  1. Just delete it if you think that's what it is. Up to you.
  2. And the too many connections error we got then was my fault - i was running a search. oops. I'm going to be doing some server work later today probably, so we should be good through next week - but if we win the whole shooting match, all bets are off.
  3. QUOTE(JCarver27 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) For those who got game 7......what if it doesn't go 7 games? Do they give you your money back? yes
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) Uhhh.. they did. :headshake How many times have you said that? It's funny because hardly anyone was aware of it until the *GASP* WORLD SERIES. Bandwagon f***ers.
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 05:34 PM) And while I'm at it.. the Sox don't control who has a lottery either. MLB does. They control CS and WS ticket sales. Call Bud and complain to him. Now that surprises me. I would think that teams would have a choice about whether they choose to sell on the open market or conduct a "lottery" like the Astros did.
  6. the only thing left now are singles fyi
  7. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Just got 4 for game 1. you mother f***er. you're probably the only one.
  8. my screen's been sitting in 5 minutes for 11 minutes now it's frozen out
  9. holy f***. I called 50 ticket master #'s all across the entire damn country. Every one of them was all circuits busy.
  10. Because they only had one day to do this? I guarantee you that this was hatched on the plane ride home...
  11. You know I'd hope that some of us would share some stuff, because I think that most of us would help each other out in here if we were able. But I guess I'm naive and too nice for my own good. My chances are very slim, but if I score some tickets, for sure some of my soxtalk friends are going.
  12. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) Are we supposed to be calling already? um, no. They're just calling through to check the menu options out ahead of time, I think.
  13. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:20 PM) FYI, the Ticketmaster numbers now ask you right off the bat if want to purchase WS tix, then they dump you into another bank.........and then you usually get a busy signal. It's only 9:20 am. Oh.My.God This is going to be IMPOSSIBLE. I guess I better have a clean couch come Saturday night, huh?
  14. Here's the deal. If we win the world series, or hell, even if we don't, how about we have a soxtalk rule that says we don't talk or read this asshole's stuff. Fair enough? It's not very often I would vote for "censorship" but I certainly vote for it here.
  15. I agree in a weird way, Critic. Especially since there's NO - like ZERO PERCENT - way of getting tickets down there. Meanwhile, if they come back, this is one TIRED ballclub. We should be in a damn good position. At least with the sox, I have a .05% chance. Hey, a chance is a chance.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) I have the whole series on DVR, but I don't know how to transfer it to another format. I will have the WHOLE WS on DVD straight away. I like my new DVR burner.
  17. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:45 AM) I don't know about that interpretation (but I'm not the financial advisor). All the jazz about the non-refundable deposit suggests to me that if they can fulfill their end of the deal (provide you with the season tickets you requested and offer you the chance to purchase 1 WS ticket per potential game per season ticket bought if available, then you are already in for half (the non-refundable part) and will get nicked for the rest tomorrow. If they have the WS tickets available but you don't like the seats or the per game ticket limit you can decline but you're out the non-refundable part. At least that is what I'm getting out of it. Keep us informed. That's exactly how I read it. I can also tell you that they can NOT offer you a WS ticket based on their wording if they so chose. The legality says they don't have to give you s*** for a WS ticket - and they have 50% of your money no matter what for next year. Will they do that? Not likely. But the contract gives them that right. And yes, when you accepted, it IS a contract.
  18. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) i am right now...so this is what i got "White Sox New Season Tickets Deposit Form Thank you for placing a deposit on season tickets for the White Sox 2006 regular season. A ticket account executive will contact you shortly to discuss the details of your order. " COOL! Dude, have a ball for those of us who don't get to go. on ponying up the cash!
