We killed ourselves today fellas. First inning, runners at the corners, one out. Double play. Another inning, we had runners at first and second, nobody out. Rowand fails the bunt attempt (which I really didn't agree with, I would rather have had Rowand swing the bat, but thats not a big problem.) and we don't score that inning. Valentin triples in the 7th or 8th, Magglio just misses the long ball, but still fails to get him home. Last inning, when Uribe pinch ran for Crede, can someone tell me why Timo Perez isn't bunting? If Perez bunts Uribe over to second, Gload knocks Uribe home and we go to the bottom of the ninth. Again, I thought that Ozzie would have Timo bunt to get him into scoring position. You cannot let friggin Bubba Crosby beat you, especially with homers. He beat us today, with his glove and with his bat. Though it may not seem like it, I'm really happy with how the series went. Split a series with arguably the best team in baseball, and if you think about it, our pitching made their lineup look pretty dismal (sp?). I don't think Wright should stay in the rotation - I feel he's better suited for the bullpen, and Cotts deserves a shot. If not Cotts, there's Rauch and perhaps Diaz down at AAA. Too many times I saw Olivo spot up on the outside corner, only to have Wright throw it inside, or vice versa. Now, let's go home and beat those Royals!

OK Its off to the Easter party, bring me back a winner fellas! Go Sox! We can come back, it's one run fellas!
-
3 pitches and the K. Beautiful might I add. Curve ball away, fastball in, curve in the dirt.
-
I hope our guys don't start and try to just swing for the fences. I'd like to see them swinging the for the opposite way if it's there, trying to get some gappers. Lets go Sox!

JOSE TIES IT!!!!!
-
I dont like the idea of bunting with Rowand there. Konerko is slow so it needs to be a perfect bunt, I'd rather take my chances with Crash swingin the stick. Oh well, that's Ozzie-ball for ya. Let's go Danny!
-
Start bubblin' up their in the clouds. Please, rain after the fifth, with the Sox on top! I want some more runs - that would really take some pressure off of Danny.
-
After the fifth inning - STALL!
-
Valentin is really, really not showing his 5 million dollar worth right now.....
-
Lay off of Wright a little bit - If Jose makes an easy play on a ground ball its 3-0 Sox still. If I'm Ozzie, I'm tellin' the guys to try and play a five inning game - get through five, and let the weather take over, lol. Go Sox!

Mags on pace for 324 RBIs, and about 95 homers!
-
Yeah, it's sad that they take getting to the playoffs for granted. They don't even sellout the first round of the playoffs.

I am really getting excited, with the combined good play of our Sox early on, as well as getting to be in the stadium for Opening Day. Personally, win or lose, I am going to cheer my ass off for this team when they return home, back to the Cell, on Tuesday. I'd be very happy with how we opened up, splitting a road series with arguably the best team in the AL (albeit not on their A game right now), as well as with a division rival. Someone said it earlier - play 500 ball on the road, and play 600 at home. I just saw pics of the fan deck, it looks superb! I'm thinking about the hot dogs with the grilled onions and mustard - delicious! Curly fries! Nachos! Damn, I cannot wait! WOOOH!!!!! LETS GO SOX! LETS GO SOX!

Talk about an underrated player right there, Orlando Cabrera. The past three seasons, he's hit .260+, last year he even hit 297 with around a 350 OBP IIRC. I would take any of their two middle infielders, Cabrera or Vidro, in a heartbeat. But if Harris keeps this up, we'd only need to make a move for a SS. What's Cabrera's contract situation?

Sorry guys, Im going to get greedy. I want a win tommorow and a series win, 3-1!
-
Jeter is hitting Buerhle hard, nice play by Wee Willie. A question, real quickly - can someone tell me why the top parts of the upper deck at the Stadium in right and left field aren't being sat in/used?
-
If only JM let him start last year at the Stadium - we had a chance to sweep the Yanks, and take a load of momentum back to the Cell. And then Manuel calls on Cotts for the start...
-
Keep 'em comin, Buerhle-mon!
-
9 pitches the last two innings. He isn't throwing strikes, yet we're making him look like Nolan Ryan...
-
Besides the reason of Ozzie-ball, why was Sandy even bunting there anyways?
-
Pathetic, four friggin pitches. Patience at the plate is key.
-
Magglio's glove!
-
Why not do the opposite, trade one of the younger prospects for pitching? Magglio is the whole package - good attitude, solid defensively, very good at the plate. I'm tired of hearing about prospects. Joe Borchard, while still could pan out, was a top prospect not so long ago. What happened?
-
Props to Kenny for the trade that he didn't make, Konerko for Odalis Perez....

Good point, cheat. One person you can look at is, from the Cubs, Carlos Zambrano. He was great during the regular season - but time after time, Dusty kept him out there for 120 pitches, 100 pitches, etc. etc. Come late September and playoff time, he was off his game. Im glad how Jon pitched today, but 110 should be a limit, maybe even lower. Again, though, I'm happy as hell how Jon pitched today. I feel good with Mark out on the bump tommorow too.
