  1. Yea, but again, these two are not one and the same, they are different commodities. Why is it that they have heating oil (jet a) futures, gas futures, oil futures? They are like products but not one and the same. And the demand is higher on gasoline as a whole then the other products I mention. Yes, there's a correlation, but not a direct, comparison.

    "Whiplash"

I'm glad he said it, because I would have. You've GOT to go, just in case something "weird" happens. Whiplash is definitely a true phenonemon (I work for a rehab company, no, not a chiro) and it's definitely legit. Best advice, go to a dr., NEVER tell the insurance agent ANYTHING, and let it all settle down before you do anything else.
  3. Do some research on the demand of gasoline from 10 years ago to now. It costs more to ship it across the ocean then it did to make it here. Does this equate to $42. bbl for oil? No. But gasoline and oil are two different products.
  4. OUCH. A team is only as good as it's weakest link. You can't get any momentum built when 85% of the time you're going to lose every fifth day.
  5. Before you know it, he'll be passing ss2k.
  6. I don't have time to expand on this right now, but I was talking with someone who was over there just a week or two ago (I will if I can later today)... but suffice it to say that there's also a lot going on over there that's NOT being reported. I think part of the insurgency is directly tied to the media outlets. I'm not saying that's wrong, I'm saying that is a fact. They KNOW that the media will report on the insurgency, they KNOW that the media outlets will blow the political flames. If they didn't report on it, there's no hope to their cause. The media is the enabler of all this violence, without them, there wouldn't be nearly as much. Again, to emphasize, I'm not saying that in and of itself is a "bias", I'm just stating a fact.
  7. Again, most if not all of what these radio shows (Rush and Hannity) say are all about R-A-T-I-N-G-S. Nothing more, nothing less. But, remove yourself from the biases of either side. Why DON'T we read more in the "mainstream press", ie most morning newspapers, most morning television shows and where most people go to get their news, (why don't we read more) about the rebuilding efforts, the schools, the "every day Iraqi"? Because BAD NEWS SELLS. If everyone were wiping a tear from their eye in glee about all the good things in Iraq, there wouldn't be anything else to say about it, and there'd be no contraversy. They HAVE to drum up this contraversy to feed each other's political agenda, and that's where all this "bias" comes from. Depending on what's news, you can tell often times what the political agenda is...
  8. I agree. Most Americans, (MOST... hehe), when they smell a rat, set the rat trap. Otherwise, people think that the media has it in for Bush, and he gets sympathy. THHHHWWWAAAACCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK! (rat trap)

    Be Good

So Be Good, Not only is it your b-day but guess who's throwing out the first pitch tonight at the ballpark? Anna Kournikova (sp) She's here as a part of the renaming of the Ballpark in Arlington to Ameriquest Field in Arlington. (Damn I was hoping that Texas could stay away from the corporate name, but you just about can't get away from it anymore, too much money. Tom Hicks has to pay A-rod's remaining Texas' part of the contract somehow).
  10. Not a part of your poll, but to raise a point regarding this issue. Oil prices are at an all time high, yes, that's true. But tell me when the last refineries were built in this country. There have been ZERO refineries built in the last 11 or 12 years. The demand for gasoline is at an all time high in this country because we have huge amounts of cars on the road as compared to 12 years ago. And, there's more SUV's, etc out there then ever before. Why are there no refineries being built? This is largely due to environmental concerns. When a refinery permit is applied for, the environmental groups are on it like flies on doo doo, and the appropriate permits cannot be obtained to build anymore refineries in the US. This leads to little supply and high demand. This is a classic supply vs. demand issue, not (all) "profiteering", although when supplies are this tight, there is a TON of room for profits (and yes, that's disgusting, but the way it is).
  11. Just in case you hadn't notice, juggs, my references were very tongue and cheek. Of course that's not the answer, but if we're going to "nuke" one place, we should look no further then our own country for extremeists. That was my point.
  12. Yea, cause they will literally be the only game in town next year. I guess Dallas is getting a WHA team.
  13. If 1000 of your posts weren't in the game threads f-bombing everything it'd be better... Maybe someday I'll be there.

    my dinner tonight

cw, Even though we may disagree sometimes ideologically, your service in the political realm is awesome and definitely to be commended. I respect people like you so much - you get involved, something I hope many others would learn and take from you on this site. Getting involved IMO gives you more right to b**** then anyone else, because you are trying your hardest to get something done for which you believe in - and that is abolsutely fantastic. when you get a pic or two, post em!!
  16. Yea, and so is paying people to do their jihad work. But supposedly Bin Laden is paying the families of "martyrs" 10,000 grams of gold? I am so tired of all the fanatical hate that this whole thing is breeding. We have the same fanatical "Christians", why don't we want to nuke the piss out of our own? Just sayin'.
  17. Noticed that Milwaukee defeated the Chicago Wolves 4 games to 2.
  18. I agree with your assessment 100%. BOTH SIDES play this partisan BS.
  19. Just went and got some Texas BBQ. Mmmmmmmm...
  20. The thing about him is his stuff moves. Damn good movement.
  21. There's actually a story - then another to follow: I used to work for an airline, the exec team is from here, but at the time, they were all living in Indiana. And they would for company get togethers they would always order BBQ and fly it up to Indiana. Then, having not been to Texas, that was always some good food! Of course, I'm convinced that is why management moved back to Texas, and they brought me with them, so that's why I'm here. Anyway, part II is there's a couple of companies from Memphis that do mail order BBQ. Difference between Memphis BBQ is it's dry BBQ, generally here in Texas it's wet. Of course when you put the sauce on it's all good. www.corkysbbq.com is one place that mail orders from Memphis, it's pretty good stuff. There's others. Do a google search and you'll come up with quite a few.
  22. I just might have to slap the crap out of myself to believe what I'm reading.
