Grimsley coming into the game now.
-
Uribe walks but is picked off of first. Valentin just misses a homer, by a few feet... DAMNIT.
-
I disagree. He's just missing his spots, but he's keeping the ball down. Hell, he ended up getting out of that inning quite easily and he made Carlos Beltran look quite foolish. We just mite have another solid reliever in our bullpen. Ill knock on wood as I type that.
-
cw, we're up - here's a little recap. First inning, Beltran homers, 1-0 Royals. Valentin doubles home Uribe, 1-1. Lee sac fly, 2-1 Sox. Rowand homered, in the second, I think. 3-1 Sox. Juan Gone homers in the fourth, 3-2 Sox. Frank homers, a two run shot, 5-2 Sox. Top of the sixth right now, Beltran on first, nobody out.
-
Unless you're listening to Bill Walton...
-
Nice inning, Buerhle-Mon. 1-2-3, not a lot of pitches. Great, now lets pad that lead!!!
-
Lets go Mark, lets get 'em quick, we need some more runs. We'll have the top of the order in the bottom of the fifth, let's see if our lineup can get to him. He's retired 7 in a row, Anderson that is.
-
Flyout to end the inning, 3-2 Sox going to the Bottom of the fourth. Buerhle is AT LEAST at 70 pitches right now. Hopefully he can get through six, possibly into the seventh. If he doesn't make it that far, I'd give the ball to Cotts, to Marte to Politte.
-
Buerhle's pitch count is at least at 65 right now... Ugh...
-
Juan Gone takes one deep to right, a liner. 3-2 Sox

I, for one, will be happy next season when Beltran ISN'T in a Royal Uni. Lets just hope a team like the Tigers doesn't grab him. That would be pretty sweet if we got him, but that would probably mean no Mags. Brings up an interesting question: How much will Beltran want? And, who would you rather have, Mags or Beltran? I'd probably take Mags, he's the face of our team - I hope they get done resigning him soon.
-
Pena comes out and gives his words of wisdom to Anderson. Mags GIDP, lets hope that we can have a big inning next inning to put Anderson out of his misery. HE GONE!
-
Keep the bats hot, fellas. If we can get Anderson out early, that is great. Lets go Sox!

Lets go Sox! Lets go Sox! Lets go Sox!

I don't want to try and defend Koch here, but look again at the pitch to Beltran.. Down and away... It was a good pitch, Beltran made a good swing on it and hit it out. He's one hell of a player.

Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL! I hope they sweep tommorow, I wanna go but I can't find a way to get there....

Meet Your 2004 Chicago White Sox! Winning Ugly and The Go-Go Sox, featuring speedsters of Frank Thomas and "Wheels" Konerko.

My mistake, thanks for the correction.

I think my parents would be worried the whole day if I took the train, that's why I dont think that's a possibility.

Yeah well, We got Miguel Olivo in that trade too, if we don't have Olivo we don't win the game today. Plus he's laying off breaking pitches a LOT better than last year. Personally, It wouldn't surprise me if Olivo hits 270+ with right around 60 or 70 RBIs, pretty good production from the lower third of the order IMO. While Koch blows - first, why was he in the game yesterday anyways? With a seven run lead, I think Shingo should have gotten another chance, or someone like Adkins. I still want to see Koch get another chance, call me crazy (which will probably happen.), but I still think if Koch can hit 95 and have movement on his pitches, he can be effective (that didn't happen today). Anyways, I don't think our 'pen is terrible. Marte, even though he had a bad outing, is one of the better relievers in all of baseball. Politte has been pretty lights out so far. Adkins, while he's inexperienced, has been solid so far - same goes for Cotts. Jackson hasn't been terrible, and we really haven't seen Shingo (other than one outing, his first, in all places, Yankee Stadium). I think one move is necessary that could really improve our bullpen as well as our rotation, and it's as simple as switching Neal Cotts and Danny Wright. Wright can be more effective when he throws for a shorter amount of time, he could put more on his fastball and not worry about how many pitches he's throwing. Cotts is a starter, simple as that, has good stuff, and should be given/has earned a spot to start on this team.

I wish I could find someone to drive me to the game tommorow, I get my license in July, so that's cool . But I want to go to the game tommorow and bring a broom, but I dont have a ride, both of my parents are working...
-
If I'm there, I'll have a broom with me.

For the large group of fans in Left Field....

Oh yeah, I caught one too yesterday. Who's was yours from? Mine was hit by Angel Berroa - the guy above me dropped it, and it fell right into my feet. I kind of wanted to keep it, because I've never caught/had an actual game baseball, and it was hit by Angel Berroa, last years ROTY, so that's pretty cool. Plus, I'm only 16. I'm still a kid, right? -
f*** those KC announcers, they're terrible. Playing like the White Sox? You mean, playing solid fundamental baseball with a good offense and (most days) decent pitching? Do they not realize that not one of their starting pitchers would crack our top 3 pitching of Garland Loaiza and Buerhle? That really pisses me off. Best lineup in the majors? Santiago is old, Juan Gone is overrated, Graffanino/Relaford are average, Randa isn't great. Bulls*** everything they say. I never, never mean to wish injury upon a person, but I hope McDougal stays on the DL the whole season. f*** everyone for KC, we should be 4-0 against them, if not for a miracle comeback against our 'best' reliever in Marte. They should be praying dearly that Beltran isn't traded at the deadline, because if he is, they are "Royally" screwed. :fyou :fyou :fyou

OK guys I'm off to my game. Bring me home a White Sox Winner!!!!!
