothing better for him other then learning how to shorten his swing at the minor league level. I'd give him at least half a season in AAA, until he comes up. He said that he wasn't ready himself. I like Joe a lot, but we got time, especially with Lee their for a while. I am willing to deal Lee though and he will be moved if Thomas is back.

THE PESSIMISM MUST END
I was thinking the same thing. That has to be the quote of the year or at least the month.

Frank Thomas
First off, let me say welcome aboard, its always great to have another die hard Sox fan here. Secondly, I think Thomas is already working his butt off as his motivation is all the heat he's taken from the fans this past season. Supposedly he's been in Vegas working his butt off getting into great shape and he's supposed to meet his former hitting coach as well. I think Thomas will be back. Of course it would be a great pickup for the Tribe, since they would need a first baseman, the thing is, they don't want to spend a penny on any veterans other then Thome because he's loved in the city and I think they know they won't get him. The just have to make it look like they tried.

Yanks Close To Acquiring Bartolo Colon
The Expos are denying it, but the package is expected to be Orlando Hernandez, Nick Johnson and Juan Rivera. A comparable package by the Sox would be Wright, Carlos Lee, and Jeff Liefer. Well, I think Wright ranks over Hernandez, plus he makes less money, while Lee ranks over a prospect, although Rivera is damn good, and then Liefer evens it out. Although, someone like Willie Harris could be involved instead of Liefer. That way the Expos have a replacement for when they deal jose Vidro. Oh well, it would be a great move by the Yanks as they'd get a lot younger. Of course Rivera should be playing in left for them for the next 10 years so I don't think they should trade him. Deal Johnson, he's over-rated, plus they have Giambi, but keep Rivera.

Anyone seeking Buehrle, Ordonez, Konerko jerseys...
Just take one of Mckay, change the letters to Ordonez or something and then tell everyone its game used. Its not like you'd be lying

Konerko
Maggs is still locked up for 2 years so he isn't going anywhere. He seems very happy in Chicago and I think Buerhle is pretty happy as well, but Buerhle will look to see if the Sox bring in some better players. Still, we got his rights for a while, so I'm not concerned. Its not like were the Royals. Typically JR doesn't have a tough time resigning his younger players. I know it happens everyonce in a while, but he never hesitated in giving guys like Parque, Sirotka, Ray Ray(When he was younger), and even Maggs and PK very fair contract extensions.

Sn Report: Sox Sign Wunsch To One Year Contract
Trust me, he's going to be signing most likely by December 7th. I smell 5 mill a year for about 3 yrs. Thats really a fair deal for both sides to me. Buerhle gets a lot considering the Sox don't really have to negotiate with him, while the Sox are making him happy which puts them in better position to keep him.

Orioles Expected to Hire Schueler as GM
No, but many seem to think JR is willing to spend some of that money since its deffered, but I don't really buy that. Cause if thats the case, then he won't spend a time when all that deferred money is due. We really could use an owner that really wanted to win. I'm not asking for even an 80 million payroll, but a guy thats willing to spend 70 million if the team was on the brink and then spend the money to keep that team together.
