  1. He can play the position. Lets hope he isn't Mike Williams. On tape he's a player. Put him with Marshall, Hester, and Bennett, and we have a good wide receiving corps.
  2. I think this is the pick they traded to Miami. I keep wondering why I see CHicago in this spot. Unless we all got it wrong and the Bears had kept the Miami pick. Hill and Martin were two guys I would have really liked but they are gone. I'd even think long and hard about Konz out of Wisconsin, just cause I think he'll be a probowl center.

    2012 TV Thread

QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) Fringe renewed for a 13-episode final season. http://tv.ign.com/articles/122/1222580p1.html Wohooo....sad episode of house last night, with Wilson being diagnosed with cancer.
  4. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 07:34 PM) The first round of the nfl no matter where isn't a crapshoot, if you don't draft a solid contributor to your team it's a 100% fail. All reports actually have the Pats/Packers being extremely interested in Shea. He would not have gotten past either of those teams.
  5. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 07:17 PM) emery praising mclellins ability to play ST. ST! wonderful If he did, that is f***ing terrible. I really don't like the pick we just made, but I'm hoping to be proven wrong.
  6. He's not a first rounder and I'm not taking a dude that high whose 28. That is 5 less years then I get out of a typical QB picked. On a sidenote...DirectTV is going to get my money. $199 for sunday ticket...yes please!
  7. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) I think insurance for our very injury prone OL, with definite future potential as a good starter, far outweighs the Bears desire to have a strong 3 DE rotation. The Bears didn't have 2 good ends last year. They definitely need an end opposite peppers. I'd have preferred Whitney but what do I know. Marinelli is a very good coach on the line and hoepfully he knows talent.
  8. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 07:06 PM) So when Chris Williams' back explodes or some other injury befalls him it doesnt turn into another circus on the offensive line. The line is better than people think. Plus guard is not a major need. Bears need an LT.
  9. Lost...I apologize, Kendall Wright goes now. I wonder if we will see our pick play LB and DE.
  10. QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 07:04 PM) Well, the Bears Facebook page scooped you by 3-4 minutes, according to the timestamp. Damn...you are on to me and how I figured it out, hahahaha. I was making a post on who I thought the Bears were going to pick and then saw the Bears post saying who they picked.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 07:02 PM) Is this a guy they could have moved down 5 slots and still gotten? They probably could have cut a deal with the Pats. Albeit, a lot of rumblings that the Packers and a few other late 1st round teams had him targeted. I think the Bears needed an end and if this is who they had graded out the best, then so be it. However, it would have been nice to slide down a few more picks, especially since I assume some other guys were still on the Board the Bears liked too.
  12. Not sure what to say about him. By the way, you like how I scooped that pick A little birdie told me something.
  13. Shea McClellin - DE - Boise S is the pick.
  14. Whitney is who I expect em to pick. I'd even consider moving down a few slots.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 06:49 PM) Wright is also still on the board. I think most are saying after his last couple workouts that he might not even go in the 2nd round.
  16. Reiff and Whitney might be there. I'd be happy with either of them.
  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 08:03 PM) A lot of it has to do with Ferentz being the guy that mainly handles their O Line. They've had numerous dlinemen and lbers taken in the draft as well. Iowa has been a very very good program, especially when you factor in the lack of high ceiling prospects they are able to recruit.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) Last 10 years in the Big Ten, teams producing the most NFL draft picks. I was REALLY surprised at #2 1. Ohio State: 66 total draft picks 2. Iowa: 42 3. Nebraska: 41 4. Michigan: 40 5. Wisconsin: 39 6. Penn State: 38 7. Purdue: 27 8. Michigan State: 25 9. Illinois: 22 10. Minnesota: 14 11. Northwestern: 13 12. Indiana: 12 The NFL really likes Iowa's guys. Lots of quality players have came out of there. Not a ton of stars, but good solid NFL players.
  19. Thanks for the bday wishes everyone. Actually ended up celebrating dinner with Shaquille O'Neal. He was getting up from the table my party sat at last night. He's one big dude.
  20. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) What exactly is wrong the DLine, did I miss something? Paea, Melton, Idonije, Peppers... I thought that was pretty good. The Bears have a pretty big need at end. They need to put someone opposite of Peppers who can help make an impact. Idonije is solid but he's not a strong pass rusher and if the Bears can find one, when you have Peppers on the opposite side, they could do some serious damage. I think the Bears will draft Mercilus (or a DE in the 1st). However, Floyd is always an option as is a tackle.
  21. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 07:20 AM) What Scouts are Saying: Nestor Molina http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article....articleid=16522 Those type of write-ups don't get me excited. I'm a stuff guy. Watching Sale last night and thinking...that was exciting.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 07:59 PM) At some point, it wouldn't hurt to give Doyle a shot in Stewart's place...and let Zach get some more innings under his belt as a starter again to work on things. Carlos Sanchez was 2 for 4, continuing his nice run of play (now at .347). Looks like Snodgress pitched a very good game, and Ravelo had 3 K's. Zach shouldn't be on a major league roster..I know that much.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 02:57 PM) A 9-0 game in the 5th inning is clearly more interesting than the Sox/Mariners game. If you throw this kind of game in any ballpark other than Fenway it clearly doesn't count. Total horses*** that I'm stuck watching the Red Sox vs. Yankees. They better switch in for Humber in the 8th.
