Kenny Rogers?
Rogers would be a nice pickup. He eats up innings and is a veteran lefthander. Hopefully he would like to come to the Sox at a reduced rate and play for a potential contender. I think we have a better chance of signing either Person or Helling.

Is Sandy really that bad?
Alomar is like having another coach on the team. He knows the league and is good with the pitchers.

Welcome to the Cell!!
They can call it whatever they want and that is fine with me. Being a Sox fan for over 40 years it will always be Comiskey to me.

Secret to Success in 2003
I believe we are weak in the following areas C, CF, Defense and the leadoff spot. These I think are our main areas of concern. Hopefully they will work themselves out during Spring Training.

Herbert Perry
Herbert Perry was/is a true professional and a credit to baseball.

Sox, Koch sign two-year deal
The Sox signed Koch to a 2 year deal today.

What Should be the Sox Next Move?
Sign Rick Helling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sox sign: Burke, Morales, Loaiza, Heredia, Cooper,
Brian Daubach can play IB/OF/DH he will be a good left handed bat for us.
-
Non Roster Invitees
Brian Daubach is a good pickup. He will give us some much needed pop from the left side of the plate.

Jose Cruz
I would love to see the Sox sign Cruz. Our options in center after Rowalnd and Brochard are slim. If Rowland doesn't totally recover from his accident and Brochard can't hit Major League pitching.......It would be nice to have Cruz as an option.

Free Agents the Sox should persue
I agree sign Helling he would be a good addition to our staff.

Sn Report: Sox Inch Closer to Colon as Market Dies
You CAN NOT TRADE Crede. Good 3B are hard to come by.

Column: Shades of 2000?
It might be too early to give up on Ritchie, even though he STUNK up the place last year. I would consider bringing him into Spring Training on a Minor League contract and give him an opportunity to provie himself. If he gets rocked in the Spring...then cut your losses and get rid of him for good.

Potential Free Agent Pitchers
There are still some fairly decent free agent starters available, that I feel could help us. In no priority order 1. Rick Helling 2. Chuck Finley 3. Ismael Valdes 4. Kenny Rogers 5. Robert Person

New Colon Rumor
According to mlb.com it does not look like Colon will be heading to Florida. So we still have a chance. Even if we are very LUCKY and get Colon, I would also look at sigining Rick Helling. Nobody seems to talk about him, but he is a pretty decent pitcher who eats up alot of innings.

Very Very Dull, but not surprising.
I think the only reason the Sox did not jump on Millwood was $$$$. I believe he is due $10 million this year. That would have put KW behind the 8 ball in attempting to sign Buehrle to a long term deal. How could he justify paying his #2 starter $10 million and Buehrle his #1 "Ace" less?

Colon rumor
I would only trade for Colon if KW could sign him to at least a 3 year deal. I think this is the last year on his current contract.
