  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 09:48 PM) No way. She's a swell gal.. Oh, so many things to say, but I just can't say any of them.
  2. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 08:01 PM) wow. pass. but, it might pay off. Oh, sorry, already said that.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 08:19 PM) Too bad. Huckabee is done for. The Fred Thompson entry came at the exact wrong time for him. Which is why he entered when he did, probably.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) That is pretty close to what I do. I leave the house at 4:45 am and get back at about 6 pm. 7:45 to 7:30ish, lately. But, it might pay off. . .
  5. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 07:07 PM) It's about people barely over Medicaid income levels getting some help with a major expense. Many of these jobs do not have full benefits. As modified, that's right, that is what the bill is. The original "floor" at $80K+ was ridiculous, though. As I said, this is about the fight on socialized health care. In this instance, this one is really a hybrid, and the "compromise" bill that was sent to the president was reasonable, IMO.
  6. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 05:44 PM) This reminds me of that post that NSS made a while back asking what exactly has Bush done that is good. It's like he is going out of his way to do the wrong things. At the gym during lunch they showed some poll numbers on one of the TVs that had 75% of Americans supporting this bill. Apparently the hundreds of billions of dollars spent in Iraq won't affect our taxes but this bill will? It's not about 'taxes'. It's about putting our system closer to socialized health care. However, I do disagree with this veto.

    I-Doser

    Wow. That's pretty screwy.
  8. Gooch - no thanks. A-Row - no thanks again, but I've talked about this before.
  9. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 12:12 AM) I've been doing 10.5 hour days at work for about a month now. I'm wrecked. Weeny. I've been working 10.5 hour days for 10.5 years, I think.

    ??? Now I know I'm getting old.
  12. I really don't want to have to log in. Blech.
  13. NO, you're talking crap about Uribe and Owens, etc. Seems fine.
  14. No you haven't. Hammer Time '08 :P
  15. QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 10:35 PM) Did you read his concurring opinion in Carhart? Or his dissenting opinion in Oregon? Thank you Jenks. That was pretty much blown out of the water.
  16. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 09:51 PM) a relation of yours? No, but I definitely know what he's talking about.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 05:41 PM) I have been really lucky with my in-laws. The only one I could complain about is my SIL. Heck my father-in-law put in a hot water heater for us over the weekend!
  18. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 08:48 PM) Of course conservatives never, ever, change their minds. So I understand your comments. Thank you. And you don't either, except once every six months when you do nothing but mock the "conservatives" by using multiple sarcasms.
  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 08:00 PM) Nope. In my quest to prove to people here that liberal media bias is an evil conservative plot, I started logging a few news sites and convinced myself that media bias is alive and well. I feel stupid for defending these people all these years. Disgusting really. Conservatives have been getting screwed for a long time. But I really don't want to belabor the point anymore. Ok, Mr. Multiple Sarcasms.
  20. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 07:53 PM) Me too. You two should just go get a room.
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) We need to cut taxes to pay for this war. I'd bet a 10% decrease in pork spending would have this war paid for in no time. Fixed that for you.
  22. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 06:36 PM) I feel the same way about people that can't hit a softball hard out of the infield. Uh huh.
  23. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 04:37 PM) Ya. They are tremendous. I'm lucky though because Orange County is one of the area's where Cox rolls out stuff first (so we are always the first to get there newest technology/programming). You are very lucky that you're not in a Crime Warner area, especially with the transition from Adelphia/Comcast in LA. It was horrible and a lot of people got fired. TWC's management group is a bunch of incompetent idiots. Oh wait, I better not say that, someone might read this. . . . oh well, too late!

    i am drunk

    QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 07:32 PM) I do it, but I talk baseball. It's fun stuff. Now we know why you make zero sense when talking baseball, or is that when you're sober?
  25. These are kind of cool to do, I think.
