Wow. I agree, Mercy. That guy's crazy, or stupid, or both.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 07:16 PM) The mods are TOO scared to let my brother back! No Freedom of Speech here! Yea. Threatening people through email is something that is guaranteed through freedom of speech. :rolly I'll just stop there. I don't think you want me to continue this part of the conversation.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) I4E, are you back? We missed you. Yea, I think someone's back. He's a little too crazy to be his "calm" brother.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) Just called, it's in the Lower level. It is not accessible to the public, only to people getting off of planes. Muchos gracias!!

I can't tell from the map, but some of the verbage when I did a search seems to indicate that it's inside the main set of terminals, somewhere.
-
My mom is going to Cancun, and they were trying to figure out if they were going to have to be outside when they got back. I guess that Indianapolis the Customs area is in another building and they make you stand outside when going from the plane to and through Customs.
-
Oh they definitely have international flights. They charter to Mexico (Cancun, etc) all the time.
-
Where is the Customs Office at Midway? Is it all housed in the main terminal, or is it in a separate building away from the terminal like some airports?

QUOTE(Soxy @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) Hey, kilts are hot, that's not my fault. Don't hate the player, hate the game. I used to go to ceilidhs just to see all the kilts. No idea why they are so incredibly sexy, but, hot damn, they are. Not to me. There's a festival here, called Scarbourogh Faire, that's pretty good in the spring. Lasts for 6 weeks I think, and there's more then enough kilts to look at. :puke

QUOTE(Soxy @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) Hey, I'm 5'8", best height out there--don't knock it! And a kilt, huh? Yum. Yum? Oh my, I don't think we want to know any more.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) I just think it is both amazing and unfair that the loopholes so many ultra-rich people and corporations can get through to avoid paying their fair share. They want all the rights, liberties and freedoms that America provides them but do not feel a need to pay for them like the rest of us. If any regular SouthSider Q. Public tried to use a Cayman Islands bank account to avoid taxes, we'd have our ass thrown in prison faster than Gary Glitter would molest an underage Vietnamese girl. Plus it doesn't help things when we've got an overspending Congress...and I could live with that if the spending was on the right things instead of the Alaskan bridge to nowhere costing millions, pay raises for already rich fat cats in Congress and the billions in other pork that undercuts having armored Humvees, body armor etc. for soldiers in the front & for adequately funding domestic social programs like food stamps, etc. Congressional spending is by far and away more at fault then anything tax cuts have "chipped away at" for our deficit right now.

Man, I was going to the doctor until I read #6 - I feel like s*** today. Not s***ting on a car, but just s***. Now if someone has a car wash out back, I might be in trouble.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) How exactly can you find that amazing when the population of the nation has grown, the GDP of the nation has grown, and the government has dumped trillions of dollars into the economy in the form of a massive Keynesian stimulus? It was tongue in cheek.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) I bet you and I are taxed at a higher percentage than they are!!! Not trying to be a smart ass, but do you know how the tax system really works? It's not perfect, by any means... but I bet you're wrong on the statement above.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) Okay then...let's nail the unemployed, the homeless, the disenfranchised, the uninsured, etc., Let's let the fatcats like Bill Gates, Donald Trump, the Waltons sit in their ivory towers and make billions of dollars virtually untaxed. Let's let Exxon destroy Alaska.... Virtually untaxed? How would you like to have a $xx million tax bill each year?
-
THE RICH MUST PAY MORE. PAY PAY PAY PAY. :rolly That doesn't work. I find it amazing that tax revenues received is HIGHER with the Bush tax cuts enacted. Hmmm.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) My whole family are Democrats, if that's what you're implying! We know.

BREAKING NEWS... Jiri Fischer...
kapkomet replied to kapkomet's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yea, I'm all about that. :rolly -
Well, if Manny goes to the LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA's, then that's meaning a smaller market for Paulie, and it's looking more and more likely he'll resign with us.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) Do you really believe that the biggest company in the world can't make a few more Xbox's? Seriously? This is the same company that can crank out 80 gazillion copies of Windows when it comes out every few years, do you ever hear about shortages or capacity problems with ANY other MSFT product EVER? Yet it just so happens to be in the same product category, and at the exact same time of year that everyone always has a shortage of their brandnew gaming system. This scarcity is COMPLETELY manufacured (or lack there of I guess would be more acurate). They want to create a huge demand for it, complete with people paying $1000 a piece on Ebay so that in March when they do have them available you will RUN out to buy one at the bargin price of only $400 each, and feel lucky that you got one. This is just excellent marketing, nothing more. *DING* Winnar. I think I already said that in much fewer words, windbag.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) In no way do I think this is any kind of silver bullet. I think it's a timely reminder story given that so much currently hangs on whether Congress did in fact have the infirmation they needed in order to truly make an informed decision. This is one more case documenting that they clearly did not. There are no silver bullets, just many many chinks in the armor until hopefully things that need to come to light can. And of course it's a double-edged sword for the dissenters who are forced by that reality to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks because the White House has been very successful at stonewalling on th big issues. Then we get the snide 'that's right, it's ALL Bush's fault' comments. Yea, because, again, we see a blizzard of stuff every day about how his policies are wrong, or lies, or whatever negative light happens to be spotlighted today. On the flip side, on AM blowtorches, the guy's s***ting golden bricks, and obviously, that's wrong too. It is not as cut and dried as it is made out to be. That's all I'm trying to say, again. Ya'll sick of it yet?

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) I think you are missing the pregnant point, which goes back to exactly what you said – this news is REALLY OLD. Four-plus years old. If you are George Bush, that is. This is information that Bush had TEN DAYS after 9/11. Not now, four years later, but back while Ground Zero was still smoldering. The Administration immediately fell all over themselves to figure out how to parlay the 9/11 tragedy into an Iraq invasion, despite knowing full well that there was no credible Iraq/Al Quaida link. More importantly, having this knowledge did not in any way stop GWB from inferring an Iraq/Al Quaida connection. OBL/Saddam connection at every possible opportunity. And none of it was accompanied with a big "*" stating that "The credible intel strongly suggests otherwise." **INFERRING... really? In SEVERAL speeches, again, they have said over and over and over and over that there is ****NO**** DIRECT connection between 9/11 and Iraq. But he HAS said that Iraq is a part of the larger war on terror. There's a huge distinction between the two. You're looking for a silver bullet here, and there's not one here.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) This makes me want to :puke The media is not biased. Yeah. Right. :headshake Oh come on, YAS! We only see 5,637,234,346 articles a day on THIS forum about how everything is wrong that Bush says, does, or thinks.
