YOU have that much influence and a direct line to the President? How impressive!
-
The thing that makes me what to :fyou right at them is that all this same type of stuff happened BEFORE the "prison-abuse scandal" ever happened. Whether the "prison abuse" went on or not, they were looking for this type of barbarism to drive their point home anyway. It's not the Iraqi people as a rule, though. It's outside influences. I had the pleasure of listening to a contractor that has been over there and was home last week for "vacation". He said that 95% of the people over there were great. And it's the 5% that you have to worry about - and about 4.99% of the 5% were outside influences trying to drive the US out.

Marketing GENIUS. -
It supercedes it, but it does not replace it, which was my point. By the way, both to you and c-dub, when you don't interject the personal "insults", this is a fascinating discussion between you. There's a lot to be learned if one really wants to by this exchange. to both of you.

I think that these two parts of this post hit it right on the head. You cannot have one covenant without the other. It in no way replaces the old, it merely changes the covenant. We are to learn from it's history, lessons, and good/evil teachings. While relevant to the new covenant doesn't require that we run around and slaughter animals, etc., we are to learn from those examples in the old testament times the ideals of sacrifice, etc.

Perhaps because you keep replying to it? Just a thought.

I was just trying to lighten the mood! Poor choice of words?

c-dub, I crack up every time I see your sig. Have you been getting all jacked up for the Kerry-McCain ticket? LMAO.

I tend to agree, Apu. Hannity and Rush (and yes, Moore too) are ENTERTAINERS. They don't give a rat's ass about what the general public thinks (it's called R-A-T-I-N-G-S), they say what they (Rush and Hannity anyway) say to completely offer a 100% other side of the story from what our main-stream media has to say. The truth often lies somewhere in the middle. I get defensive when I get labeled into something I'm not, and I certainly am not a neo-con who blatently believes everything I may be spoon-fed from a right-winged radio talkshow. Again as I stated, the difference in what you all were doing is when I wrote what I wrote to start the post I was kidding. We all know your tendencies (at least in posting your thoughts) and I honestly had a good chuckle, wrote that, and moved on. I didn't (try to) insinuate anything and to read the post that c-dub wrote that he was speaking on your behalf, get your ass back here and fight like a man!! (Yes, I'm kidding). I'm sorry you had an issue with my first post in this thread. Changing directions, my slant - There are often times where I actually agree with your point of view. In this case, I wish to heck EITHER party, SOME party, had a candidate we could follow with good faith to know that they were going to do the right thing with the major issues of today ("war on terrorism", economy, deficit, etc). Neither Bush nor Kerry are worth .02 anymore. IT scares me to think what Bush is going to do when he has no reprocussions assuming he is re-elected. Without regard to being "re-elected", he's going to REALLY ram down the throats of us more of a neo-con agenda, and that's quite scary in my mind because the country is not ready nor willing to accept that. But no one realizes it yet. Kerry, on the other hand, has not had an original thought since heck knows when, and that makes me question his leadership abilities. These political times suck - and the polarization is very clear with Michael Moore offering what he is, and Hannity and Limbaugh offering what they do. They are the same breed, just opposite sides of the spectrum.

So are you imlying that the Sox'll be out of it by then? You commie bastard!
-
No, it's not. I think for them it's worse. To destroy their honor when we're supposed to be above all that, is just sick. Look, we all know it happens, but wait until they get ahold of some of our soldiers. You think what you saw WAS sick, what will come of it is going to be 10 times worse.
-
oh for crying out loud. It was a joke. Get over it. And your post wasn't. That's the difference. And seriously, I like reading Apu's side of things. It keeps things in balance on here.
-
And if that's true, the Sox suck right now. Sorry, but that's the facts. I think that a message, a loud and clear one, must be sent. Something needs to get this team's attention before you start losing the season. Blah blah blah, they're still in first, blah blah blah. Yes. True. But this road trip was a team that looked pretty lathargic from what I saw, and you can't half ass a 6 game road trip and just expect it to turn to success overnight. Wake up call, please? I think they will come around, but I don't think it's a lightswitch that you can turn off and on.

Not to "arm" some folks around here, but the same argument of "dead" can be listed as KIA in these "so-called wars". Blood is blood, mano.
-
Why do people that tend to be conservative have to be labeled with Limbaugh? That's crap.
-
Don't bother. Nuf said.
-
The Rangers were down TEN runs in this one. And they won 16-15 in 10 innings. That just amazes me. This team is just something else to watch.
-
Yea. and even more trouble is that Rummy foreshadowed that there is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY worse stuff that will come out. Pot, kettle, kettle, pot. And we will NOT overcome this. This country is too fragile in this element to overcome it. I hope I'm wrong, but there's too many people that hate the thought of why we're over there and this just empahsizes that point, actions of a few or not.

But, IE4, ALL THE TIME?!? Now we know what's wrong with you!

I didn't do so well in the second round. San Jose played pretty darn well against Colorado. Colorado just didn't show up the first three games of the series. I think they thought San Jose was going to roll over like Dallas did. Guess what? Didn't happen. And the Leafs - I should have went with my first instinct to say that whoever came out alive from the Ottawa/Toronto series was going to get beat in the next round. I just thought Toronto had a better match-up. Philly was more hungry. On to the CONFERENCE FINALS! San Jose/Calgary: All I can say is wow, I wouldn't have thought these two teams would be left. These two teams mirror each other. Many, many things tie them together, Kippersoff, Sutter, they both play hard, good forechecking teams, etc. This series is so hard to pick. I actually like Calgary's tenacity, but I think they've just about used up any energy they have to get through the first two rounds. San Jose on to the Cup finals... in 6. Tampa/Philadelphia: On paper, Tampa should kick the snot out of Philadelphia. But don't underestimate one Coach Ken Hitchcock. Philadelphia is hitting a pretty good groove here. Again, this is hard to pick. In the end, I think that goaltending is what will make the difference, and I just don't have the confidence in Esche/Burke as I do Kabi/Grahme. Tampa in 6. That would set up the BAY Stanley Cup Finals, and will the ratings suck ass for that!

Lieberman's awesome.

But you hear a lot of "Jeff Gordon's gay" songs.

Ooooo. OOOOO.... Ohhh. Ohhhhhh... I know I know I know!

My cats are like that too... they are awesome. And one of ours has just been diagnosed with diabetes, since we've been giving her insulin she's been awesome, coming to the door when we get home, playing, really affectionate... And to know, that one day we'll be in the same spot as you, makes me really sad. Sorry to hear that...
