  1. The longer the O's wait to hire Schueler, the better the chances are of him coming back or at leasts thats how I percieve it.
  2. If thats the case John, let me assure you that HSC, Michelle, is one of the smartest Sox fans I've ever seen and she's never just made up a rumor. This is about the first time she's ever even hinted about something like this.

They lost to an Iowa State team that at one point was ranked in the top 10 and it was a game that Iowa blew. I'm glad Vince is on my side with this one. Vince, you think Iowa would beat Ohio State?
  4. Damn You Mark... I don't want to show off my guns to everyone.

Ya, some of the computer rankings actually have USC rated #1 which is ridiculous. I think USC is a great team, but I say the same thing to them, they should of taken care of business on their 2 losses.
  6. Huh, you lost me on this subject.

The big reason is that typically when you draft pitchers, many starters end up being converted to closers for whatever reasons. A lot of the time its because they don't have the stuff to be a starter. Other times they have one or two great pitches, but not the complimentary ones, so they are converted to reliever. Lastly, in the Sox case, they have just acquired a lot of them via salary dumps. Ring was about the only one I can think of drafted as a closer. Otherwise Gary Majewski was once a starter and then the Sox converted him to reliever, which is the case with many. Others were starters in college and eventually got converted. It just tends to be the way things work out. Plus, KW seems to have an idea, that he wants to have tons of arms whether it comes to the pen or starting. We also have many top top starting pitching prospects like Kris Honel, Jon Rauch, Felix Diaz, Brian West, Ryan Wing, and Brandon Phillips in the minors. I left many out.
  8. Gesser ain't bad, I just love this crop of qb's. Palmer, Ragone, Banks, and Leftwich. The first 3 I like the most I think, mainly because I only hear others rant and rave about Leftwich, I haven't seen enough about him to rate him. Gesser is good though, more likely a 3rd round pick along with Simms.
  9. Well Mark...What do ya think of my avatar.

What the hell are they thinking to put a 2 loss USC team ahead of the Iowa Hawkeyes who may be the best team in the Big 10 and in my opinion are the best team in the big ten. BCS = Big Freaking Joke.
  11. Its about time for mine to be released.
  12. you can't improve on perfection I got news for ye.....Batman and Robin were partners in another way..... a "gay" way. By having that represent you.... it might give people like Jason Gage the wrong impression. Haaaa.
  13. Ya I Liked that comparision. I only heard good things about Whitaker. I never really saw him during the prime of his career though, so I can't really say much about him. I saw enough of Ryno or at least can remember more about Ryno.
  14. I really like Valentine. I sure hope his arm is ok cause he really struggled in that limited action down in the AFL.
  15. I forgot all about German. Either way, as long as we don't give up one of our good arms I'll be happy.
  16. Ha Ha Ha Gary, you may get one of those if we do good work on the airwaves.
  17. Isn't that what Club Murcielago is
  18. I loved the way he could get into players heads. He was a truly amazing defensive player and rebounder, and he was even a decent scorer at one point. Dennis is a smart guy, who just does stupid things, or what I would consider stupid at least.
  19. I thought in one of them they were ranked ahead of Michigan while the other they were ranked behind. Maybe I was looking at an old poll. Either way I disagree.
  20. I'd check monster.com or hotjobs.com as well as check the Tribune as well as Sun Times. I'm not really familiar if their is a local Chicago Website that checks for jobs, but their may be something. Also, call big time companies that you'd think would have use for an engineer and simply ask if they have any openings. Plus, ask co-workers and such, they may have tips on a company thats hiring engineers since most of them probably are in your field as well. Hopefully things work out for ya Fanof14
  21. As far as the Sox go. I'd like to see them pick up one starting pitcher. I'd also love to see the Sox dump Jose Valentin and bring back Ray while moving Jimenez to short. I can't stand Manos and I like Hummell and Harris, but I don't know if either is ready and I love Jimenez. Next, I'd hope that the Sox will bring in Hollandsworth. I'm impartial on whether Frank stays or goes, but I really want Caballo back. I'm really changing tune on this a lot, but the guy really matured last year and I think it will show in this years stats. Then Hollandsworth will beat out Liefer for the starting left field job. Next up, I wish for Borchard to figure things out quickly and to dominate the major league level while helping push the Sox to the World Series. As far as what I want for XMAS? I want my truck to finally sell so I can get a car where I don't get screwed on gas every time I fill up. Other then that, I haven't even thought about what I'm going to want for XMAS. I do know I'm gonna get my dad tickets to the Giants Dodgers game in San Fransisco so we can see their new stadium. He's a die-hard Dodger fan. This is going to be his birthday and Xmas gift cause Its gonna cost me for the hotel and that crap and I'm just a poor college student.
  22. I don't know whether Ryno deserves the hall or not. Personally I say he could go, mainly because second base isn't what you would call a position where many good offensive players have played and he was definately one of the best offensive second baseman in his era and in major league baseball history. Since his retirement offense has really changed and his stats wouldn't even hold up when compared with people like Soriano or Alomar, but hey, you can't rate a guy like Sandberg on whats going on right now, but what went on in his generation and the previous ones.
  23. As you get more posts your rank changes.
  24. The one thing I like so much is that KW has not only got the system loaded with very good starting prospects, and very good position prospects, but we have to be the deepest organization when it comes to relieving prospects. Ring is nasty as is Munoz. Plus we have Majewski, Valentine, and Almonte and then some other guys like Sanders, Meaux, etc. KW hasn't done a great job at the big league level, but I will not deny this guys sucess at the minor league level. Like him or not, I just try to see things from a rational point of view, trying to be as unbias as I can be.
  25. I wish the White Sox had the trib's management. They may of been cheap for a long time, but over the past 3 yrs they've opened their wallets and let Mcphail and now Hendry run the show.
