  1. I think for Fla. he's the perfect guy, in that he implements systems, something that Fla. is lacking terribly. If he would ever display some emotion, Jacque would be better suited. Great systems guy, little emotion, and after dealing with Keenan, that might not be so bad for Fla.
  2. Fla. Panthers fire Rick Dudley, a day before his former team plays in the Stanley Cup finals. And, as a former GM of Ottawa, who frankly built that team as well, I think it opens the door for ... Jacque Martin being named BOTH GM and Coach of the Panthers. We'll see.

    Nixon vs. Bush

Oh, the thought's there. Believe me, the thought's there. It would take a lot of cahones, however, to actually put it on the record.
  4. They can't. Unless they go onto the server and get into the database, which is, trust me, a huge pain in the ass. Even if there were problems on the board that I run, there's no way I would get in the sequel database to see PM's. Through the board itself, the admins can't read pm's etc. but through the database they could but it's highly unlikely, and only those with complete server access to boot, which is not many of the admins.
  5. While you're in Mexico, I get to go to the Stanley Cup Finals. I'm excited. This is going to be an absolute blast. Oh yea, I guess I end up missing the Sox and Rangers. That's a bummer... !!! My two favorite teams playing and I have to miss it...
  6. I saw this just a little bit ago too. It's just to the place that it's hard to know what the hell is really going on now.
  7. But the point is, they listen to THEIR side before they listen to ours, because it's more dramatic and honestly fits the mode of slapping around our government for doing the wrong thing. I find it really ironic how the media pushed us into the war for beating the s*** out of a dead horse, and now, they are pushing us into failure. Mark my words. Saudi Oil fields are the next major target... and the media is just playing along... and you think gas prices are high now? Hybrid cars will be out in a year if that happens. And a lot of this is pure media spin. Sensationalism at its finest - and anything to make a buck.
  8. But the media is NOT biased!!!
  9. You do have a point. Who would have thought that Dontre Willis, Beckett, Penny, etc. would have fared as well as they did for Fla. last year? I just don't have a warm and fuzzy about our starters in a playoff situation, then again, as they say, "anything can happen, it's a new season". I just would feel a whole lot better with a proven #1... I think this team is capable of winning the central, it's a WEAK division. I just can't see how they go further, but September is not here yet, and until we get there, we really don't know, it's all speculative.
  10. Sorry to rain on the happy Sox parade, but it's true. E-lo as a #1 starter in the play offs? MB? Scho? Garland? 'Cuse me while I :puke Over the course of the season, they can hold their own. But against the best rotations in baseball in the playoffs, they can't hold a candle to any of the teams' #1 and #2. So, really, yes, we need a #1 that pushes back everyone one slot. Someone that can pitch 3 games in a ALCS and win you 2 of three and everyone else pitches in the other 2 wins. Right now, I have no faith that any of these guys on the current staff that will start 3 games in a 7 game series in the playoffs and be effective...
  11. And I have tickets for game 2... sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet...
  12. And Sulli lost against Oakland today when KC had the lead 4-2. Awwww...
  13. Bora$$ definitely tarnishes his image. The guy is THE BEST GAMER that we have in baseball today. He plays his guts out, day in and day out. But, he's tarnished because of the greed contract - and much of that was Bora$$.
  14. Sitting here watching Texas beat the Yankmee$ again, this time with a walk off homer in the 9th to sink 'em 4-3. So the Rangers now have a better record then the almighty Yankmee$.
  15. It's funny you should say that. I've been in the Dominican Republic. I know what it's like. They live a simple life, they do what it takes to live every day to put food on the table. Sometimes, when I take a step back, I wish this country had that as a model. We ALL are so damn spoiled. I've experienced this by living with a host family in a third world country. I loved it, because it taught me lessons that I would never otherwise get. I guess that's why I get so bent out of shape when these assholes that run our country tell us we need to sacrifice more so that things FROM THEIR PERSPECTIVE can run like they think they should. It's tough, but on our toughest day, we are freaking KINGS compared to almost every other country in the world.
  16. I am the admin of another site just exactly like this (same software even!!!, I've found none better for the cost, I'm sure Jason can agree). And there are some real nutcases. I understand Aboz's concern because every once in a while I think the same thing he did as an admin to the website/message board I run. But through the years, I've just learned to not give a s*** about what other people do. If they want to "lurk", it really doesn't matter. Often times, they're lurking to see if anything has changed or if they are being talked about. Aboz, I understand your frustration, but really, it doesn't matter. Screw 'em. Your job as an admin is just to make sure that we don't become assholes, don't get in the way of a good site, and have a blast killing the trolls.
  17. With this, I agree. The sacrifices that are being called on us (sorry to generalize - I don't remember the detail of where I was reading this) is stemming from a couple of comments that McCain and Kerry were making about a week or so ago. And they were both being quite righteous with their comments. My initial reaction was :fyou because they have no idea how hard it is out here for average Americans to do ANYTHING these days... they get their living off the contributions of others. And they act like we have no idea how hard they have it. The only political access to these freakin' morons in Washington is drop a $1000 check off for my political contribution, and that will get you 15 minutes to talk to your representative. It sucks. I hate this system.
  18. I only meant that they ALL have identical records.
  19. I could care less that Heinz and Kerry are rich, I said it before and I'll say it again, I think it took a lot of balls for Kerry to put up his (their, who cares??) own money at a time his campaign needed it. Most of the other candidates wouldn't or didn't. That part, I admire. That's why he gets to run for president and the others don't. I never question their relationship. None of that matters - neither the Bushes or the Kerrys. Where I get all pissed off and think it's HYPOCRITICAL is when these assholes, republican AND/OR democrat, tell us that the American people need to sacrifice in these tough times. What pure HYPOCRITICAL bulls*** that is, all these fat cats on capitol hill telling us we need to sacrifice. How about not voting for a raise at midnight right before a vacation damn near every year? That's just one example. And where has most of this money came from? Dare I say it's "dirty"? Naaaah. Couldn't be. As far as their personal lives and how they spend their money, I could care less. Just don't try to empathize with me, because most of these politicians I don't think remember the humble lifestyle.
  20. This Ranger team is really fun to watch. Seeing as how that's the only way I get to see live baseball, I watch them pretty often. The pitching has made HUGE strides. If they get a solid pitcher or two this year at the deadline and this offseason, they could be right in the thick of things. BTW, the Yankmee$ and the Rangers have identical records... 24-17 and ..... so do the Sox oh, ..., and Minny... how bizarre!!!!
  21. And furthermore, as a middle class white parent, where would YOU send your kids? Equality, my ass.
  22. I know that there's a lot of Philly fans here because of the ex Hawks connections, but... GO TAMPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The reason being, is I am 90% going to game 2 IN TAMPA assuming they win. That just freaking rocks... A business partner of mine has a suite rented... and I'm soooooooooo there if Tampa makes it. So Tampa has to win and that 10% Murphy's law needs to stay away so I can go, dang it!
  23. Y'all are going to hell...
