    Apu

I was wondering the same thing.
  2. Kock is rediculous. How can you walk 3 guys in the bottom of the ninth with a 3 run lead? You need to go up there and PITCH. Anyway...

    Apu

He LINKED them, he didn't show them to everyone (unless I'm missing something???)
  4. Ya goin' to Mexico, eh? Fun stuff.
  5. Too messy. But that dude ain't ever seen electrocutions I bet either... I bet somewhere around here it could be linked. See Isreal vs. Palis. thread. Just kidding!!!
  6. Frank batting .300 in April is a damn good thing. The cold is generally not kind to him and since he weathered through the month, he's looking at a great season... and that's definitely a good thing. And really, that goes for the rest of the Sox. 15-9 at this point is pretty darn good because generally they don't play well early and in the cold. As the season heats up so do they, usually. I think that the cross-town part of the schedule now is the most important. They play well for that, and win the series with the Dubs, then they'll be set up for a great second half...
  7. ss2kroids. I like it.
  8. He'll just go spam other places, so why does it matter?
  9. Damn - at least go to the public library to look online for that kind of stuff...
  10. When I first started coming around, ss2k had 32 posts per day. Notice in five months, he's up to 40 posts per day! Too much excretement, er I mean excitement.
  11. You're kidding me?!?! I thought he was a republican? Where did I mess that up?
  12. See, it's all the heart pounding, gut wretching posts like THAT that pads the #'s. Where's that damn flood control on the board?
  13. Come on brutha... Apu AGREED with you!!! Where's the love?!?
  14. GO GO GO GO GO GO GO...
  15. One other thing, V, can you post on here what people say about why they are switching to Kerry? I want real reasons besides John Kerry is not George W. Bush. That's not a good enough reason for the man to run the country, IMO. I'm really interested to see what people say BESIDES he's not Bush.
  16. I agree that Landreau would be a good pick. But again, I think he's going to be looking at somewhere he can get big electoral possibility...??? You don't think so? There's "moderate" to diminish the "liberal" tag the Bushies are throwing his way, and there's the electoral votes to consider. Razor thin margins on the electoral college this year makes this closer then it would otherwise be... so makes his choice that much more difficult... But Powell on Kerry's ticket is a joke, the Trib columnist is insane for even suggesting it. Ya, ya conspriacy theories abound that Powell has been the odd man out of the Bushies party, but I just don't agree that it's really that way. He may have some resentment, as would I (and often do these days) for my employer, but he's not going to go "running to the opposite party".
  17. Ok seriously... McCain? Well, ok, but I don't think he'd run on a ticket with Kerry - maybe some "liberal conservative" if there is such a thing... someone more in line of his own idealogy and I don't think that's Kerry - even with the "respect" he has shown him. Powell? You've got to be kidding me. You think that Powell would run on Kerry's ticket? ROTFLMAO. So, again, seriously, I ask, who do you think REALLY will be folks who will end up on Kerry's ticket?
  18. I can see it now... Clinton-Bayh in '08.
  19. Kerry needs to pull someone in from a heavy electorate count state to bolster his electoral count. Otherwise, he doesn't stand a chance. And, Bayh just is not liberal enough. Perhaps, however, Bayh would pull in some "centrists".
  20. People in general have very little understanding when it comes to public financing. Please note, folks, that VERY FEW stadiums are owned by the teams that play in them. Therefore, THE TEAM has NOTHING to do with renovations. And yes, Arlington is an awesome place to watch a game... Last night was perfect. 70 degrees, no wind... really really nice night for a ball game!
  21. Orel Hershiser was brought in last year, but they got rocked last year. I think a year makes a big difference because these guys know what to expect from Hershiser - who I always thought of as a pretty cerebral pitcher. One thing that occured to me as I was watching was just the pace at which they pitch. R.A., even when he got in trouble, was working pretty quickly yesterday. I really think that makes a difference - it keeps your fielders in the game and everyone involved. Last year, when they would get in trouble they would slow way down and get all nervous, and before you know it, BLAM, big inning. I think there was an element to A-Rod being a "cancer" as well. The dude just brought the attention. These guys are playing well as a TEAM, aggressive, playing fundamental baseball. I think that A-Rod was always supposed to be the hero, and when he wasn't, everyone knew it. The guys this year just appear to be themselves, pitchers included... pressure's off, so to speak, to have to perform for PayRod.
  22. Hehe... I was there. Not one of the morons chanting sweep in the EIGHTH inning, though, I've seen the WHITE Sox come back a few too many times this year. And the ninth got interesting when the ump decided to start squeezing the zone just a bit. He must be from Baastan. Seriously, The Rangers with the best record in the AL!!! AND the Sox! Life is good.
