QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 29, 2013 -> 12:50 PM) Chris Broussard saying Collins is living in sin and rebelling against God. Oh brother. Reason #1000 as to why Broussard is a tool.

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 29, 2013 -> 08:02 AM) Well game 6 isn't til Thursday. Hopefully, he'll make it back for that. Lets just win in 5.

Since Jan. 1, the Bulls are 27-12 with Hinrich and 5-13 when he is sidelined.
-
Losing Hinrich is a huge huge blow.

Why is this thread in filabuster. Just wondering?

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 27, 2013 -> 02:38 PM) NBA officiating is more entertaining than the actual game. The officiating was down right brutal in OT. Bulls were completely robbed. Thankfully they overcame it. Reasons like this is why I've always wondered why teams never liked Nate. You are down big...you bring him in and say go for it. He either lights it up or you stink and lose anyway. Not many guys in the league can score in buckets like he can. That said, you know you also have to be prepared to give him the quick hook. Yesterday's press conference was the most complimentary I've ever seen Thibs in regards to Nate and even then it is a very very minimal compliment. Thibs cracks me up. Hell of a win. Still pathetic how they closed at the end of the 1st half. Changed the course of the game.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 08:24 AM) I think Emery is never going to have popular fan drafts but especially this draft will be very solid overall. I hope a couple years from now we are just saying, in Emery we trust. I like the value of the late round picks and like the fact that he spent time drafting positions of need. Some very intriguing late round picks...hopefully we hit the jackpot on one of them but I also damn well hope we took advantage of our 1st two picks and hit it with them. Need contributions from our picks and I also hope last years picks take big steps forward with a full off-season. That includes Hardin.
-
Fills a need. Both picks filled needs. Not sure on the value side but if they pan out, you don't think twice. No deying Long is a legit talent.
-
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 26, 2013 -> 02:16 PM) This is not pointed out enough. Angelo went from a very good draft guy to a guy that drafted very specific talent people, as soon as Lovie got his big deal. I've always thought Angelo was a very good talent evaluator and to be frank a pretty good GM.

Dang...they made that nerve wrecking at the end. Nice win though. Strong defensive performance and Boozer/Noah really stepped it up. Hinrich with another elite defensive performance.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 25, 2013 -> 07:35 PM) I have to think they could have traded down 15 spots and gotten long Casserly thought Long had a late 1st round grade. I was surprised at what I thought was a reach, but sounds like Bears liked him a lot. He's got the right build and good athletism. Very raw though and I think they could have moved down, especially since there were other quality prospects on the board. That said, if Bears wanted a guard, this was there best shot cause there wouldn't have been s*** around at 50.

I'd have zero problem with Manti. LB is a big need going forward and Manti will be a good player.

So I think we are going to buy an Ipad to serve as a baby monitor (vs. buying an independent baby monitor). It will serve two purposes...one our entertainment and eventually our kids...and 2 a baby monitor (which can be synched to our laptop, iphone's, etc). I have never looked into one before and I'll ultimately end up googling some stuff too, but is a new one coming out soon. Not sure I'd buy the new one...but figure I'd get the price cut on the older version.

What a fun game. Nice job Bulls. Hinrich had a studly effort on Deron. Defense was just lockdown. Boozer with a great game. Noah was a beast and props to Rose. He did a nice job getting in the guys ears and cheering. Secretly I hope that it also gets him more into the game and hopefully more willing to get on the court. Great job Bulls!!! Belinelli was total horses***. Single handedly looked like he wanted to cost the Bulls the game with his selfish offense.
-
Thanks guys!!! Definitely feeling older, haha.
-
I don't even get how rose can look his teammates in the eye. You have Noah playing on one leg (dude is a f***ing man), Gibson rushing back to play, Belinelli isn't 100%, Hinrich is beat up. It makes me sick to see Rose cut some jokes on the sideline. I won't write-off the series just yet. This Bulls team is very up and down. Tough to win though when the other team has the 2 best players on the court. Deng better step up cause he was absolutely terrible yesterday. Boozer was good. Defensively Hinrich and Nate were absolutely atrocious.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 09:10 PM) You would have never signed him, I remember you hating him 8 years ago. I've also felt OBP is overrated if you can't hit. That said...I never saw this coming and I actually thought he was a decent fit at the time they signed him. They needed an impact bat with pop from the left side.
-
QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 12:05 PM) I think it's a badly-worded joke. He's asking which team holds the record for having the most number of speedy, left-handed outfielders with no power . The Sox have 2, Danks and Wise. Is this a Juan Pierre reference? Wise has pretty good pop (as does Danks). They certainly don't have "no power".
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 08:26 AM) For a guy who is older than Gordon Beckham and has a career .560 OPS, Jordan Danks gets an extreme amount of love around here. How does one conclude he is better than Wise? I don't know. Wise has proven to be pretty darn solid off the bench. Knows how to handle a stick, can play all 3 positions in the outfield, solid baserunner. Danks has some tools but in reality he'll never be anything more then a Dwayne Wise anyway. And this is coming from a guy that likes Danks.
-
He'll be around a lot longer. I'd have dealt his ass after last year.
-
Q just flat out knows how to pitch. Changes speeds well...good 2 seamer. Changes planes. Really like Q.
-
Santiago has really good stuff for a guy that nobody outside of White Sox fans ever heard of. Command can be iffy but he should have a long career in the majors as a back of the rotation guy or a reliever.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 02:41 PM) Technically the bottom of the grand canyon is still at an elevation of about 2000 feet. You can still go a long way down from there. Haha...I didn't even have to read who posted this...as soon as I saw the content...I knew it was you Brian.
-
Way too early for the stats to mean anything, that said, nice that the Sox finally had an easy win. Oh and did I mention, I really like Q.

I know....and I'm sick of having that kind of news burried in another thread, that I may or may not skip over (since most of it is filled with a bunch of crap about how he's done or toast). This is actual news I would care about and its great that I can see it pretty quickly.
