Help Me Play Ben Wallace
There is absolutely no way you'd even get a shot off STeve. None. If he wanted to, you'd be absolutely screwed. And given the call out, I got a feeling he'd also knock your ass out.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) I honestly wish she would have just injured my balls. It would have been better than that display last night. I know its my fault but that chick knew what to do and say to really break a brother down to nothing. And I know people will say I deserved it but I wasnt playing this situation as bad as it sounds. I just gotta move on now. What makes this worse is these are the first two girls in Shipps entire life that he had dooped into liking him.

By the way, I just want to say well done Lovie. That was a great job in your return as defensive coordinator against a very good Packer offense!!!

I'll love getting Brooks in there. Defense played great though...great. Offense had its problems but I expect things to get better. Cutler wasn't near as bad as some would indicate, especially given the pressure he was seeing all game. It will get better Bear fans, it will!!

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 09:16 AM) According to ESPN, the Bears have contacted Derrick Brooks about joining the team. I wonder if that means they'd put Briggs at MLB and move Brooks to his old weakside spot 'cause I don't think Brooks has enough left in the tank to cover all that area the Mike has to in our defense. But, I think he could still help us out. I'm all for Brooks. I think he'd help us a lot.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 05:03 PM) HE'S-A-FRESH-MEN, CLAP CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP! Brilliant coaching by Wies. Let's run the clock out by throwing 30 yard passes with 3 minutes left and watch them fall incomplete. We will be getting paid for 10 years while doing nothing. Weis cost them that game. Didn't help that we lost Allen and didn't have him available for the last couple plays and lost our stud f***ing WR. Tate really hurt them with some costly drops too. But that isn't an easy game. Michigan is a top 25 team and so is ND.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 09:21 PM) Getting up at 3:30 AM to tailgate. People waiting in line to get into the student section at 3 PM on Friday. Amazing, I'm not sure where all the excitement is coming from. All to see my Hawkeyes route you guys!!!! Wooo....Stanzi has all the tools, played like s*** in the 1st half (missed so many wide-open guys). Iowa just totally outclassed ISU, although your QB didn't help you guys at all. Wegner looks like a legit true freshman.

Has a KW mid-season move backfired more than Rios?
I backed the Rios move at the time, but the fact of the matter is he is getting paid a lot of money and needs to step the f*** up next season. If he doesn't, it will turn into a disaster of a move. I know Rios has the ability though and I have faith that he'll get his s*** together.

Sox Affiliates Ready for Postseason Play
Sox Affiliates Ready for Postseason Play By Jeff Buchanan SoxNet It has been a very successful year for White Sox Minor League affiliates with four of the organizations six U.S. based teams reaching the postseason. While the Great Falls Voyagers still have a couple of regular season games left to play before starting their playoff run, the Birmingham Barons, Winston-Salem Dash and Kannapolis Intimidators have all finished their regular season's and will play their first postseason games either tomorrow or Thursday...MORE

First Impression: Daniel Hudson By Mario Scalise I know Tuesday night's appearance wasn't Daniel Hudson's major league debut, but since I missed his first one over the weekend (two scoreless innings, btw), this will have to do...First Impression: Daniel Hudson

Octavio Dotel
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 7, 2009 -> 06:30 PM) So, since Tony Pena isn't Dotel Lite, what do we do with Octavio this offseason? I'm for resigning him, since he adds a strength to the bullpen, and Pena or Linebrink are the other options for the right-handed setup man. They will not offer him arb and he will be a UFA that will sign elsewhere, imo.

QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 11:09 AM) That's my point. Most teams that have conference schedules play relative lower talent teams too. Penn State has Northwestern, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota... USC has Washington, Washington St., Stanford, Arizona, Oregon St... Florida has Vanderbilt, Mississippi St, South Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky... Texas has Kansas St, Texas A&M, Iowa St, Baylor, Colorado... Plus in their non-conference games, they play teams like St Mary's School For Girls, and Broken Pelvis State. Just to opint out Knight, but Iowa opened the season in the top 25 in one poll. They did lose there stud RB, but they also were the only big ten team last year to win a bowl game and finished last season very strong and ranked.

Something cool about your parents
QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 08:50 AM) My mom recently got her first children's book published. Thats very cool. By the way, Soxtalk must be home to some of the coolest parents ever. My dad sells Real Estate and ummmm...thats all I got. My mom sold clothes to Roger Clemens, Bill Gross, Joan Crock, and a ton of other famous people whose name escapes my mind and she once got me into a model show when I was like 16. To say the least, I felt like a pimp, but really I was just a pimpled dork oohing and awing at models at a young age.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 06:04 PM) My roommate 2 years ago peed in a girls bed one night (he pisses the bed when he drinks too much). Then they started dating for like a year. So you never know... First time I went to kiss my girlfriend was on a night that I couldn't even stand straight and had just finished vomitting onto the street. She turned me down and I woke up from texts from my buddies telling me that I needed to apologize to the girl I brought. I had no recollection of anything, but its still going strong!!!!

9/6 Sox v. Sawks - 1:05 CDT CSN/TBS
Would have loved Getz in the two spot but with a lefty starting I understand. I just hate a guy like Nix that strikes out as much as he does in the 2 spot.

Red Sox @ White Sox, 3:05PM, FOX
Kotsay will be back. Sox really like him and I think he really likes it in Chicago. I f***ing love having a titan on the team. The last time we had a Titan on the roster we won the world series (see Aaron Rowand).
